It Happened

America, has once again been disgraced, by the Supreme Courts ruling today, on same sex marriage.  Here you have a classic case of defiance against the way we have been brought us to believe.  Now, they can do everything legal.  Not too long ago, they would have been tarred and feathered, just for mentioning such a thing.  Wonder what our ancestors would think about this one?

Just A Few Miles

Fear gripped my heart this morning as I saw the wire flash come across the web page I was on.  Just a few miles away, my son works at one of the shipyards, that handles the Navy ships on a daily basis.  I immediately contacted my grand daughter to find out which one her dad worked at.  I am thankful it wasn't at the one where he worked.  I'm sad because of the loss of lives at the shipyard in Washington DC.  This is a cowardly act on the part of someone who thinks they have been mistreated.  If in fact, there is another shooter, which has been reported possible, I hope he is caught as soon as possible.
My heart, prayers and thoughts are with the people who have lost a family member and to those who have been injured.  Only by the grace of God, was I not a mother who possibly lost her son, today to this horrible act.

Check?

We are in the midst of a world gone crazy.  Amongst us are people who can't abide by certain standards.  It's now necessary to make certain tests for employment.  The background check services  can help screen a person for certain positions with in a company or governmental service that's very important.  These checks give background on a person's criminal and financial records.

Violence

I've been looking at the local news.  There's always the wrecks that happen when morning commutes are taking place.  The deaths or attacks from violence have been properly published in the local news.  It seems that I have been scouring through them to keep from delving into the horrible world news.  America, is in the middle of it again.  It's just another time in our lives, when the other countries think they can use our country as a scapegoat to launch their angers.  It's unkind for them to do this sort of thing, when our country comes to their aide time and time again.  Why, do they think that attacking us makes for any change?  They will still be the culture that they are, and we will still be America.  It's just disgusting.

Post 911

Our nation observed the tragic event of 2001, yesterday.  We were glad that each observance was had during the day, without incident.  It's always a time to reflect and look back at the scene's recorded as they happen.  Every strategic source is on alert when certain events like this are unfolding.  We American's take our freedom and safety as something precious.  For terrorists to come here and ruin this is unthinkable.  We are thankful that yesterday went unscathed.

Politics

I'm sure by now you've seen who is in the running for the presidency and who has dropped out.  It's always a messy situation every 4 years when then crap gets started.  I'm worried we will get someone in there that isn't going to do any better than the last few.  I frankly don't see anyone that I want to vote for.  What about you?

Gay/Lesbian Rights.........

Obama is instructing his Health and Human Services secretary to draft rules requiring hospitals that receive Medicare and Medicaid payments to grant all patients the right to designate people who can visit and consult with them at crucial moments. The designated visitors should have the same rights that immediate family members now enjoy.  He is ordering that nearly all hospitals allow patients to say who has visitation rights and who can help make medical decisions, including gay and lesbian partners.
Medicare-Medicaid hospitals, which include most of the nation's facilities, may not deny visitation and consultation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.
The move was called a major step toward fairness for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.
This is a critical step in ending discrimination against LGBT families and ensuring that, in the event of a hospital stay, all Americans have the right to see their loved ones.

Tea Party member Paul Gruchala holds his sign during a rally marking the one-year anniversary of the movement in Troy, Michigan February 27, 2010. Some Tea Partiers say they can pinpoint the precise moment when they made it clear to the Republican Party they had no intention of being its lapdog. On a bright, brisk afternoon in mid-February, with snow still thick on the ground from storms that had battered Washington the week before, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele met with more than 50 members of the Tea Party, the Twitter Age conservative movement that is reshaping the U.S. political landscape.

Stability...........

This is a word often used to make sure things or the actual subject was being stable. Like a patient being stabilized, or a platform that was stable and wouldn't crumble or fall. I often wish our country was more stable and we could once again relax. It's been such and uphill battle, trying to understand how, we've gotten into the place we are today. Our country is rattled and worried, on the brink of giving up to the hell that's taking place. How could we have let our politicians get us in so deep? It's truly a mess, and one that won't make our America, free for very long, if this keeps up. It's like a single person, wanting to find a mate who is stable and dependable. We would like our country to be the same.
