Destashing: 2 Cards, Similar Layout, Colors

As promised, I have more cards using the same Crate Paper scraps that I just have to get rid of. You can see the other cards HERE. Both use the same background paper and similar layouts. I used SRM Stickers doilies and some lovely Penny Black stamps.

For the first card, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the feathers. I then stamped in the inside with PB background stamps and inked the edges with the same ink. The little tag is from one of my new sets, Blooming Tags. If you have my Spellbinders' Home Sweet Home dies, the small tag stamps fit nicely inside one of the tag dies.

I took this photo in direct sunlight, so it's hard to see, but the tag has a stamped flower background in flight pink ink.

My second card uses the PB Floral Applique stamps. The sentiment is by SRM Stickers, which was cut with Spellbinders Classic Circle die.

The flower is colored with Copic markers. The pearls are by Want2Scrap.

I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine will be spent with lots of cleaning and, since we've been enjoying gorgeous spring weather, I'll probably end up hanging out with my girls outside. Sometimes, that means just reading outside. And maybe a long walk with Max, our spoiled dog. :)

Birthday Greetings

I have some non-holiday cards for you today, but they are related to Christmas. These two cards are part of a set that I'm giving away as a gift to a friend. It's great to mass produce cards that follow the same layout, but with different elements to make each one unique. It's also great to use up some supplies that I have hoarded for far too long :).

The papers, stickers and resin crown are by Melissa Frances. The sentiment is from The Craft's Meow's Stitched Sentiments Two, this month's free with $50 purchase.

The background was distressed and stitched on the edges. The flower is by Prima. And I tucked the seam binding underneath it.
BG-1
I'm busy preparing for our church's Women's Christmas party tomorrow. The ladies of our church made these lovely quilted pillow cases and Bible covers as party favors.  Aren't they beautiful? I had nothing to do with making these. I can only stitch straight. :) I was just in charge of wrapping them and making little tags.

Stay warm and enjoy the weekend, friends!

More Use-My-Stash projects

I have more projects to share with you today using my stash. I used my favorite Simple Stories paper stack for these cards. My first one uses a sentiment from Penny Black's Foliage Fancy stamp set.
Dehoard-proj4
This one uses a chipboard bird by Basic Grey. The sentiment is from Penny Black's Petal Party stamp set.
Dehoard-proj3
This card uses some die cuts using Spellbinders' Morrocan Accents and Motifs and The Craft's Meow's Love Dwells Here stamp set. The rosette is by American Crafts.

To all our American friends, we hope you all have a wonderful and safe thanksgiving weekend. It's an ordinary day here with school :(, but we'll celebrate with a special dinner that includes some treasured finds from the local markets (ribs and sweet potatoes).

Using up my stash

Here are some cards my girls and I made a few weeks ago to use up my stash. This first one was made by my daughter all by herself. I am pretty impressed. This looks so much better than the first cards I made. The papers are old October Afternoon. I can't remember what they're called. The sentiment is by Stampin' Up.
WCMD Card Gaby
These two are made by me and use the same October Afternoon papers and SRM Stickers sentiments.
SRM-Card4
I found this little dragonfly embellishment in my stash and I don't know where I got it from, but it seems perfect here :).

Have a great Wednesday!

More Girly Cards

I'm in the dehoarding mood lately. I have to get rid of old stuff before really enjoying the new products. It's a good thing because it forces me to use up what I have and/or move product along, which is necessary to do in my small crafty space.

I have two girly cards that use some Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe collection. This was one of my favorites last year and I really enjoyed using it on my cards. The first one uses a sentiment from TCM's Vintage Rides.

The stickers and little girl are from the CP collection. Want2Scrap bling and Twinery twine finish the card.

My second card uses some Cosmo Cricket papers Tea for Two which happen to coordinate with the stickers from CP's Emma's Shoppe. I used up all the patterned paper already so I had to improvise :).
Sugar
The scallop border is die cut using Spellbinders Edgeabilities dies.

I want to wish all my readers a happy Mother's day! I hope you Moms will be spoiled silly this weekend :). I esp want to wish my mom and MIL a happy mother's day. Both my hubby and I couldn't have asked for better women to call our moms! We wish we could celebrate this special weekend with them.
I know this sounds cliche, but for me being a wife and mom is the BEST job in the world! I don't deserve the precious family I have. I want to thank my wonderful husband for making it possible for me to be both a blessed wife and mom! God is good, even if I hadn't been one, but am thankful He sees fit to bless me this way! Enjoy your weekend!

Bright Mother's Day cards

I have been doing some more spring cleaning and de-hoarding my supplies. I have a small craft area in our bedroom and it feels good to get rid of stuff by making something from once loved products. It feels even better when I find stuff that hasn't been used. Almost 100% of my projects here on my blog use at least one thing I designed (stamps, dies, bling). I am, however, also a fan of other similar products, but just never get around to using them. If only there were more hours in a day! :)

Most of them were given to me as gifts (I have very generous friends and family :)). I hope to be able to use these neglected supplies and show my cards in future posts. I started yesterday with the beautiful Spring Bouquet stamp from Flourishes. For my card below, I used Papertrey Ink's Rosie Posie stamps. The sentiments is Waltzing Mouse's Blessed By You set. I love the sentiments in this set. The papers were my favorite papers last year, Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe, and these are the last remaining sheets from that collection. The pearls are by Want2Scrap. I'm entering this to Flourishes Lovely in Lace Challenge.
Blessed-by-your-Kindness
Here's CARD #2 that is super simple. It's perfect for the CAS-ual Friday challenge, which is being sponsored by The Craft's Meow. And the flowers are perfect for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge as well. I accented the flower with a border die cut using Spellbinders Edgeabilities dies. The sentiments is from The Craft's Meow's Mother and Father set.
