Alex Syberia Designs - New Release Instagram Hop

Thank you for stepping away from the Alex Syberia Designs Instagram Hop and joining me here for the details on my card featuring products from their February release.  For this card I have used the following products:-

I used black ink to repeat stamp a background design using floral images from From Our Hearts.  I trimmed this panel smaller than A2, backed it with white craft foam and applied it to my white card base.

I then stamped the three blooms and some greenery on some more white cardstock and I coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Blue Flower - B63, BV13, BV20
Pink Flower - RV63, RV52, RV10
Yellow Flower - Y26, YR31, E51, YR30
Greenery - YG95, YG93, YG01

Images were die cut using the coordinating dies and then the blooms were added with dimensional foam tape.  I tucked the greenery behind the flowers and when I was happy I applied a little foam tape to the leaves to pop them up.

I completed the card by stamping the sentiment words with black ink and die cutting and applying with little bits of foam tape and the final touch was the addition of some water droplet style embellishment which were added with glue.

I hope you enjoyed my card inspiration today, always a useful style to create and keep on hand.  Thank you for stopping by!

Alex Syberia Designs February Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

I thank you for joining me today on my blog where I'm sharing my first card for Alex Syberia Design's February release.  Love cards shouldn't only be reserved for Valentine's Day and there's some wonderful love and friendship themed products to choose from in the new selection being offered.  Did you hear that there is a UK online site for Alex Syberia products now and you can find it HERE?  This shop serves the UK and EU but also ships across the world as does the US online site which is found HERE.  Last but not least THIS LINK will take you to the Alex Syberia Designs blog hop post which I encourage you to visit.  Be sure to read all the way to the end of my post for GIVEAWAY information and to find a link the next designer on the blog hop.  Thank you.

My first card for the release uses the following products:-

I ink blended a white panel using Blush ink by The Stamp Market.  I faded the ink so it was darkest at one end and lightest at the other.  Over this I glued a white die cut created using the Heart Collage Die.  I then framed this out with a pale peach frame created using the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set and some cardstock from my stash.  The frame was applied popped up on foam tape.

I then took the new Love & XOXO Die Set and die cut 4 times.  Twice in white cardstock, once in pale blue and finally in red.  I glued the letters in stacks with the white slightly offset and you also get a glimpse of the pale blue when viewed from an angle and this will eventually tie in to some of the colouring on the penguins.

I determined a straight line and adhered the big XOXO to the card background.

The images from Penguin Love were stamped with black ink and coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Penguins - T6, T5, T4, T3, G00, G0000, C3, C1, C00, Y19, YR07
Blush - R22, R21, R20, R00
Red - R29, R24, R05
Pot - G00, G0000, C3, C1

All images were die cut using the coordinating dies.

I backed the images with foam tape and applied them to the scene and set them standing on the Roses Are Red sentiment from the same stamp set.

To complete the card I took out my white gel pen and I highlighted the coloured images and the XOXO and then I did some highlights in the actual background collage to create further interest.

Last but not least a few sparkling clear sequins created a subtle sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by!

Lawn Fawn - Ruff You!

Welcome to my blog and a card made for fun using Lawn Fawn products.  Here's a list of links to the products I've used:-

Magic Iris Beehive Add-On (for the flowers)

To create the card I took a panel of pale blue cardstock.  Over this I glued a white panel that I had die cut using the Itsy Bitsy Die and which I had ink blended with a little Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I die cut a sturdy white panel of cardstock using the Meadow Backdrop Die and I ink blended using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks.  I also spattered with water and blotted that up and then splattered some Mowed Lawn loosened with a couple of drops of water.  I backed this panel with dimensional foam tape and applied it to the other panels.

I die cut 6 flowers using the Magic Iris Beehive die and coloured them with Copic markers and then adhered them with glue to the meadow background.  I also added a little piece of foam tape behind each bloom to support it and make sure it stays nice dimensional.

I stamped 3 puppies from Furry and Bright and coloured with the following Copic markers (clockwise from the top):-

Puppy 1 - E70, E71, W2, W1, W0
Puppy 2 - C3, C1, C0, C00
Puppy 3 - E51, E40, E0000

I blushed and highlighted their cheeks and then die cut and applied with more foam tape.

For the punny sentiment I die cut RUFF using the Henry's ABCs die.  I offset the black behind the pink for a shadow when glueing them together and I used Copic markers to shade the pink for the look of more dimension.  I then came in with a white gel pen and highlighted the letters and glued to the sky and lastly I stamped the word YOU on a strip and added it underneath.

I used Copic markers under each pup to add a shadow and a few Nuvo drops completed the scene.

Appreciate you visiting my blog today,  I'll be back soon with something new to share.

Pink and Main February Release

It is my pleasure to be back guest designing for Pink & Main once again this month and today is the day of their brand new February release.  Much to tempt from the new products however I opted to work with the following products:-

For the card, I started with a panel of pink cardstock and I used the Tiny Hearts Hot Foil Plate by Alex Syberia Designs and some pink foil to create the design for a little more added interested.  I framed this panel out with a white die cut frame created using MFT's Rectangle Frames Die-namics.  With some minty green cardstock I added a little insert of green to the bottom of the background on which I 'grew' the blooms.

Using another identical background and the Shaker Tag Dies by Pink & Main I created the tag so that it coordinated with the card.  I glued the parts together and tied some green ribbon through the hole.

I stamped the images from My Little Love Bug and coloured them with Copic markers in the following combinations:-

Bugs - G00, BG11, BG10, BG000, E04, E11, E21, E00
Blush & Pink Blooms - R22, R21, R20, R00
Yellow Flowers - YG00, Y13, Y06, Y21, E51, YR21, Y26
Greenery - YG45, G12, YG11

Images were die cut using the coordinating dies and highlighted with a white gel pen.   I backed the images with dimensional foam tape and applied to the card and gift tag.

For the finishing touches I applied 3 sticky gems from the newly release 'The Greens' selection and I dotted in some daisies to the grass.  Last but not least I stamped the sentiments on sentiment strips using Coral Reef Ink by The Stamp Market.

I hope you like this pretty duo, thank you for visiting my blog today and enjoy shopping the new Pink and Main release.

Waffle Flower - Post Collage Valentine

A warm welcome to you and thank you for joining me on my blog today where I'm sharing a Valentine's card made just for the love of it that showcases the  Postage Collage products from Waffle Flower

To make this card I used the following products:-

I took an A2 panel of sturdy white cardstock and I used the Postage Collage Die to die cut it.

The Postage Collage Rose Stencil has three parts to it and starting with the first one I ink blended until all of the designs were complete.  I used the following Distress Inks for the blending:-

Spun Sugar
Victoria Velvet
Picked Raspberry
Festive Berries
Cracked Pistachio
Mowed Lawn

I then used the Postage Collage Love Stamp Set and Eiffel Tower Ink by MFT to stamp the postage themed images in various positions.

I backed this decorative panel with dimensional foam tape and then adhered that to a white panel that was hidden behind the main one.

I took some toning patterned cardstock from my stash, this one is Strawberry Frosting by Lawn Fawn and I trimmed it just a little shy of A2 and I adhered the decorative panel to it and then this was all glued to an A2 card base.

I'm always itching to embellish and add more but with this one I kept it beautifully simple and classic and added nothing more.  Card done!

Thanks for coming by to read today, it is very much appreciated and I'll be back very soon with something new.  Have a great day!

Purple Onion Designs - Flowers From Tofu

I'm back with a new card for Purple Onion Designs today that features their Flowers From Tofu stamp illustrated by Chilliezgraphy by Pei.  Here's a list of links to the products used:-

I took a panel of white cardstock measuring 4 x 5 1/4 inches.   I used the Vintage Postcard Stamps to stamp all the fun little features to build a postcard and I found some Purple Onion sentiments from my stash to type the Hello and Happy Birthday words.

I then used Spun Sugar and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks to softly ink blend the panel and dotted in some interest.

I stamped the main image using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Overalls - B34, B32, B91
Tofu - C3, C1, C0, C00
Boots - RV34, RV11, R81, W3, W1
Flowers Y19, RV34, RV11, R81, YG06, YG13, E41, E40
Blush - R22, R21, R20, R00

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then I fussy cut the image, backed it with foam tape and applied it to the background.

For the finishing touches I added some tufts of grass and flowers to the the grass and added some shadow beneath Tofu and then I added some clouds with foam tape.  These clouds are from Hello Bluebird's 'Beach Umbrella Die' and I added some subtle colour to each to emphasise them and to pick up on the blue from Tofu's overalls.

The panel was then glued to an A2 white card base and then it was done!  Thanks for reading my blog today!

Hi!  I'm happy to be sharing this CAS card today for Purple Onion Designs which features their 'Flappy's Lucky Day' stamp image.  Read on for the details.

I took a white A2 panel of cardstock and I masked a line above which I ink blended with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink.  I then came in with a cloud stencil from my stash and softly ink blended the sky using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

I stamped the images and coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Flappy - E44, E43, E55, W3, W1, W0, R000, R0000
Blushes - R22, R20, R00
Clover - YG67, G07, YG13
Sparrows - E31, E41, Y19

I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen and then fussy cut the images.

I backed the images with dimensional foam tape and applied them to the background and to finish the card I stamped the sentiment which is from the 'Lucky Sentiment Set'.

Between this stamp image and the sentiment stamp set linked in this blogpost you have many occasions covered including St. Patrick's Day.

Happy cardmaking friends!
