Happy Birthday Lesley!

Hello all! Today is a special day...Lesley's birthday! Lesley is the owner of Annie's Paper Boutique. Of course, I couldn't let this day go by without a special birthday post for the Trendy Twine blog. Here is the card I sent off to Lesley.

This year, I went with a fall theme because I loved those sweet pumpkin images on the papers from Echo Park's Sweater Weather 6x6 paper pad. I used circle dies to cut layers for the focal point, then used a precision glue press to adhere Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine around the circle and also added a bow of the same twine at the bottom of the circle.

The sentiment banner on the front features a sentiment from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set, which was stamped with SB.com Dark Chocolate ink. I used brads to secure the banner to the card.

I also decorated the inside of the card with scraps from the papers I used on the front. The inside sentiment is from the APB Smile stamp set.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Fall Coffee Card

Hello all! Today I have a cozy fall coffee themed card for the Trendy Twine blog. As the temperatures drop, warm drinks make me smile! I hope this card makes you smile too!

All the patterned papers you see are from DCWV's Fall Gathering stack. The focal point of the coffee cup was die cut with Coffee Break Honey Cuts and the stamped pumpkin was stamped in black ink from APB Hello Fall stamp set. It was popped up with foam tape. The leaves at the bottom were also stamped using the APB Hello Fall stamp set...which happens to be on sale for ONLY $3 right now! Grab it fast! At the bottom of the focal point, I also stamped a sentiment in black from the APB Need Coffee stamp set. To finish off this lovely fall card, my young daughter wanted to braid three strands of Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine together to add more texture and to tie all of the colors together. Didn't she do a great job on that? Adhesives used on the card include ATG, precision glue press, and foam tape.

SheetLoad of Masculine Birthday Cards

Hello all! I am back to share a sheetload of masculine birthday cards that I created last year, but never got around to sharing! They are 5x7 size.

I used the July 2024 SheetLoad of Cards sketch. Patterned papers were from The Paper Studio's Joyfall Gathering paper pad.

The focal point was die cut with Pink Fresh Studio Fancy Label Frames and my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. One card was for an uncle who turned 95, and the others were stamped with a sentiment from the My Craft Spot Chalkboard Sentiments stamp set and Scrapbook.com Dark Chocolate ink. I colored the sentiment with Sprectrum Noir markers (GY4, AB2, BO4). Adhesives used include ATG and Bearly Art Precision glue.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello all and Happy Thanksgiving! I wanted to share a card today to let you all know how thankful I am for each and every one of you who read this blog and the Trendy Twine blog. It features the versatile Totally Kraft Trendy Twine from Annie's Paper Boutique.

I started with patterned papers from DCWV's Farmstead Harvest 6x6 paper stack. Totally Kraft Trendy Twine was wrapped around the gold panel in two areas and I also glued a bow of Totally Kraft Trendy Twine in the lower right corner. The stamped panel was created with a sentiment from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and VersaFine Clair Nocturne and leaves from the Raisin Boat Arboretum Leaves stamp set and the following Scrapbook.com inks: Camel, Succulent, Daffodil. Orange Spice, and Cinnamon. That panel was then adhered to the front with foam tape. The other adhesives used on this card were ATG and Bearly Art precision glue.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Fall Thank You Card

Hello all! I am posting on the Trendy Twine blog today with this fall thank you card. I love how elegant fall colors and leaves can be and that was my vision for this card.

The patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's Joyfall Gathering paper pack. Before adhering the decorative paper strip to the middle of the card, I wrapped Orange Truffle Trendy Twine around it several times, then tied the ends into a bow. For the maple leaf focal point, I used a Cuttlebug die and embossing folder combo, then distressed it with SB.com Leather ink. I wanted to make the leaf pop off the paper without occluding the view of the patterned papers, so I chose a patterned vellum, and die cut it with a GMD double sitched hexagon die. I also used that die set for the other hexagons on the card. The sentiment was stamped with SB.com Orange Cream ink using the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set. It was popped up with foam tape. Adhering a trio of Autumn Sequins with Bearly Art precision glue was the finshing touch.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Thankful Fall Tag

Hello all! I am posting on the Trendy Twine blog today with a fall tag that has a thankful theme to it. Every day is a good day to count our blessings, but especially with Thanksgiving right around the corner! This kind of tag is perfect to let friends, family, neighbors, or coworkers know you are thankful for them.

The base is a Mango Chunky Tag-It stamped all over with the image stamps from the APB Hello Fall planner stamp set. The inks I used are from Scrapbook.com and the colors are Leather, Cardinal Red, Orange Spice, and Succulent. Once the tag was stamped all over, I added a Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Page Dot to the top of the tag. Since the opening at the top of the Chunky Tag-Its is not round, there were little gaps on each side of the Trendy Page Dot, which is exactly what I wanted for the technique I planned for the Trendy Twine. I Cut 3 lengths of Orange Truffle Trendy Twine 12" long and fed each one halfway through the three openings at the top of the tag. I then proceeded to braid the twine, which was double stranded, and tied a knot in the end when I was finished. The sentiment tag was created by stamping an image from the APB Hello Fall planner stamp set in Cardinal Red ink and a sentiment from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set in Leather ink. I ink blended the edges of it with Camel ink to lend to the fall theme. A staple secured it to the tag. For a finishing touch, a trio of Autumn Sequins were glued in place with Bearly Art precision glue.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Thankful For You

Hello all and Happy Thanksgiving! I am on the Trendy Twine blog today and wanted to share how thankful I am for each and every one of you with this Thanksgiving card. 

I started by making the card base with panels of patterned paper from DCWV's Fall Gathering stack.  Don't you just love all the delicious foods on that bottom paper? It makes me think of a big Thanksgiving meal! Where the two papers meet, I wrapped Creamy Pumpkin Trendy Twine three times and also added a bow. The focal point was a die cut Pink Fresh fancy label with a pumpkin I fussy cut out of the patterned paper glued to it. I stamped all of the fun images from the Hello Fall planner stamp set onto more of the patterned papers and fussy cut those out as well to adhere around the pumpkin. Autumn Sequins added a bit of shine to the card and the final touch was a sentiment from the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set. Tag Tuesday~Happy Fall Treat

Hello all, and welcome to another Tag Tuesday! I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with this tag adorned fall treat. The focal point is the adorable (and also on a crazy good sale!) Happy Fall Pumpkins Print & Punch Tag. It is a ready to print digital file that you can use over and over again for as many tags you want to create!

Once the Happy Fall Pumpkins Print & Punch Tag was printed and cut out, I mounted it with Bearly Art precision glue onto a Cottage Cutz scallop circle die cut and adhered it to the front of a Leaf Green Treat Packet with Scotch foam tape.

To the top flap of the Leaf Green Treat Packet, I wrapped and knotted one length of Champagne Chevron ribbon from the Chevron Ribbon Sampler and two lengths of Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine. To add a couple Blue Moon Beads charms, to the knot, I used a Antique Bronze Bulb Safety Pin. The top flap is secured shut simply by slipping it behind the orange circle die cut. The inside bag was filled with candy corn and pumpkins for a fun fall treat!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Treats To Gobble!

Hello all! Fall is in the air, and with it, a feeling of thankfulness! I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with this adorable Thanksgiving treat that would be perfect for favors at a meal, for coworkers, or just a special treat for friends or neighbors.  It features Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine.

I first filled a Medium Clear Pillow Box with s'mores flavored M&M's...yum! The belly band was created with 6" length of patterned paper from DCWV's Sweater Weather stack. I decorated a Lemon Tag-It with a Hello Fall Trendy Page Dot, a stamped sentiment from the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set, Autumn Sequins, and a turkey I fussy cut from DCWV's Fall Gathering stack.  I then braided 3 strands of Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine, wrapped it around the belly band, feeding it through the tag, and tying it in a bow. A "thankful" charm added just a little more visual interest to the bow. Adhesives used include double sided tape, foam tape, and mini Glue Dots.

Tag Tuesday~Scarecrow Tag

Hello all! For the remainder of the year, I am going to be on the Trendy Twine blog featuring quick tag ideas using products from Annie's Paper Boutique.  This week, I am sharing a simple fall tag with a sweet scarecrow on it.

I started with a Kraft Chunky Tag-It and stamped a sentiment from the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set using Twilight VersaFine Clair ink.  I used a Round Scarecrow No. 2 Vintage Inspired Tag as the focal point.  It was matted with navy blue paper that was die cut with a GMD x-stitched circle die.  Isn't that scarecrow adorable?!  It comes with lovely inked edges that add such a sweet vintage feel to it.  I popped it up with foam tape onto the tag.  At the top of the tag, I added Dark Citrus Trendy Twine and a bow of Totally Navy Trendy Twine, then finished it off with Blue Berry sequins and Chocolate Truffle sequins adhered with Bearly Art precision tip glue.  Didn't it turn out cute?

Trendy Bakers Twine~Guest Designer Thanksgiving Card

Hello all! Happy Thanksgiving! I have a special guest who helped create today's project...my 4 year old daughter!  She absolutely LOVES all of the Annie's Paper Boutique image stamps and wanted to make a card for her Grandma using the Hello Fall Planner Stamps.  Of course I obliged!

The stamps from Hello Fall set were stamped with VersaFine Clair inks in Charming Pink, Warm Breeze, Twilight, and Green Oasis.  The stamped panel was then wrapped with Twisted Teal and Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twines.  She wanted curly twine as well, so I saturated some with spray starch, wrapped them around a pen, and let them air dry.  Once dry, I tied them around the straight pieces of Trendy Twine.

The patterned paper is from LilyBee Designs Victoria Park 6x6 paper pad.  Navy blue cardstock worked well to mat layers with.  The finishing touch was bling, of course!  Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems are easily adhered with Bearly Art Precision Tip glue.  That completed our simple card!
