Who's this? ... Oh, the girl from Wham! That's .. . alright. It stays on the same level, there's no light and shade .. it doesn't seem to quite take off. It's a very powerful chorus but it isn't very pretty, it doesn't swing. Could be a continental hit but I don't think it's what the UK wants to hear. Best of luck with it, though! (Phil Fearon, Record Mirror, March 3, 1984)
This lady was apparently booted out of Wham! but it obviously
hasn't affected her talent and confidence. I love the chorus and verse,
and I also love the middle. In fact, I love it all. May be a hit. (Limahl, Smash Hits, February 16, 1984)
Just like Carol Kenyon, Dee C. Lee is undoubtedly a great singer, but she stands a little lost
in the limelight. The self-penned "Selina Wow Wow" is an affectionate tribute to her sexy sister - a harmless, un-frantic exercise in funk. Dee C. Lee has a lovely voice and a vivacious personality. All she needs is some better material. (Maureen Rice, No 1, March 3, 1984)

China Crisis - Hanna Hanna (Virgin)
This is a very good song. And so it should be, with practically every
note and phrase shamelessly nicked from the Talking Heads. Hardly
original and almost certainly a hit. A real Hanna horror. (Maureen Rice, No 1, March 3, 1984)
I used to like this lot but I'm getting weary of their whimsical words and stare-at-the-wall-and-daydream melodies. The only really good thing about this is the noise that sounds like a stick being run up the ribs of a skeleton. Shame. (Dave Rimmer, Smash Hits, March 1, 1984)

This sounds like The Cure, the voice is really like Robert Smith. I'd never have guessed it was China Crisis. It's not bad at all, it's nice . . . weird. I really enjoyed listening to it. It's a bit flat, I was just beginning to get a bit bored when the middle eight came in which is quite melodic and picked it up. Hit potential - another grower. Fiction Factory - Ghost Of Love (CBS)
Expensively clothed and Packaged, but this is a single where absolutely nothing happens. Drearily it tries to pluck at some of ABC's old style, but misses by a cool mile. Looking at the Fiction Factory photo I reckon they've also been around a lot longer than they would want people to know about... (Robin Smith, Record Mirror, October 29, 1983)
That sounds quite nice - it's almost there. On first hearing that's got something about it. Didn't grab me totally, there's something missing but it may well be a grower. Sounds like early ABC . . . both this and Kajagoogoo, they've both got that type of production . . . the ABC Grand Production. I wouldn't be surprised if I heard it again and loved it. (Phil Fearon, Record Mirror, March 3, 1984)
I don't wish to come on like some old duffer spluttering away about mediocrity, but this really is distinctly dull. As with "(Feels Like) Heaven", what life it contains is in the chorus, but even that just sounds like ABC circa "Look Of Love". Tres vieux chapeau, dears. (Dave Rimmer, Smash Hits, March 1, 1984)
As soon as the first few bars are over, you know you've heard this somewhere before. I thought "(Feels Like) Heaven" was a great pop single - but not so great that I'd buy it again speeded up a bit with a different title. I have every faith that one day soon Fiction Factory will bring out something pure, pert and pretty. Meanwhile, this is not so much wholesome as wholesale .. . (Maureen Rice, No 1, March 3, 1984)
