VALENTINE...

 

Yes i am back ..just for this week , i have not been creating cards for a few months ... but since the New Year making Angels ( see at bottom of the page)

 Above is a photo taken of my brother and his wife, the last photograph i have before my brother`s life changing accident on the 24th May 2014 -  yes it 252 days, and he is making a very slow , but determind recovery...and has just been moved to a new subcute home, where physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, cognitive rehabilitation therapy, and  occupational therapy can start on his rehabilitation..on getting him eating ,walking and for his traumatic brain injury...

Now to explain why have been making ANGELS from glass beads :~

below is the website (sansoxygen.com) set up by my brothers wife and friends , keeping an update on my brothers progress and a place for friends to donate to the fund ... nothing is free in America , and as my brother was working free lance as a font designer and had been living in the country for less than two years,and was the major bread winner, my sister-in-law has no income coming in or help from the state, so is relying on family and  friends ...who have been amazingly supportive.

so, here i am making glass Angels  , to send to people who have kindly donated through me on my facebook page (see below)..here are a few i have made...

... and some small window charms, as well as larger ones , wine glass charms ... well if nothing else it is giving me therapy, making them..they can be found here...

for a 8 x8 card i made a few days ago,( on my saturdays post) i had to make this very quick box as it wouldn`t fit into a envelope, as the flowers stood up too high (grrrrrrr)..so quick i forgot to take a picture of the sides, but here is the photo of the lid, used the black card and pink ribbon around the base and sides

well what a morning... rain, rain , rain.....least i don`t have to go out for school runs..it`s the WEEKEND!!...so can stay in the dry and warm, as still have this terrible cold and my nose is sooooooooooooo red!!(didn`t need to add a nose for RED NOSE DAY yesterday!!)

for this card for my brother i used tim holtz bike stamp, unity tree and word stamp, cuttlebug "with love"embossing borders , finished with dovecraft chalks.

thought i would share my before and after photos of Aaron`s new hair cut....

was a sad day yesterday as my next door neighbours have now sold and moved.. been the best neighbours ever for the last 12years..won`t be the same without Andy, Helen and sweet little Elsie and ofcause Treacle the cat..... made me think we have been here for 18 years..... Paul and my first home together and looks like our retirement home!!..cutting out the inbetween ones , as just cannot afford to move and buy bigger........ just hope our new neighbours are as nice....
