"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

ALEX & NOAH / SSSC #101, PPCC #45 & ASC #34...

Good morning! This is Alex & Noah, with matching sentiments called Brothers Big & Small. Since I made a digi of a ragdoll Maisie and her imaginary sister, I should make an Alex digi, too! I try to keep things VERY even around my house. Kids are the first responders when it comes to calling things fair & square - lol! Plus Alex loves coloring, so he'll like this!

I used Karen's sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for my little card, and also the theme of guys cards from Aly's Sunday Sketch and Penny's Paper Crafty anything goes challenge. Laos playing with the Southern Girls with dry embossing!

Have a great day!!!

SNOW FAMILY CANDLE SHADE / TPE #90, SS, PPC #44 & TG #60...

Happy Monday!!! It's so cooooolllllddddd here it COULD snow if we got any rain! We have a Winter Wonderland Challenge for you today over at the Pink Elephant... hope you can play along!

I used Lori Boyd's scrumptiously sweet little image, Snow Family, for this quick project. The digi is printed onto vellum, colored, punched at the top with a border punch & wrapped around a votive holder or other glass jar. Then I applied tons of stickles and some rhinestones! The jar I used here was from a used up candle. You may remember I made a similar one a month or so ago.... they are SO FUN & EASY!!! I think I'll make a ton of them for my mantel, all shapes & sizes!

Here's what it looks like lit in the dark... I should have used a tripod!

Other challenges I'm entering this in...

Stamp Something - Digi Day

Have a beautiful day!

TRICK-OR-TREAT / ST 11.4.10 & PPCC #41...

We had a great time trick-or-treating with the kids last Saturday! Jeff had to work, so his mom ('Mommu'), sister and her kids came over to walk around with us. Alex really got the hang of it this year and Maisie Grace enjoyed trying to eat her tutu!

This page cover 2 challenges, the spooktacular LO over at Sketchy Thursdays and a new-to-me challenge that probably shouldn't be new-to-me, Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge to use the colors purple, black & orange.

This cute digi kit is from Jessica Sprague, called Too-Cute-To-Spook by Creatively Crystal. There are a few elements that I pulled from other kits, like the stitches, tearing masks, buttons and ric-rac.

Bye for now...

A VERY YELLOW PRESENT / Act #22 & SSSC #61...

I was up very late last night stamping... too late, really! Now I have a stamping "hangover" - LOL! Do I know how to PARTY or WHAT?!?

When I saw these colors of Stacey's, they reminded me of another challenge she'd done, so I knew this was my chance to 'somewhat' redeem myself. My take on that previous challenge was not only dreadful, but embarassing as well - hah! I got a comment a few months ago basically telling me my stamping had gotten much better over the years... at first I was a little offended, but then I realized it was true. Next month will be four years since I've been blogging, and about 5 since I started stamping. I do still make ugly cards sometimes - lol! (But I'm starting learn that I don't have to post EVERYTHING I make! Especially if it doesn't turn out right...)

Karen's sketch is really cute this week, too! I altered it a little. She has great sketches week after week! I don't know how she does it... and doesn't it make stamping a little easier to be provided with great inspiration? Thank you Karen, you're awesome!

This card also qualifies for:
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge / Birthdays
Crafty Creations / Spots & Dots

The black & white polka dotted 'rosette' was made using a border punch & a crimper. Same concept as the eyelet flowers I made a few days ago. The image is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Big Celebrations. I colored it with Copics & added white gel pen dots to the red ribbon. Oh, and on the right side of the ribbon is a yellow button that I glued a black & white polka dotted brad to. I did clip the back tines of the brad off first.

Have a happy Monday!
