Boardwalk Picture Frame
I found this idea at the Family Fun website and I thought it would go well with my son's pirate themed bedroom.
It's a picture frame made to look like a boardwalk on the ocean, made entirely from popsicle sticks!

What you will need:
-Picture frame ($2)
-Two colors of 1" (at least) ribbon ($2)
-hot glue or staple gun
-Spray paint
1. I got this ugly piece of garbage at a local thrift store...
I had a vision of it's true calling in life.
I had a vision of it's true calling in life.
2. I took all the nasty junk that was inside of it, including the glass, all out.
Using a can of white spray paint, I went over it with a single coat. I wanted to give it a fresh clean look, but I also wanted to keep some rustic character.
3. I added two colors of ribbon by hot gluing them to the back of the frame. I would recommend a staple gun, that's just not a luxury I have yet :)
That's it! Pretty simple.
