The Craft's Meow's Non-Release Festivities Catch-Up

Hello, friends! Thank you for your sweet comments on yesterday's post HERE and HERE. I have been blessed by your love and prayers. Thank you!

I have missed the last two days of The Craft's Meow's festivities, so here is my catch-up post. First of all, TCM is having a HUGE sale! From now through Sunday, April 21st, take 21% off of your entire order, including already low sale prices on retiring stamp sets, by entering the code April21 at checkout! If your order net of the discount exceeds $50, then place in your cart this month's free gift with purchase, Sweet Silhouettes! As always, orders of $65 or more receive free shipping within the US (discounted shipping for our International customers)

Today's theme is Masculine. I used my Sweet Silhouettes to make this birthday card. I distressed this quite a bit. I've been playing around with my Distress Inks as well. I'm still not good at it and prefer the "cleaner" distressing, if that makes sense :). I die cut the frame using Spellbinders Labels 10. I know lace and Want2Scrap pearls are girly, but I thought I roughen them up enough here to fit in a masculine card. I stapled the messy lace and colored the pearls black with Copic markers. What do you think?
SS-Masculine
My next card is for Tuesday's hop with the Card for a Child theme. I used TCM's Sweet Birthday on this. The papers are October Afternoon. I also used Spellbinders' Lacey Circle die, Copics and Twinery twine. The cake is adorned with Want2Scrap pearls.
TCM-Bday-Wishes2
This next one is for yesterday's Feminine/Mother's day theme. I used Beautiful Spring and Mother & Father stamp sets. The papers are Penny Black's Madison. I colored the butterfly with Copics. I also used some Want2Scrap bling on this card.

Finally, the NinaB Designs team is hopping right now. Check out HERE for more info and giveaway!
This is it for me today. Thank you for your visit and I hope you're all enjoying a beautiful spring day!

LOVE Cards

Hello, friends! I hope you are enjoying spring weather where you are. It seems to have missed us the last few days. We've received at least a foot of snow the last 48 hours and it's still snowing as I type this. My girls are on spring break. Before you feel bad for them...they would rather be at home when it's snowing than walking to school. I agree! :)

I have two cards for you today using one of my latest Penny Black stamps, Love Chapter. This set was one of my favorites from Layers of Color and it seems I'm not alone. I received so many inquiries about this set and am so glad to see it re-released. I used the big LOVE stamp and twill bow on both my cards.
PB-Love-Card
I also used my Spellbinder's Home Sweet Home dies (wings), which I die cut and embossed and used a stencil. The papers are Basic Grey True Love.
PB-Love-Card-det
My second card uses some scraps sitting on my desk. The papers are by My Little Shoebox.
PB-love
As you see, I put a brad, buttons, flowers and sprinkled Want2Scrap pearls to decorate my card. I curled one corner to add interest. This card took no more than 10 minutes to make.

The Craft's Meow's March Release Blog Hop

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's March Release Blog Hop. Thank you for joining us today. If you came from Mabelle's blog, then you're at the right spot. To see the full list, make sure you visit the TCM blog. I have 3 cards to show you today. I could share more, but will save the others for later posts. I had so much fun with this month's sets.

My first card uses my Take the Cake stamp set. This time I made a wedding card. I went CAS on this one, but not all the way. I had to sneak in some lace, buttons and pearls in there somewhere :). I stamped the cake layers in inks that coordinate with my Basic Grey True Love papers.
TCM-Cake2
For my second card, I went vintage shabby with the Sweet Silhouettes stamp set. Remember that you can get this set for FREE with $50 purchase. I distressed the edges of my papers and inked my Spellbinders Labels 10 die cut and stamped with the frame from the set. The papers are My Mind's Eye. The chipboard shape embellishment on the bottom are by Want2Scrap. This card would be perfect for Graduation, promotion, engagement, etc.
TCM-Silh2
My third card uses Karen's Birthday Pun set. I love the sentiments. The papers are again My Mind's Eye. I was going to go for a masculine card, but I just had to add that lace there. :) I did more distressing here and random stitching. I found this black hemp twine and used it for a bow.

Here are my new sets:
6 x 8, $24
Coordinates with Spellbinders Labels 10
4 x 4 - FREE with $50 Purchase

TCM Easter/Encouragement Blog Hop

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's March Blog Hop. Our theme this month is Easter and Encouragement. If you came from Lindsay's blog, then you're at the right spot. Please check the TCM blog for the complete list and so you don't miss the information about the stamp giveaway!

I have two cards for you today, one for Easter and another for Encouragement. The first one uses my No Greater Love set. As a Christian, Easter is our most celebrated holiday since it is the basis of our faith. HERE is my post from last year why it is also my favorite holiday.

I had fun making this "messy" tag using Distress Inks. I dabbed the pads on a smooth surface and wiped them off with my Want2Scrap tag. I then stamped the cross with Versafine ink.
TCM-Easter
I wasn't able to get the full image stamped so I fixed that problem by stamping the image again on a white piece of cardstock, inked the edges and glued that where the error was. It kind of adds to the vintage appeal. :) Both the corner scroll and sentiment are also from No Greater Love set. I added some more Want2Scrap bling on the crown and the side. I ruffled the ribbon and stitched it in place.
TCM-Easter-det
My second card uses In Tandem set. As you can see, I pretty much used the same layout as the one above. The papers are by My Little Shoebox. I inked all the edges and glued some flowers on the front of the bike.

Inspire and Thank You

Hi, friends. Today's card is using one of the new January release stamps, Crafty Shelf, which coordinates with a previously released set, Beautiful Shelf.

I first stamped the stitched border from Beautiful Shelf with Memento Toffee Crunch ink on kraft cardstock. I used the shelf as a small table on my card and and placed a vase of flowers on it. The "Inspire" sentiment is from Crafty Shelf. I paper pieced the shelf and colored the vase with Copics. The papers are by Basic Grey, the twine is from The Twinery.

Here are the other two butterfly cards that I shared on the SRM blog the other dayThe butterfly is from The Craft's Meow's Beautiful Spring. I colored it with Copic markers. The papers are Pink Paislee. The pearls are by Want2Scrap.The sentiment is from Sickers by the Dozen Thank You.

Hello card and a little exciting news!

I'm on the Want2Scrap blog today with a simple friendship card using The Craft's Meow's Stitched Sentiments stamp set. I also used Want2Scrap's Nestabling Labels Twenty Five Silver Rhinestone and my favorite Ribbon Rose 1".

I first cut a panel from the Basic Grey paper and adhered that to a red cardstock to show a bit on the sides. I then die cut the center with Spellbinders Labels 25.  I centered the panel on the card front without adhering it and stamped the sentiment in the center hole.
W2S-Feb13-1
I popped the card panel using foam dots and carefully placed the Nestabling Labels Twenty Five Silver Rhinestone around the frame. Finally, I adhered the Ribbon Rose 1" along the bottom.

To all our American friends, we hope you all have a wonderful and safe thanksgiving weekend. It's an ordinary day here with school :(, but we'll celebrate with a special dinner that includes some treasured finds from the local markets (ribs and sweet potatoes).

Rejoice!

Resurrection Sunday or Easter is the biggest holiday among Christians. Jesus's resurrection from the dead is the basis of our faith. Because Christ conquered death and sin, we have hope for eternal life. Because He is risen just as He said, He has provided for us a way to know God and opened the door to enjoy Him forever! And that is a BIG reason to REJOICE!

May this holiday bring you to the foot of the cross and see Christ for who He is - Almighty God who took the sin of the world upon Himself to bring salvation to an undeserving world. Be all glory and honor be to Him today and forever!

Here are some cards for the Layers of Color's Faith Art Friday to celebrate this beloved holiday.

Easter Blessings

Happy brithday Flower

Something exciting happened last night...my girls tasted their very first Peeps! A friend is visiting from America and brought us some. I'm personally not a big fan, and I think my girls are like me. My policy is always, if I'm going to waste calories, I'd rather waste them on chocolate :-).

Today's card uses a technique that I learned from the Hero Arts blog called Stamp Layering. This card took me more than the usual 30 minutes or less, but I really enjoyed the process. The layering was inspired by LilyPad's Sunday Video. You need to check it out.

I used Hero Arts' Big Flower Pattern clear set and Envelope Pattern stamp, which I stamped on the polka dot patterned paper. The sentiment is SRM WGYS Happy. The green papers are by October Afternoon. The kraft patterned papers are Basic Grey Kraft.

The brown layers are patterned papers, while the green layer is stamped then colored with Copic markers. I used my new favorite white cardstock, Neenah Classic Crest, for Copic coloring that my friend Asela sent me. It blends so well. I'm entering this to Copic Creations challenge to use our favorite paper for coloring.

The colors are inspired by the Play Date Cafe's challenge. And I'm also entering this to Scrapbook & Cards Today's current challenge.
