Botanical Rose Printable and Winner!

I have added a new item on my ETSY shop to help you create vintage shabby cards quickly and easily. It's a set of 4 collages with a botanical rose and sentiments. Here is the card set I made with these collage backgrounds. I made at least 6 sets to give as gifts and it took me no more than 2 hours to put them all together.

For these two, I simply inked the edges of the printables, adhered them to coordinating card bases. Then I adhered the lace on top, punched out butterfly with mini pearls and a big pearl in the center of the circle on the bottom.

For these cards, I inked the edges as well, then curled the top left corner before adhering to the card bases. I also added lace and punched out butterflies on these. The pearls are by Want2Scrap and I adhered all pieces with various Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L adhesives.

Here are the 4 card fronts on one page:

Watercolored Bird Love

Thank you all for joining in the OWH Memorial Day Blog Hop. I have a giveaway that I will end tomorrow night. I will announce the winner on Thursday's post.

Today's card is perfect for spring. The Penny Black Winter Perch bird was stamped with Versafine ink then watercolored. I also watercolored some yellow on the chevron background paper to match the other yellows on my card. The sentiment is from Penny Black's Gratitude set.
PB-With-Love
That little nest is something I've been busy making. I love their rustic feel, yet still evokes softness and delicateness. The pearls are by Want2Scrap. I'm entering this card to the following challenges: Viva LaVerve Sketch, The Pink Elephant, Addicted to Stamping, and Muse (inspired by the chevrons and color combo).

Lots of Love for Lauryn Blog Hop and Blog Candy

I am honored to take part in today's hop to show our love and prayers for a sweet little girl named Lauryn.
Isn't this little girl just precious? Let me introduce you....Lauryn was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 27, 2014. She is currently hospitalized in the DC area undergoing chemotherapy to fight this terrible disease. Lauryn is Linda Payne's granddaughter...many of you in the stamping community probably already know sweet Linda!

As news of Lauryn's illness spread via social media, many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help, so we have come up with a plan. We decided to have a Card Drive and would like to invite YOU to help by sending "happy mail" to Lauryn and her family.

Please create cards to share your love and encouragement for Lauryn and her family. Lauryn's parents are Josh and Elizabeth and she has two older siblings: Lily and Logan. We thank the Lord for this dear family and need to pray for them as they are seeking to glorify the Lord throughout this trial. If God moves you to give, I'm sure it will be a blessing to the Newsome family to receive your donation to help pay for the medical bills. There is a donate button on the right sidebar on the Lots of Love for Lauryn blog.

Here is my card with one of my favorite encouraging Bible verses.
Etsy-Card-2
I love it because it speaks of the faithfulness of God, whose love and care for us is never ending steadfast patient and unchanging. My prayers for Lauryn and her family is for physical healing; and also, that they will be drawn closer to this faithful God as they face this trial. He is faithful, He is good and He never disappoints.

A fabulous group of bloggers have joined in to promote this Card Drive. We would love for you to hop with us as numerous bloggers have blog candy and all you need to do is leave a comment. You can find the full list on the Lots of Love for Lauryn blog.

DIY Quick and Easy Watercolored Card Set (Free Download)

Hello, friends. I have something new today that I've been working on. If you follow my blog regularly, you  know how much I've been enjoying mixed media projects. One thing I like to do is watercolor the backgrounds. I have found that as much as I enjoy watercoloring, my papers don't always work well with this medium. I have to use the thick cardstock that tends to be a little costly. I also have to wait for my watercolored backgrounds to dry and often need to flatten them between pages of a heavy book.

I thought, why not make a digital watercolor background that I can simply print out in varieties of colors, so I can skip the tedious process of watercoloring. This is what I came up with. I printed these out on regular cardstock (Walmart's Georgia brand, more specifically). I simply trimmed them and matched them with my cardstocks.
Cards2
I then heat embossed Penny Black's Tweet, Tweet flower image, added the sentiments (from The Craft's Meow), bow and Want2Scrap bling. I mounted the front panel using SA by 3L foam squares.
Cards1
I made this set in less than 30 minutes. How would you like to make these yourself? They're perfect for holiday gifting. I have two of the colors as a free download for you. The first two cards above use these. Just click on the photo below to download:
http://bit.ly/1gc5PnZ
I have made 14 colors total. The other 12 are available for purchase on my ETSY store. I hope you will check them out. Included are these trendy colors: Orchid (the new Pantone 2014 Color of the Year), Corn, Dusty Rose, Emerald, Green, Gray, Honeysuckle, Kraft, Orange, Hot Pink, Red, Turquoise. The other colors I used on my cards above are the Red and Green.
Have a great, crafty weekend, friends!
