"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

HAPPY SUMMER / RS #129...

Silly me, waiting so long to post this week's card for RetroSketches! It's a very simple sketch this week, and I decided to shrink it down a little. I used this cute set, Happy Summer from Lawn Fawn, and worked in a little picnic~y paper piecing!

Thanks for stopping by!

GOOD LUCK / CQC #232...

Ugh - don't you hate when you get behind on things? I have a few cards for you, stacked up since yesterday. The kids are in soccer - so we're at the field 4 nights a week now... Alex had sun on his first practice day and Maisie had mist! But - they both had fun! Games start next week... YAY!

This card is for this week's colourQ. I hand-cut the hearts for the clovers, drew on the stems using a fine tip marker and an oval die as a guide, and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Sophie's Sentiments.

Back in a few!

YOU MELT MY ❤ / CTD #278 & FMS #122...

Hello! Here is a little card I whipped up for this week's Color Throwdown [thanks ladies for the shout-out for last week's!!!] and also Freshly Made Sketches! I got some Lawn Fawn happy mail a couple days ago, isn't this set - Here's the Scoop adorable??? I stamped the little cones onto the larger tag (Tag Me - Reverse Confetti) and then stamped them again on the Pistachio and Pirouette. I used a black pen to go over the eyes and mouth.

While I love this card, maybe I went too heavy one the black/red/kraft? I reserve the right to a "do-over" - LOL!

Bye for now!

SAY CHEESE / USSIS #169...

Good morning, hope you're having an awesome Saturday so far! We've been lazing around watching Phineas & Ferb and Scooby Doo! As soon as I saw this week's Unscripted Sketch, I immediately thought of this set, Say Cheese by Lawn Fawn! How fun is this? I have always been a Polaroid fanatic, so I just HAD to have this set!!! I threw on a piece of polka dot washi tape behond the image to add a bit of interest!

Bye for now & hope you'll play along...

THANKS / CQC #136 & LSC #33...

Whew - finally posting today's colourQ Challenge card - told you I was behind! I just loved these happy spring colors.... SO FUN! I decided to go kinda C&S with this, I embossed the pocket after I die cut it and stamped it. The strips underneath are washi tape... LOVE THAT STUFF!!! I threw on some rhinestones for good measure - LOL!

The stamps and die cut are from WPlus9, called A Pocketful. What a fun set!

Make sure you check out the Royal Court's projects, too!

NEW IN TOWN? / PP #93 & LIM #65...

Good morning! I can't believe it's Wednesday already! I had the pleasure of inking up a Lawn Fawn set I got int he mail last week, Gnome Sweet Gnome! I love this set & I really love this flamingo! How fun!
I set the type for the sentiment, the font is Firefly, I think. I thought it would be fun to have an "old" and a "new" flamingo, I distressed the one on the right just a bit!

I played along with this week's Paper Players challenge, using ribbon, a square card and designer paper. I also played with the sketch from Less is More! Hope I don't get dinged for too many embellishments, but you know I just can't help myself - I HAVE to use buttons - LOL!

Bye for now & thank for stopping by!

YOU MAKE MY WORLD GO ROUND / CTD #189, FTL #187 & CP #162...

Good morning! I have a quick card today, using one of my new Lawn Fawn sets, Admit One. How cute is this set? I thought it would to fun to layer the stamps, using the colors from the Color Throwdown, and the sketches from Clean and Simple Stamping and Card Patterns.  I slipped each side of the white panel into the edge of an embossing folder and just embossed the edges.

I can't wait until the kids are a little older and we can take them to carnivals~ I always loved them growing up! The 2 we had in our area were the Chicken Festival (long time gone now) and the National Peanut Festival, which is still going strong! We'll probably take them to that one in November. I love the Kettle Corn and the roasted ears of corn. We don't usually ride anything except the ferris wheel, though, all the other rides are too jerky!

Here are the challenge badges....

Have an awesome day!
