You are My Sunshine

Greetings from ice-cold Croatia. It's been an ordeal here with so much ice. We've had snow, followed by rain, then more snow and rain. Our yard has layers of snow and ice on it. Our car looked like a cherry dipped in chocolate, except the chocolate is solid ice. It's actually very pretty, that is, if you don't go anywhere.

I'm sorry not to have been able to update my blog more often. It's not because of lack of interest, but more because other things have been taking up more of my precious and few free time. I am currently learning to navigate my way in the world of high school home schooling. I can't believe how many options there are out there. After I decide which to do, I have fill out scholarship applications, help my daughter prepare for the placement tests, figuring out the 4 year plan, so we don't miss any opportunities that will make college easier. Kudos to you if you home school multiple children. I'm only doing one and it seems it's already a lot of work. But I am looking forward to it!

Anyway, here's my card for today. It's one that I made a while ago, but it's something I wanted to see today, when it's cold and cloudy outside. The papers, washi tape (red lace) and stickers are all Webster's Pages.
Sunshine
The card base is part of a box that I found at 50% off at Hobby Lobby last summer. I added some Want2Scrap bling on the side, some lace, seam binding a small rose. I adhered the bike using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares.

Sending Love Dahlia

Happy Monday, friends! I've been busy traveling this past weekend. We got to visit some decades-old friends we don't get to see except every several years when we're in the US. It was a delightful, encouraging and definitely blessed weekend for me and my family. How about you? Did you do any crafting?

Today's card is something I put together with my limited supplies. When I packed my crafty travel kit, I knew I had to include my favorite Copic combos. I used them here. The main panel is Penny Black's Sweet Dahlia set. The card base is store bought.

The birdcage is by Webster's Pages. The sentiment is TCM's Stitched Sentiments. The butterfly is Pink Paislee. I inked the edges with Distress inks. I adhered all these pieces using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Here's the close up of the dahlia which, along with the word "Beautiful," was colored with Copics.

This card was inspired by this week's Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger. I'm still not very good at making collages because I want everything to be straight and symmetrical :). Have a great week!

Happy birthday, Michele!

I am so excited to be a part of today's hop to celebrate Michele's birthday. She is the owner of our favorite bling company, Want2Scrap, which offers so many lovely products to help us create beautiful things. I first met Michele a few years ago when I attended CHA for the first time. Stacey, owner of Spellbinders, introduced us and I have been blessed by her ever since. I had the privilege to see her again, though only briefly, at a recent Scrapbook Expo in GA.
Thank you, Michele, for your love, generosity and encouragement. I love working for and with you and the entire Want2Scrap team! I hope you have a wonderful birthday.

I have a simple card today to honor Michele. I have very limited supplies on hand due to our travels and whipped this baby up in no time. The card base is store-bought. The layered bird and frame are Webster's Pages. The sentiments are by SRM Stickers. And of course, the bling is by Want2Scrap.
Make-a-Wish
The ribbon is seam binding. I just love that color! And the Want2Scrap bling is just perfect to accentuate the sentiment.

Sending Smiles, an Invitation and Winner!

Hello, friends! Today's a happy day in the Brackett household because DH is on his way home from his business trip to the US. It is always sad when he leaves, but a heartwarming reunion for everybody when he returns. That's what you expect when you have a houseful of affectionate little girls who adore their Daddy. :) Not only will our family be complete, but he also brings us lots of goodies. For me, I know it'll include some of the new CHA releases that I've been dying to get my crafty hands on.

Today is also a happy day in this little blog of mine becauseI get to inform you about my Dream Team's FIRST ever blog hop. Mark your calendars for this Thursday, March 15, where you will see some serious eye candy and lots of giveaways, too. Feel free to share this badge to help us spread the word.
Here is my card for today using some of favorite products. The sentiment is from The Craft's Meow's Sent with Love set. It was stamped and die cut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3 dies and accessorized with Want2Scrap Nestaboard and Nestabling.

Many Thanks, Some Exciting news and a Giveaway!

I am thrilled to share my new exciting news with you today...First, I have been asked to join the Want2Scrap Design Team! If you've been a regular visitor to my blog, you know that I love their products. I have always loved pearls and bling, but used them sparingly because they're pretty pricey.

That is, until I discovered Want2Scrap because their bling is so reasonably priced, especially when they have the 99cent sale (which is going on now!). Another reason I love Want2Scrap is because they make the Nestabling and Nestaboard, bling and chipboard that coordinate with Spellbinders products! They're a perfect match and I'm a happy crafter that I get to work with both companies.Speaking of Spellbinders, have you seen all the newly released products yet? They are fabulous! They have also posted a little blurb about me on the site HERE.

Today's card then uses both of these companies' products.I used my Home Sweet Home and Sewing Elements dies (shipping at the end of February!), along with Labels 10. The frame is stamped from Layers of Color's Elegant Labels. The little heart pearl is by Want2Scrap, papers by Webster's Pages and sentiment by SRM stickers.
Many Thanks Fancies
I die cut and embossed the wings and dress forms, then inked with white craft just the embossed top part to make them stand out. I'm entering this to the Moxie Fab's Die Cutting and Embossing & Debossing Challenges.
Many Thanks Fancies details
