MERRY PENGUINS / DB #54 & a Farewell...

Good morning... well actually it's kinda sad! Last week was officially the last week of iSpy Sketches. With changing schedules, the holidays and just the general busy~ness of life, it was necessary for it to close. I really enjoyed my time there with all those amazingly talented ladies and used one of my favorite CAS sketches, ISSC #14 for this "farewell" card!

We are also starting a traditional Christmas theme challenge over at Dilly Beans, and I used these ADORABLE Framed Penguins... so sweet!

GENTLE BABY / ADFD New Release & iSpy #44...

Hello! We have a new sketch for you today over at iSpy Sketches AND a new release over at A Day For Daisies, Snowball! I used this amazing image, Gentle Baby. The colors are a little non-traditional, I know - but this sweet baby just seemed so light, and I didn't want to diminish that, so I did some digital paper piecing with a kit by Meghan Mullens, called A Reason to Smile.

On another note, I have a weird "flu" like virus. Not quite the flu, but not fun either - LOL!

THE STOCKINGS WERE HUNG / iSpy #43 & TAWS #16...

Oops - forgot to post this yesterday.... the kiddies and I were having too much fun playing! I used this cute set, Fa-La-La from the Alley Way Stamps for my card. And a bunch of buttons - LOL!

This is for the new iSpy Sketch (LOVE IT!) and the new TAWS Be Inspired Challenge....

OH SNAP / ISSC #42 & 10CD #6...

Hello again! We started a new sketch challenge this week over at iSpy Sketches, I love how versatile it is! I decided to use this fun and funky set from The Alley Way Stamps called Framed. And when I saw the colors over at the 10 Minute Craft Dash, WOOHOO - they are perfect!

To get the embossing in the middle of the white layer, I sandwiched it in the embossing folder and clear plates and placed it directly under the roller of my Big Shot without the base plate thing~y (sorry I don't know the right terminology.) Then I wedged the base plate thing~y under it a little and rolled it just a few smidges... clear as mud, right? One of these days I'll figure out how to video that!

I found this paper - I think it's Basic Grey (did I mention I have TOOOOOOO much paper?!?) and thought it looked like great fall~ish paper... so I decided to use this adorable gobbler from It's Fall About You, by The Alley Way Stamps!

YAY ~ it's Friday! [doing a happy dance] Do you have big weekend plans? We have a special Rosary in the park tomorrow, and a birthday party. Hoping to tackle some of the 5 baskets of clothes that need folding, too!

Okay, HERE is this week's Dilly Beans Challenge card to use "Pink & Black", as well as the new iSpy Challenge - Free For All Friday, we can use any previous sketch!

I love this sketch - it gave me an excuse to use some washi tape - love it! I found a new place to buy washi -  Downtown Tape! Their selection is a little limited (but solid), but their prices are amazing! The image is called Framed Friday with Skull. I love the little skull and this awesome giant dot background!

MUMMY & PUMPKIN / DB #44 & ISSC #34...

Good morning! It's finally Friday... whew! I'm playing along with 2 challenges for this card, Dilly Beans Challenge to use "Autumn colors" and the incredible sketch from iSpy Sketches.

I've not used this cute image before, so I decided that Mummy & Pumpkin would be perfect for this challenge. In hindsight, I wish I had put a more brown-ish background behind the mummy... but I still think he's cute!

On another note, a sad note, please say a prayer for two families that I know. One lost their 13 year old to cancer and the other lost her son, daughter-in-law and grandbaby in a card accident. I am so grieved for them. Now go find your own loved ones and give them hugs and kisses, because life is fragile and fleeting...
