Waffle Flower - Post Collage Valentine

A warm welcome to you and thank you for joining me on my blog today where I'm sharing a Valentine's card made just for the love of it that showcases the  Postage Collage products from Waffle Flower

To make this card I used the following products:-

I took an A2 panel of sturdy white cardstock and I used the Postage Collage Die to die cut it.

The Postage Collage Rose Stencil has three parts to it and starting with the first one I ink blended until all of the designs were complete.  I used the following Distress Inks for the blending:-

Spun Sugar
Victoria Velvet
Picked Raspberry
Festive Berries
Cracked Pistachio
Mowed Lawn

I then used the Postage Collage Love Stamp Set and Eiffel Tower Ink by MFT to stamp the postage themed images in various positions.

I backed this decorative panel with dimensional foam tape and then adhered that to a white panel that was hidden behind the main one.

I took some toning patterned cardstock from my stash, this one is Strawberry Frosting by Lawn Fawn and I trimmed it just a little shy of A2 and I adhered the decorative panel to it and then this was all glued to an A2 card base.

I'm always itching to embellish and add more but with this one I kept it beautifully simple and classic and added nothing more.  Card done!

Thanks for coming by to read today, it is very much appreciated and I'll be back very soon with something new.  Have a great day!

My Favorite Things - WSC577

Hi!   On my blog today I'm sharing an inspiration card for My Favorite Thing's newest Wednesday Sketch Challenge WSC577.  Please keep scrolling to see the actual sketch and more photos with details.

This challenge has such an easy sketch I'm sure you'll agree that your design ideas could be endless.

For my card I've used the Never Ending Love Background Stamp and I'm So In Love With You, Still stamp set that comes with coordinating die-namics and the sentiment is from Straight From The Heart.

An A2 panel of Princess Pink cardstock was made and over that I layered a smaller white panel with the background stamp of the hearts - this was applied on foam tape.   The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed in silver and also applied with foam tape.

I stamped the images and coloured them with Copic markers using the no-line method which always makes your images super soft and sweet in the absence of hard stamping lines.   The images were die cut and applied with yet more foam tape (yes .... I buy the jumbo rolls)!!!   Finally I embellished with a few tiny four point stars for some twinkle as the card is handled.

Copics used:-

Bears - E42, E41, W3, W2, W1, W0, W00
Cheeks - R00, R20, R21
Clothes -  B0000, B000, B00 and R21, R20, R00
Swings - E42, E51

Best of luck with your own challenge entry, thanks for visiting my blog today and don't forget to visit the MFT You Tube Channel for lots of inspiration and tutorials.

My Favorite Things - Release Day!!

The countdown is over and My Favorite Thing's January release is now available for purchase.   Perhaps you are planning on buying some of the items used in my card today?  I've made a shaker card using the Giant Love Die-namics together with the Love You Gnome Matter What stamp set which has coordinating die-namics of course!

Also used in this project is patterned paper from the Sweet Plaid 6 x 6 Paper Pad and Princess Pink cardstock.

The Giant Love die was used to create the background from Princess Pink cardstock and this was backed with acetate to form a shaker window, on the reverse I applied foam tape around the edges, sprinkled in my shaker contents then sealed the back using the Sweet Plaid paper and the whole shaker unit was glued to the card base.

I stamped the images I was using from Love You Gnome Matter What and coloured with Copic markers.

Gnome - V06, RV17, RV04
Nose - E04, E11, E21
Beard - W3, W1
Legs, Boots, Gloves - E44, E43, E42

I embellished with a white gel pen then die cut and applied with foam tape.   The sentiments were stamped with Poppin' Pink ink and applied with foam tape and with that, this fun little shaker card was complete.

Happy shopping and thanks for stopping by today, as always you can find more ideas and inspiration on the My Favorite Things You Tube Channel!

My Favorite Things January Release - Countdown Day 1

Hello and welcome to Countdown Day 1 for MFT's January release going live at 10am EST TOMORROW!!!

I've got a slimline card for you today that features the new I'm So In Love With You, Still stamp set which comes with coordinating die-namics.   Also used in this card the new Love Ya stamp.   My background was created using Slimline Drafts & Hills Stencil and Slimline Cloud Edges Stencil.   My frame was created from Chantilly Cream cardstock using the Slimline Double Stitched Rectangle Die-namics.

I created my background using the stencils and softly ink blending  the ground and sky.   I framed out the background with the frame I created using Chantilly Cream cardstock applied with foam tape then popped this panel in my Misti where I stamped the Love Ya sentiment using Wild Cherry ink by MFT.   I then moved my panel 1/8 inch within the Misti and did a second generation stamping without re-inking in order to create the shade effect you see.  I stamped the tufts of grass from the stamp set.

I stamped the two images from I'm So In Love With You, Still stamp set and coloured them with Copic markers:-

Fur - E44, E43, E42, E0000
Cheeks - R00, R20, R21
Straw Hat - E51, W3, W2, W1
Reds - R59, R39, R29, R27
Shading - W2, W1

The images were die cut and applied with foam tape with the little heart stamped between them.

My Favorite Things January Release - Countdown Day 2

It's Countdown Day 2 to the My Favorite Things January 11th release and today I'm previewing the new Giant Love Die-Namics and All Kinds Of Love stamp set and Say Anything Stencil.  I also borrowed a couple of words from Straight From The Heart which was previewed by the Design Team on Countdown Day 1.

I used pastel Distress Oxide Inks to stencil ink blend the speech bubbles and then stamped the fun sentiments that fit within them.   This panel was backed with craft foam and applied to an A7 panel of Princess Pink cardstock which in turn was adhered to my card base.

The Giant Love die was die cut 3 times from Princess Pink then once again from Silver Shine cardstock and lastly a final die cut using silver sparkle cardstock.  I stacked and glued and the final layer was offset to reveal the shiny layer underneath.

Last but not least I stamped the 'I Just' and 'You' from Straight From the Heart using black ink and fussy cut and applied with foam tape.

Be sure and visit MFT's Blog today and see what else is new and also make sure to leave a comment to put yourself in the running for a gift voucher!   Thanks for stopping by today and as always you can find more ideas and inspiration on the My Favorite Things You Tube Channel!

My Favorite Things January Release - Countdown Day 5

Hello and welcome to Countdown Day 5 to My Favorite Thing's January 11th release!
My card today is previewing the brand new and adorable Stacey Yacula illustrated You Are My Happy Place stamp set and in the background you can see the new Never-Ending Love Background Stamp.

A panel of Princess Pink cardstock was stamped and heat embossed in white with the new background stamp.   The panel was trimmed down and adhered to a kraft cardstock panel which in turn was adhered to a white panel which was all mounted on my card base.

I used the A2 Rectangles Frames die-namics to create a white frame which was backed with foam tape and applied.

I chose the adorable sloth image from the stamp set, stamping it and colouring with Copic markers:-

E44, E43, E42, E40 and E0000, Cheeks R00, R20, R21

Images were die cut using the coordinating die-namics and applied to the scene with foam tape and as you can see I added more of the leave branches, tucking them here and there to balance the scene.

Finally I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed in white and a few sequins accent the finished card.

Happy Trails - Purple Onion Designs

Another Valentine's card today for Purple Onion Designs and this time I'm using the cute T-Bird (Bear in Plane) image from the Happy Trails collection illustrated by Stacey Yacula and the bear is throwing out X's and O's amongst the clouds.   I thought this one might work well for a guy.

First task was to grab a slimline panel and mask the edges off equally and then ink blend using Distress Oxide Ink in Peacock Feathers.   I then carefully removed the mask.

The T-Bird image was stamped on Copic friendly cardstock and coloured with Copic markers, points were highlighted with a white gel pen.  I used BG09 and BG49 together with W5 and W7 for depth shading for the plane's body, such a delicious colour combo!  This was fussy cut and backed with foam tape and applied to the scene.

I die cut several white clouds using a die in my stash and applied those either directly or with foam tape. On one of them I stamped the sentiment using red ink.

For the X's and O's I used the Oliver Alpha die by Hello Bluebird Stamps.  I die cut each letter 3 times with white cardstock and a 4th time with red.  I layered these together with glue and when adding the red top layer I slight offset it to the right so a little more of the white beneath it was visible.  I adhered these to the scene.

At this point I decided there was room for more cuteness so I stamped and coloured the bird, fussy cut and applied.

For the finishing touches I used a teal gel pen to add dots and I applied two different sizes of sparkling clear sequins by Pretty Pink Posh.

The whole panel was adhered to a white cardstock base and then the card was complete.

Happy crafting!

Spread Kindness - Purple Onion Designs

For this Valentine's card I used Flynt and Goldie the boy and girl fairies from the Spread Kindness collection illustrated by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs.  For the horizon beneath them I've used a stamp from the 'A Beautiful Day' collection and the sentiment is from the 'Essential Happy Sentiment Set'.

To create the card I first stamped the horizon on to an A2 Copic friendly panel.  I coloured this image with Copic markers YG91, YG93, YG95 and YG97.   I then stamped the image again on masking paper which I fussy cut the image, layered it over the coloured image and then ink blended the sky using Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick.   I removed the mask.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut a white cardstock frame and applied it popped up on foam tape.

On more Copic friendly cardstock I stamped Flynt and Goldie using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.   I coloured Flynt using the colours from the horizon plus E37 and E27 and I use W shades for some shading.   For Goldie I used the W's for shading and skirt and RV23, RV13 and R24 for her other clothing.   Skin tones used are  E000, E21, E11 and E04.

These images were fussy cut, backed with foam tape and applied and I added some Stickles Glitter in Diamond to the fairy wings and with that the card was complete.

Happy crafting!

Valentine's Day - Purple Onion Designs

I'm mixing up my Stacey Yacula illustrated stamps for Purple Onion Designs to create this Valentine's Day card.

The branch and woodgrain background are from the 'A Beautiful Day' collection, the clouds from 'A Sweet Summer' and the critters from 'Garden Blooms'.  The card was made by stamping the woodgrain background stamp with Versamark Ink on to an A2 panel then heat embossing in white for a subtle look.  I then used a circle die from my stash of useful basics and die cut the opening.

A panel of cardstock was ink blended using Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers.  The panel was splashed with water and paint splashes and a few dots made with a white gel pen.  This panel was attached to a 110lb white cardstock base, the embossed panel was backed with foam tape and also applied.

On Copic friendly cardstock I used Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa to stamp the images.  I coloured them with Copic markers and then fussy cut all images, backed them with foam tape and applied them to the scene.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment and applied it with foam tape and a couple of Nuvo Crystal Drops added a minimal accent.

Thank you for stopping by today, I'll be back soon with a new project.  Happy crafting!

Cloud Mat Die with Cupids - Avery Elle Stamps

Hi!   I'm gearing up for Valentine's Day with my latest card for Avery Elle Stamps.   My card today features the new Cloud Mat Die together with the new Cupids stamp set.

I die cut an A2 panel of white cardstock using the Cloud Mat Die and adhered it to a white cardstock base.  I die cut a panel of pale pink cardstock using the Postage Stamp Die, I backed this die cut with foam tape and applied it to the background.

I die cut the Cloud Mat one more time from 110lb white cardstock.   I chose some of the clouds this created and applied Versamark Ink to these and then dunked them in Wow! Embossing Powder in 'Salsa' and heat embossed using my heat tool.  The clouds were backed with foam tape and applied to the scene.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock the Cupids and sentiments were stamped using Ranger Archival Ink in  Potting Soil.   They were watercolour painted using Tombow ABT's in 977 and 772 and Kuretake Zigs in Light Beige, Pale Pink, Haze Blue, Warm Gray 2 and Orange.  They were die cut and applied to the scene with more foam tape.

I felt no other embellishment was required given how glittery the clouds are so I just highlighted a few points with a white gel pen and then the card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, happy crafting!

Valentine's Card for Purple Onion Designs

Hello!  I have a relatively quick Valentine's card for you today using stamps from Stacey Yacula Studio for Purple Onion Designs.  Characters are from the Spread Kindness category and the balloons are from the Sweet Occasions category.

I masked off the edges of an A2 panel of white cardstock.  I used a cloud stencil and Distress Oxide Ink in Spun Sugar to create a romantic, cloudy background.  The mask was then removed.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped all of the images using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil, I stamped my sweet characters.  I watercolour painted them using Kuretake Zigs in the following colours - Deep Red 260 (also for hearts), Light Pink 026, Haze Blue 302, Pale Pink 028 and Flesh Colour 071.  I also used Tombow ABT's in shades 912 and 020.

I fussy cut the images and applied them to the scene using dimensional foam tape.  The decorative panel was applied to a pink cardstock base and a writing insert was adhered inside.

Using a piece of scrap cardstock of the same type used for the card base I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in silver, I trimmed up the strip and added that with foam tape also.

The final touch was the addition of a few jewel type embellishments which reflect some of the colours used in the project.

Thanks for coming by to read about this Valentine's card, I'll be back with another card for Purple Onion very soon!

Happy crafting!

Floral Hearts - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello!  Pretty Pink Posh has a new release available for purchase tomorrow (January 8th) and I am happy to be able to share this sneak peek of a gorgeous new stamp set called 'Floral Hearts' that is great for Valentine's Day and well beyond.

Using my Misti I stamped the open heart images (there's another closed heart design in the set).  I used Distress Ink in Antique Linen and stamped very lightly since this is all you want with no-line watercolour painting.  I painted my images delicately using just three colours of Kuretake Zigs.  They are .... Light Green No.41, Light Pink No.26 and Pink No.25.

The painted panel was kept really simple and adhered to the card base.  Next, I took a pre-prepared skinny sentiment strip and stamped two of the sentiments with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in Gold.  I trimmed them to size and applied them with dimensional foam tape behind them.

I was going for super sweet and simple and decided no further embellishment was needed.

Thanks for coming along to read about this card and I hope you treat yourself to this mini stamp set.

'And Then' Sentiment Set - Avery Elle

Hello everybody!  I'm sharing a card using the new And Then  sentiment stamp set from the most recent Avery Elle release.

Since the sentiments in this set are slightly chunky/oversized I decided I'd do a larger than normal card and I'm pretty much addicted to 'Slimline' cards right now.  The finished dimensions are 3 1/2" x 8 1/2", so cut an A4 panel of cardstock at 7 inches then score and fold in half (4 bar).  My panel was cut from the remainder of the sheet and is sized 3.2" x 8.2".  These cards fit a standard 'slimline' envelope which is easily found in online searches.

I ink blended my panel using Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon.  I then took a couple of different stencils that I had and used different sized circles from each, moving it about and ink blending using White Pigment Ink to create a bubbly or bokeh affect.  I stamped the sentiment with black archival ink and dotted in a few spots using a Uni-Ball Signo white gel pen.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped my images from Swans and watercolour painted them using Kuretake Zigs.  I fussy cut the images out and adhered them using foam tape for dimension.  I backed the panel with white craft foam and stuck it to the card base.

The final touch was to draw the ripples of water around the swans again using the Uniball Signo White gel pen.

Card complete!  Thanks for coming by today, I'll see you next time .......

Three Hearts Die - Avery Elle

Hey there!   I'm sharing a card I've made using the lovely new and ever so useful 'Three Hearts Die' from Avery Elle's newest release.  This die will make your Valentine's cards incredibly easy!

For this card I called upon an old favourite stamp set Woodland Wonders.  I fancied this card as a love card from parent to younger child and so I imagined it like a children's book.

The card starts with a panel of white cardstock which I die cut using the Large Pierced Scallops Elle-ments die.  I then ink blended the edge softly using Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass.   I then die cut the Three Hearts Die.  I ink blended the negative heart cuts  with more of the Tumbled Glass and also with Cracked Pistachio and stamped a few tufts of grass from Woodland Wonders.

I stamped the sentiment 'LOVE you' in the top right hand corner using the new 'And Then' sentiment set then applied dimensional foam tape to the back of the panel and applied it to a Kraft cardstock base.  I applied adhesive to the back of each ink blended heart and recessed them carefully through the openings.  On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped the characters from Woodland Wonders, I then watercolour painted them then die cut and applied them with more dimensional foam tape.

To finish out this card I applied some toning sequins and then created a white paper writing insert inside the card (80lb weight) and stamped that with another sentiment from the 'And Then' sentiment set which reads:  You Make My Heart Happy.

I appreciate you stopping by to read about this card today, I hope you are a little inspired - happy crafting!
