FRAMED SNOWMAN # 2 / DB #5 & PTW...

Good morning! We have a brand new challenge for you over at the Dilly Beans Challenge blog, and another chance for you to pick up a free digi! Our challenge this week is to use "shades of red & black". I used Framed Snowman #2, colored him in shades of black & grey, colored the heart red & added some chunky glitter!

GIRL & HEART / Jelly Park Challenge & PTW...

Happy Wednesday! I had some fun coloring this cute little image from Jelly Park, called Girl & Heart! She is SO SWEET! As long as I was coloring I decided to check out Jelly Park's challenge for this week, which is "thankful", so I added the sentiment so I could play along with them! 

This paper is from Basic Grey's Oxford collection. Even though it's not Christmas paper, the colors seem kinda Christmas~y! My card stock colors here are Cherry Cobbler and Bashful Blue. The embossing folder is from my new stash, by QuickKutz.

YOU'RE too kind / cqc #101...

Wow, it's Tuesday! How'd that happen? I LOVE the colors for the newest colourQ Challenge - YUMMY! I decided to use up some scraps of paper and ribbon for this little hap-hazard patchwork! I created a card on Saturday sorta along the same lines, so this is a variation on a theme.

We had a really crazy weekend, too. Alex & Maisie have been sick with fevers and today we took them to the doctor & they have an upper respiratory infection. Alex also has pharyngitis. His tonsils and lymph nodes were so swollen this morning, his throat was almost swollen shut! He sounded more like Darth Vader than Darth Vader! He's now had a couple doses of meds and is doing better... he even ate some dinner!

I also am entering this card in a couple challenges...

Spring is in the air!!! This image, Easter Tea, is my newest digi over at the Wax Fruit Company! Here I did a little digital paper piecing, since I'm not sure I own any coloring mediums that are pastel - lol!

I love simple sketches like this week's Papertake Weekly challenge, for bigger images. My card base is 5x5. I also played along with a few other challenges for this one:

LADYBUG POPPY PARADE / WFCo New Release, CPS #205, PTE and WMSSC #43...

I have a new digi out today over at the Wax Fruit Company, called Ladybug Poppy Parade! I love the thought that ladybugs could have their own little parade!

It's actually a mini set, containing the image and 2 sentiments...

I used October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper for the background & colored the digi with Copics. Th scallop is the big one from PTI, and that paper is from SU!. The sketch is from Card Positioning Systems.

BE MINE, VALENTINE / CPS # 201 & PTW...

I colored this image last week & hadn't gotten around to making a card with it yet. I used 2 of my new sets, Heart~y Petals and Sweetest Love, from the Wax Fruit Company, and added rhinestones to the flower centers.

The ribbon was from Wal-Mart (yay - I love gingham!) and the paper is retired I think from Stampin' Up! I colored the flowers with Copics.

MAISIE & OLIVIA / WFCo Release, PTW #52, CYP #42 & SSC...

Here's are two new stamp sets, Maisie & Olivia and Sweet & Sassy Sisters from the Wax Fruit Company! After talking to a friend until late last night, I thought "This is the closest thing I'll ever have to a sister"... and then I started hoping that Maisie can have a sister one day... if so I'll name her Olivia. Well, then I started drawing...

Maisie and Olivia are sorta 'updated' ragdoll sisters, I guess! I used the current Papertake Weekly sketch, and also themes from Stamp Something and Craft Your Passion for this card.

The challenge this week over at Papertake Weekly is 'anything goes'. This card also qualifies for a "new-to-me" challenge - Top Tip Tuesday to use metal! (Thanks LeAnne!)

The papers on this card were all digital, if you want to save money & space, using digital paper is a terrific solution! You can open the paper in a photo editing program or even Word & print out as much or little as you like!

WOOHOO - it's the LAST colourQ Challenge of the year!!!I loved these colors today - I picked them out special! I hope we have over 100 people play this week - wouldn't that be so awesome!!!

This card was made for Papertake Weekly's challenge... I was supposed to email it in to be included in the post today, but mis-read the deadline... I guess I'm just getting old - lol! I also used the Mojo sketch - so cute!

So, have you got big plans for New Year's? Jeff & the kids and I are escaping to the lake for a few days... so it's probably going to be pretty quiet around here.... EXCEPT for ADFD release on Friday & Unscripted on Saturday! I'll be scheduling those!!! Whatever you do, be safe & have fun!
