Rose Valentine's Day Cards

Hello all! This is my second batch of Valentine's Day card that I will send out soon.
The patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's U+Me paper pad. The sentiment stamp was from the Hero Arts V-day mini messages and was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black. That stamp set was a gift from the amazingly talented Ilda Dias. You can check out her blog HERE.
Now let's get down to the REAL reason for this post...THAT ROSE!! I can't believe how real looking the layered stamps from Crafty Meraki Rose Garden turned out! For the flower, I used Scrapbook.com Rose inks #1-4. For the leaf, I used Scrapbook.com inks in Pear, Olive, and Pine. Some of the layers I did stamp twice for better coverage, so using a stamp platform of some kind is a must with these type of stamps. Seeing each layer add more and more dimension was amazing! I didn't want to waste any part of what I stamped, so I used my precision scissors to cut along the outer edge of the leaf, placed the top of the scalloped heart die under the leaf and proceeded to center the rose within the middle fo the die and die cut it with my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. That was adhered with foam tape to the card. I didn't add any additional embellishments because I feel that rose speaks volumes and didn't want to take any attention away from it.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Dollar Tree Sticker Valentine's Day Cards

I created this group of Valentine's Day cards with the specific purpose to use baeutiful heart stickers that I found at Dollar Tree. I used up the whole sheet which was my goal!
The patterned paper was from The Paper Studio's U+Me paper pad. The ovals were die cut using Cottage Cutz nested stitched scallop oval and stitched oval dies. The stamped sentiment was from Oak Tree Stamps Believe set and the ink used was VersaFine Clair Nocturne
The only embellishment used was white seam binding ribbon. The stickers were layered and had foam tape between the layers. I removed the back layer of foam tape so it would go through the mail a little easier. I used a Glue Dot to stick the heart onto the oval. Other adhesives used include ATGBearly Art precision glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~I {heart} U Card

Hello all! Valentine's Day is next month, so I am gearing up for that holiday. Today's project for the Trendy Twine blog is a card that features Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine, a unique twist of red and pink.
The patterned papers I used are from BoBunny's Love Letters 6x6 paper pad. It has an antique feel to it with creams instead of white. The sentiments are from APB You & Me stamp set. The inks I used were VersaFine Onyx Black and VersaFine Clair Tulip Red. The dies that I used were Elizabeth Craft Designs diagonal stitched fishtails die, and Cottage Cutz stitched circle dies. The fun part of this card was using Bearly Art precision glue and Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine to create the X and O on the banner and the circle and bow around the sentiment. The last addition to the card was a trio of Peppermint Stick Sequins for a bit of bling.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

The Cherry Cupcake Sampler includes Posy, Cherry Cupcake, and Berry Trendy Twine. Perfect for Valentine's Day crafting!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SheetLoad of Anniversary Cards

Good morning!  Today I am back with another SheetLoad of cards.  This time it is a set of anniversary cards.  These were created using the May 2022 SheetLoad sketch from Call Me Crafty Al.
The patterned paper and stickers used are from the Echo Park 12x12" Just Be You kit. I have made several cards from this kit, and you can see them HEREHEREHERE, and most recently, HERE.  That makes at least 33 cards from that kit!!
The card above uses a sticker and the one below is a die cut heart from those papers.  Adhesives used were ATG, fun foam, and Bearly Art precision glue.  The sentiment was stamped with Scrapbook.com Midnight Blue ink with a stamp from My Sentiments Exactly, Anniversary Innies & Outies set.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Wedding Card in Greens

Hello all!  We are in the first week of spring and I cannot wait to see things start to green up soon!  Green is the color of the month, with us featuring Twisted Lime Trendy Twine.  For today's project for the Trendy Twine blog, I made a wedding card in greens and grays which was definitely a first for me, but I am happy with how it turned out!
First of all, I needed to make the heart out of Twisted Lime Trendy Twine.  I cut 3 lengths of the twine and saturated it with fabric starch, shaped the heart how I wanted it and let it completely dry.  The background of the card was created with DCWV Happy Day papers and GMD Triple Layer Background dies, glued together with Bearly Art precision tip glue.  The Trendy Twine heart was glued down next, then the stamped panel was popped up with foam tape.  To create the stamped panel, I used retired Raisin Boat stamp sets called Springtime Love and True Love with Scrapbook.com inks in Charcoal and Succulent and cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut.  The wedding rings were punched out of silver metallic paper using a 1/2" punch and then centered that within a 3/4" punch and they were simply glued on the sentiment panel.  To add a bit of sparkle, I glued a trio of Twisted Lime Sequins to the background.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

You can also find Twisted Lime in the Going Green Sampler.  Samplers are a great way to add to your Trendy Twine collection. Each color in the set is ten yards in length and is wound on a wooden clothespin for easy use and storage.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Glitzy Love Tag

Good morning!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with one more Valentine's Day project.  This time I created a glitzy love tag.
The shape of the new Chunky Tag-Its has so much character!  I used a pink one for this project.  On the top 2/3 of the tag, I used the You & Me stamp set with VersaFine Clair Charming Pink ink to add the sentiments and images.  Two types of washi tape added diagonally to the bottom added more color and visual interest.  To embellish, I die cut a small heart out of gold faux leather and glued it to the washi tape.  I also added gold foil enamel dots and a bow of Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine to the stamped area.  Of course, you can't have a tag without Trendy Twine at the top!  For that, I used more Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine and tied it off with a knot of Totally Black Trendy Twine.
Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

You can also find Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine in the Berry Pink Sampler.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Growing In Unity Day 5

It is my final day of Growing in Unity!  From Monday through Friday I posted a new creation daily that featured stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  Be sure to stop by and comment each day because there will be 2 random winners from my blog comments who will each win a $20 gift credit to Unity!

On to project #5...

I started by stamping the Ruler Background stamp set with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink onto various scrap carstocks that coordinated with the background paper.  I trimmed the stamped papers and arranged them in a way I liked onto the background, glueing them in place with Bearly Art Precision Glue. To add visual interest by the sentiment, I wrapped In The Navy and Stormy Trendy Twine next to it.  The final embellishment was a trio of enamel dots.

As I mentioned earlier, be sure to leave a comment and stop by all week to increase your chances at winning those Unity gift certificates!  I will be announcing the winners of those next week.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Valentine's Day Card

Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day!  This morning my 3 year old daughter asked me to make her a Valentine's Day card.  I had given all the kids a small gift this morning, but apparantly she appreciates my cards more than I realized 😄.  Here is the result of that request...

Background paper is from Teresa Collins' Gold Glam 6x6 paper pad (a gift from Kendra...Thank you!!)  I added a die cut heart, then used MFT's All About You stamp set and die for the sentiment.  The stamping was done with VersaMark and heat embossed with gold.  The finishing touch was a trio of GMD New Years Sparkle enamel dots.  Adhesives used were ATG, Bearly Art precision glue, and foam tape.
I'm happy to report that my daughter loved her card!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Entering this card in the MFT WSC #580.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Love You Tag

Good morning!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with a mixed media tag that features our lime twine twists, Limeade and Totally Limeade.  It was a fun project to alter and add things to!

The back layer is a Sky Large Tag-it which had a trimmed down Pink Large Tag-It popped up with foam tape on top of it.  I took 1/4" off both sides of the pink tag and stamped the sentiment from APB Friendship stamp set in VersaFine Morning Mist ink before adhering it.  Next, I cut a piece of patterned paper, tore the top edge, and glued it to the pink tag.  Along each side of the pink tag, I adhered two lines of Limeade Trendy Twine with Bearly Art precision glue.  At the top of the tag, I added a Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dot, looped Limeade Trendy Twine through and added a bow of Totally Limeade Trendy Twine.  For extra fun, I glued Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems in the shape of a heart on the patterned paper and also added a trio of them around the sentiment.  The final addition was crinkle seam binding at the bottom of the tag.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

If you don't need full spools of the lime twines, you can grab the Limeade Sampler!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Valentine's Milk Carton

Good morning! I'm on the Trendy Twine blog today with a fun treat packaging idea for Valentine's Day.  It is a skinny milk carton box that holds a mini M&M container.  Fun, right?!  It features Pink Midnight Trendy Twine.
I started by creating my own patterned paper with pink cardstock and using the entire APB You & Me stamp set.  I used my stamp platform so once the stamps were arranged, I simply shifted my paper over to reink and stamp again.  Easy peasy!  I love how the stamped images continue from one panel to the next.  I followed a tutorial from The Paper Pixie to assemble the carton.  It fit the 1.08 oz. tubes perfectly!  Before gluing the pink paper onto the carton, I adhered many Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems everywhere.  Pink and sparkles...yes, please!
I wrapped Pink Midnight Trendy Twine around the lower part of the box three times, and added a Petite Kraft Metal Rim Tag that had been stamped with the "To:'' from the APB Merry & Bright stamp set.  To close the top of the carton, I simply added a sweet Mini Wooden Clothespin that I had wrapped with a double bow of Pink Midnight Trendy Twine.  Valentine's Day treat complete!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
APB You & Me stamp set (Only $3.95 on sale!)
APB Merry & Bright stamp set (Only $7.50 on sale!)

P.S. Head over to the Annie's Paper Boutique store and check out the stamp sets.  They are ALL on sale, ranging from $0.75 to $13.50.  I know you'll find some that you'll love!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Sending Hugs Card

Hello all!  Today I am back with a bonus post for Trendy Twine!  I have my regularly scheduled projects, but I decided to post this one as well for just a bit more inspiration for Valentine's Day...or just because.
You know you love Trendy Twine when your brain automatically thinks about twists that would match patterned paper you are using!  That is what spurred this creation.  Patterned papers are from The Paper Studio Boho Vibes paper pad, which matched Strawberry Cupcake and Tickled With Teal Trendy Twines perfectly.  The stamps I used were from Amazon and were stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  The large sentiment was heat embossed with clear powder.  I die cut around that with a CC stitched oval die and matted that with a GMD Crochet Lace Oval die cut.  A trio of matte enamel dots finished off the card.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~SheetLoad of Valentine's Day Cards

Hello and welcome to my first post of 2022!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with a SheetLoad of fun Valentine's Day cards.  I send these out every year, so I wanted to get a head start on them and this month's spotlight of Pink Licorice Trendy Twine was perfect for that project!
I started with the January SheetLoad sketch from Call Me Crafty Al and made it my own!  Patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's Best Day Ever paper pad.  The pink cardstock layer was embossed with a Sizzix Phrases-I Love You folder.  I did have to lightly spritz the pink with water before embossing to make it so the paper didn't carck much with embossing.
Now let's talk about the focal point on the cards.  There is a LOT going on there!  I started with a White Large Tag-It and stamped a sentiment from the APB You've Got Mail stamp set in SB.com Candy Shop Pink ink.  You want to know all about that heart, right?!  I cut 2 strands of Pink Licorice Trendy Twine and one strand of Totally Pink Trendy Twine at 8.5" long, saturated them with fabric starch and shaped them into the heart.  I let them dry fully on my glass craft mat and then trimmed the ends as needed and glued them to the Tag-Its with Bearly Art precision glue.  At the top of the tags are Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dots and a bow of either Pink Licorice Trendy Twine or Totally Pink Trendy Twine.  The finishing touches were Raspberry Cupcake sequins.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
You can also purchase a Pink Licorice Sampler if you like smaller amounts of Trendy Twine!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
