Happy Birthday Lesley!

Hello all! Today is a special day...Lesley's birthday! Lesley is the owner of Annie's Paper Boutique. Of course, I couldn't let this day go by without a special birthday post for the Trendy Twine blog. Here is the card I sent off to Lesley.
This year, I went with a fall theme because I loved those sweet pumpkin images on the papers from Echo Park's Sweater Weather 6x6 paper pad. I used circle dies to cut layers for the focal point, then used a precision glue press to adhere Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine around the circle and also added a bow of the same twine at the bottom of the circle.
The sentiment banner on the front features a sentiment from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set, which was stamped with SB.com Dark Chocolate ink. I used brads to secure the banner to the card.
I also decorated the inside of the card with scraps from the papers I used on the front. The inside sentiment is from the APB Smile stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Now, hop on over to the Trendy Twine blog to wish Lesley a "Happy Birthday"!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Pooh Pillow Box

Hello all! I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with this sweet Christmas pillow box treat. It features Frosted Cranberry Trendy Twine, which is a festive blend of red and icy blue.
I started with a clear Medium Pillow Box and wrapped Echo Park Winnie The Pooh Christmas paper around it, securing it with double sided tape. I then wrapped Frosted Cranberry Trendy Twine around both sides of the Pooh patterned paper. The sentiment was created with a stamp from the APB Let It Snow stamp set, VersaMark ink, and Ranger Holographic embossing powder. Once that was glued to the box, I embellished with sequins from the Jolly Shaker Medley and a bow of Frosted Cranberry Trendy Twine. I added three mini Twix candy bars to the inside of the pillow box. It is the perfect size for stocking stuffers, or coworker gifts!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Sunshine Card

Hello all! I am sharing a project for the Trendy Twine blog that features Orangesicle Trendy Twine. It is a card that really portrays lots of summer sunshine!
All the patterned papers and sentiment panel were from Echo Park's My Favorite Summer 6x6" paper pad. The sun was die cut with the Pink & Main Card Cut Essentials Dies Set 2 once I glued it in the corner of the card, I cut lengths of Orangesicle Trendy Twine for sun rays and adhered them with Bearly Art precision glue. The sentiment panel was popped up with foam tape. I thought the area to the left of the sentiment looked a little empty, so I added a bit of Orange Chevron Ribbon there. A trio of Autumn Sequins added a bit of sparkle to finish off the card.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

You can also find Orangesicle in the Orange Sampler and in the Original Sampler. Each
color is ten yards in length and comes on a wooden clothespin for easy use and storage.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Birthday Bee Card

Hello all! I am back with a project for the Trendy Twine blog that features Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine. I love the versatility of that twist! It works amazing for masculine projects, spring projects, and of course, bee themed projects, which is what I am sharing today.
On this card, I used several patterned papers from Echo Park's Bee Happy 6x6" paper pad. I wrapped Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine around both sides of the center strip of patterned paper two times to create a border. The GMD double stitched hexagon die cuts popped up with foam tape made a perfect landing pad for little bumblebees that I punched out of the patterned paper! I then created bee trails by using my precision glue press and just freehanding curly lines, then adding more Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine to those glue lines. For the sentiment strip, I used the Pink and Main Sweet stamp set with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and Scrapbook.com Daffodil ink. That also was popped up at an angle with the same angle as the hexagon sides in the middle of the card. I also added a trio of honey colored gems to finish everything off.
Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine

The Lemon Midnight Sampler is perfect if you don't need a full spool. Each color is ten yards in length and comes on a wooden clothespin for easy use and storage.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Happy Easter!

Hello all and happy Easter! I am posting for the Trendy Twine blog today with this adorable Easter gable box. It features Posy Trendy Twine, our twine of the month.
I started with a Small Gable Box and covered both sides with patterned paper. I then created the large tag for the front of the box using more patterned papers, image, and sentiment from Echo Park Paper's It's Easter Time 6x6" pad. I created a pom pom out of Posy Trendy Twine for the bunny tail and stapled Pink Chevron Ribbon to the top. I glued the lower portion of the tag to the front of the Small Gable Box. The final touch was a trio of Cotton Candy Sequins adhered with mini glue dots.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

If you don't need a full spool, you can find Posy in the Cotton Candy Sampler PLUS Cotton Candy and Sky Trendy Twines. Each twist is ten yards in length and comes on a wooden clothespin.

The patterned papers and ephemera are from Echo Park's It's Easter Time collection. They matched the Posy Trendy Twine so well! I love pastel colors for springtime! I wrapped Posy Trendy Twine three times along each side of the green center panel of paper before adhering it to the card base. For the focal point, I used a Sky Chunky Tag-It with more Posy Trendy Twine laced through the top. The tag was popped up with foam tape to the card. Lastly, I used mini Glue Dots squares to add Cotton Candy Sequins for some subtle shine.

Trendy Bakers Twine~He Is Risen Card

Hello all! It is time for another post for the Trendy Twine blog! We have been getting some sunny days lately, and this card captures some of that cheerfulness. The featured Trendy Twine of the month on this card is Bubblegum Taffy.
To begin with, I adhered patterned papers from Echo Park's Have Faith collection onto a kraft cardstock mat. I then used a small hole punch to add 2 holes in each corner to weave Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine through. I thought it created a fun border and great visual interest. For the focal point, I used an oval die with white cardstock and a scalloped oval die with vellum to create the background. I then die cut the Cottage Cutz He Is Risen die cross and words with navy blue cardstock and glued them to the vellum with Bearly Art glue. The top layer of the cross was cut from white glitter cardstock and also glued ontp the cross base. I used foam tape to pop up the oval onto the card front. For extra shimmer, I ran around the outer edge of the scalloped circle with Clear Glitter Wink of Stella, then added Cotton Candy Sequins in the four corners of the card with Glue Dots glue squares

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

If you don't need a full spool, you can find Bubblegum Taffy in our Aqua Sampler  PLUS Aqua Licorice, Aqua Midnight, and Twisted Gumball. Each twist is ten yards in length and comes on a wooden clothespin.

Batch of Boy Cards

Hello all! Today I am sharing a batch of boy cards that I recently created. I used focal points and scraps of paper from the Echo Park All Boy 6x6 paper pad. You can see another group of cards I created with those papers HERE.
This first card has a sports theme to it. Embellishments include Park Lane 3mm gold gems and Frosted Cranberry Trendy Twine. The tan banner was popped up with foam tape for extra dimension.
This next card is a neutral theme and is all adhered on one level with ATG for easy mailing. A trio of GMD Strawberry Shortcake enamel dots were the only embellishment I added to it.
The next two cards have a bit more color and paper pieces !
I thought this dinosaur themed card was adorable! Once again, this card is all adhered with ATG, for no extra dimension. I did use Bearly Art Precision glue to add a trio of Twisted Lime sequins onto the front.
Last of all is this super hero themed card. I did pop up this focal point with foam tape and glued Merry sequins with Bearly Art precision glue to finish it off. Now I have several boy cards in my stash and I was able to use up some scraps!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Lucky Day Card

Hello all! Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with a new project that features Limeade Trendy Twine!  It is a twist of bright lime and white, making it perfect for St. Patty's Day projects. Today I am sharing a monochromatic card with that theme.
I started with papers from the Echo Park Happy St. Patrick's Day 6x6 paper pad and layered them with borders of Limeade Trendy TwineBearly Art Precision glue is the perfect glue to lay a thin line for twine applications such as the one on this card! I also used a bit more Limeade Trendy Twine to tie a knot in the lower right corner of the card. For the focal point, I simply used a sentiment square from the same paper pad, used foam tape behind it, then matted it with a white 3" paper doily to make it pop off the card. A trio of Bewitching Sequins gave a little shine to the card and matched the green theme perfectly!
Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

If you don't need a whole spool of Limeade, consider the Going Green Sampler! It includes 10 yards each of the following Trendy Twine colors: Limeade, Totally Limeade, Holly, and Twisted Lime.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
