"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

HOME COOKED MEAL / SSSC #123...

You ever have one of those days where it TAKES all day to get a simple post finished? I started this one 12 hours ago & kept getting sidetracked - LOL!

This image is a new one from Wax Fruit Company called "Home Cooked Meal"... kinda a goofy little digi! Super fun to color, though! I used 2 heart doilies that I folded and tucked under the image.

This is a slight departure from my normal style. I usually like to use a dry embossed white background and lately a clean and simple style. This is pretty simple, but I thought for this image the gingham background would be more effective.

I got to play with the Sweet Sunday Sketch this week - YAY!!!

A couple other challenges I'm entering this card in:
Our Creative Corner - "your" style

Have a great night!

BAKING MUFFINS WITH MOM / OCC 11.13.10...

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS IMAGE over at A Day For Daisies yet?!? LOVE IT! I instantly knew I'd be needing my blue gingham paper for this one...

My colors for this card were inspired by the color challenge over at Our Creative Corner this week - they were perfect!

This image is called 'Baking Muffins with Mom'... which you can find here. It's so vintage~y sublime!!!

That's it for today, I think! Thanks so much for stopping by...

JUST BEACHY / CQC #27, OCC & TPE #61...

The new colors over at colourQ are masculine this week... not something I usually work with, but lots of fun when I do! When Jeff saw this card, he said "That's MINE, I want that card for my birthday..." So now I just have to try not to misplace it between now & August ~ lol!

This card also worked for a couple other challenges, not just colourQ. Our Creative Corner wanted buttons (think I used enough?) and the Pink Elephant was all about nature...

This is a retired Stampin' Up! set called Just Beachy from 2009's Occasions Mini catty. Jeff loves the beach & the idea of surfing (he's never had the pleasure - but it's his dream) so when this set came out he insisted I buy it! We live about 90 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico - so I know when the kids are older we'll be going more & I'll have a use for these when I scrapbook our beach adventures!

Have a gorgeous day!

A SPECIAL EGG GIRL / JUGS #25, PTW #37, PIO #10 & etc...

Well, I really never thought I'd like digital images, but I cretainly have been gravitating to them lately!

This card fulfilled a TON of challenges, probably more than I've ever managed on a single card. I do have my own rules for that, though... only '1' sketch & color challenge per card! I played along witht he cool Papertake Weekly sketch and the wonderfully 'spring-y' colors from Just us Girls.

Here are all the challenges:
Just Us Girls - Color Challenge
Stamp Something - Distressed
The Shabby Tea Room - Spring Inspired w/ Stitching
Pile It On - Furry Friends
Our Creative Corner - Easter

This image is a digital stamp from Sassy Cheryl's isn't she CUTE!!! I love the vintage look! All the designer paper & ribbon is retired Stampin' Up! The button is Papertey Ink. I used Copics to color her, the edges of the image are distressed/ spinged with SU! inks Bashful Blue & Certainly Celery, the dry-embossed background is sponged with So Saffron. The card base is Soft Suede, But it looks darker since I distressed the edges. The tag is a die from SU!, as well.

Have a beautiful day!

MY BASKET OF EGGS / USSIS #47, TPE, C4C #29 & OCC...

Thinking Easter & spring... tomorrow is the official first day of spring... makes me want to go work in the garden to get it ready for tomato plants & cucumbers!

Today's card was late to get into the DT slideshow on Unscripted... Maisie has been having some rough evenings the last few nights - VERY fussy & crying until after 9! Not sure what's going on there....

If you have some time to stamp this week, please join us at Unscripted! Starting this week, we're doing away with random winners & handpicking our winners. We'll be offering prizes occasionally, as well as new badges for the winner and top 3!!! I can't wait! There were a few other challenges that had either a theme of Spring or Easter; The Pink Elephant, Crazy 4 Challenges & Our Creative Corner.

This little sweetie is from Pure Innocence, the artist is Heather Ellis! You've seen this cutie on my cards before - I'm addicted! I got this one from My Favorite Things... everytime they got it in stock it sold out before I could get one! A week or so ago I was up around 2 am with Maisie & checked my email to find they had this stamp back in stock - I ordered it immediately - SCORE!!!

Part of the Unscripted Sketch Challenge this week was to use a paint chip, so I dug around in my papers & found some that 'almost' match it - Girl Friday from Cosmo Cricket. The paint chip was from Wal-Mart (lol!), and the cardstock is Stampin' Up!, Bermuda Bay, Baja Blue & Blush Blossom. I paper-pieced her dress & the rest is colored with Copics.

Have a be-a-utiful Saturday!!!

SPARKLE-Y BABY / TECC #56 & OCC - Use a Tag...

I needed a baby card today & Taylor's sketch seemed to be a great layout for it! I had also noticed today's challenge from OCC was to use a tag... 2 birds, one stone.... gotta love it!

This cutie little giraffe is from a new Stampin' Up! set called Animal Crackers. I do love giraffes! The paper is my old stand by for baby boy cards...DCWV's Nana's Nursery Baby Boy stack. I also used my new Martha border punch again, it's my new fave!

See you tomorrow!

MAKE A WISH / TECC#51 & CT#25...

For this card I used the emboss resist technique, you can find the tutorial HERE on Splitcoaststampers.com, as well as 3 Stampin' Up! sets; She's All That, Petal Pizazz, and Crazy for Cupcakes. I really wish SU! still had She's All That in the catty!
Have a great day!
