God is near

How I've loved scrolling down through your last several posts and soaking up wonderful Christmas spirit, even though Christmas is five days past. Your reflections as you participated in the sacrament were breathtaking . . . thanks so much for sharing that. I loved the cookie post, as well! I'm wishing that I had taken the time (time?) to be reading these through December when I was grasping for any measure of Christmas spirit. I guess that's an odd thing for a missionary to say. I did finally start to feel the warmth of the season after a major breakdown on the 18th of December!
I love you and miss you, I can't tell you how much. I'm so proud of you for continuing to improve your health and well-being (forty pounds!) You inspire me. Love always, Sandra
