Hi all,
Yesterday I tried on my costumes for The Sound of Music. The nun's one was a bit scary when I looked in the mirror! I took Daisy with me and she was a bit afraid of the 20 odd nuns wondering around! It's the first dress rehearsal tonight, so it might be a long one.
Over at Creative Craft this fortnight, we are sponsored by the wonderful LOTV. Our theme is distressing. I love the distressed look, but sometimes get a bit carried away with it. I sanded some coredinations card and distressed that and the papers with my scissors. The papers are by papermania and Summertime Designs. The flowers were made using a scalloped punch and the cute image is by LOTV. I have been veering towards more monochromatic cards lately, and thought I would try brown - not a colour I often use on its own, but I quite like it. I did have to add a yellow flame and pink icing though - I couldn't bring myself to make them brown! Please check out the fab projects by the rest of the DT.
See you soon.

I should do this more often.
Well, it's Friday. Yippee! Daisy has been off school today as she has breathing problems again. She has it every time she is ill, even if it is just a cold. So, we went to the doctors and she has finally been diagnosed with asthma. Hubby has it, as do both Grandads, so it was quite likely, but it has taken at least a year and many illnesses and hospital visits before a diagnosis. I hope now that the inhalers she has been given will help and that she won't miss as much school with illness.
Anyway, I felt like playing with inks and stamps tonight, which I don't do enough of. The card is for hubby's best friend and family to say thank you for our Christmas present. The image is a stamp by Penny Black that I bought last year but haven't used yet. I have inked the papers with antique linen and other brown inks. I have also gone a bit mad with the sandpaper and did a bit of distressing.
I would like to enter this into :
Stampalot challenge - monochromatic
Crop stop - distressed, vintage or shabby chic
