Patchwork Bunch of Balloons

Morning friends.
It's only a week, but it seems an age since I posted a card. Hope you had a lovely week and are enjoying the weekend.

I had a wonderful day on Tuesday when 3 friends and myself went for a spa day to Centreparcs.  Unbeknown to me, Carol upgraded us, so on arrival, we had a glass of champagne followed by a light breakfast and coffee. We then spent an extremely relaxing time in the many spa rooms before lunch and more champagne. The afternoon was just as relaxing. I apologise to all who were enjoying a relaxing spa day because we did not seem to see all the signs outside the spa rooms which said Shhhh!!!  Lots of talking and laughing was just what the Dr ordered.  To just relax totally is something that doesn't  happen often enough so I will endeavour to go again in the near future.

My card today I made for a friend who's partner is 60 today. Happy Birthday Dave.
I have used a LOTV image called Patchwork Bunch of Balloons.

The card blank is from Craftwork Cards and the papers are from Nitwit Collections. I have backe the image onto a  new favourite which is Kraft card.

I have coloured the image with Pro Markers and Flexi Markers.

The clouds are from a Memory Box die. The ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

Stamped blessings - Die cuts

I have had such a busy week and have not had much chance to visit your wonderful blogs so, when i finish work tonight, I will be visiting you all. Take care.

Thank you for the get well comments for Dad. He is a lot better than yesterday but still not well. I am stopping with mum for a couple of nights and don't want to seem rude so time for commenting will be limited but I will try my best. I can perhaps sneak in a couple of hours when she goes to bed as she is not a night owl like myself.

Rosie with Presents

Good Afternoon friends.

Gosh it's so quiet. All I can hear is myself pressing down on the computer keys. Bliss. Russ has gone paint balling. Sophie has gone out for the day to see Phantom of the Opera (lucky girl) so there is just myself and Lara (the cat). I am really enjoying the silence whilst I can. Hope you are all well. Thank you for the information about a candy give away - that will be on my to do list during the next couple of weeks.

For my card today I have used LOTV Rosie with presents.

Tilda Ballerina

Evening friends.
Well it looks like the start of a new week is the start of a much cooler week. Best get the grass cut before the rain starts again. That's enough boring stuff how has the craft world been for you. I have managed to get two cards done today. The one I am now posting and a DT card for  Diva's by Design which will go out on Wednesday. I think I have been in a definite pink and yellow phase today as I have used these colours for both cards. They have also both got the Tim Holtz Butterflight die which I bought last week. I absolutely love this die but have not bought it before as I was told that it will not go through the Wizard or the Grand Calibur. Well...I decided to buy it and had a word with Linda who runs a craft class in town and she kindly let me cut a few out on her Culttlebug. And when I got home I found out it does actually work in my wizard with the pink plate. Yipee.

For today's card I have used the gorgeous Tilda Ballerina

Today's card I have used the gorgeous Tilda Ballerina

Tilda with Wrapped Heart

Morning blogworld.

I have some exciting news. Last night I was in the middle of writing this blog and cooking tea when my step daughter, our eldest,  came round to tell us she was expecting a baby. Well that was it, computer off, oven off and out to the pub for a few celebratory drinks and food with the parents to be and our middle daughter. Gosh in a few months time I will be grandma. It's only a name but grandma does tend to make you feel older!!! It came a bit sooner than planned because they aren't getting married in 2014. Guess they will have a tiny flower girl or page boy. Russ is feeling very proud understandably.
This is third time lucky as I was once again going to publish this post when my daughter phones me from A & E. She fell over on the way to work this morning and has cracked a bone in her hand so she will have to were a splint for two weeks. Luckily she works at the hospital so she didn't have far to go to x ray. Bless her cotton socks. I AM NOW GOING TO PRESS PUBLISH.

Any way on to today's post. This is the first time I have inked this little beauty and what a pleasure it was. I ordered 3 Tilda stamps from Simon Says after winning one of their challenges and I am chuffed to bits with her.

The card blank is from Craftwork Cards and the papers are from a cd which is available from Polka Doodles called Picknix. Tilda has been coloured with Pro Markers and Flexi Markers with a Faber Castell Polychromo pencil for the shadow round the image. Diamond Sparkles has been added to her dress and heart bow.

The flowers, metal corner embellishment and the pink hat pins are from WOC and the pearl hat pin is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop as is the bow. These were from a blog hop win and the ribbon is gorgeous so will be definitely putting an order in for more. (I don't think I will ever be able to give up work)!!!

The poppy die and the butterfly are both by Memory box and are available from many on line stores.  The sentiment is from a collection by LOTV. I cannot remember where I got the punch butterfly, sorry.

I am entering this card into the following challenges.

http://simplymagnolia.blogspot.co.uk/ - Pink, white/green

Moving Day

Good Afternoon friends.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. My intention was to get up early today and make a card with one of my new Tilda Stamps which I can't wait to use. That didn't work out though as housework and paying bills got in the way (boring, boring, boring), so I have only now got into my craft room. Better late than never I suppose. Before I start crafting I thought I would post this card  I made last week.

LOTV Moving Day

Card blank is from Craftwork Cards. The papers are a mixture of Sassy Designs (51% off at the moment)!!! and  Pink Petticoat. The image has been coloured using Pro Markers, Flexi Markers and Polychromo pencils for the sofa. My husband wrote the caption on the TV which say's "Home is where the Heart is", which I thought was perfect for a moving card.

The poppy die is from Memory Box and the flowers are from WOC.

I am entering this card into the following challenges
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything goes

Have a lovely evening and enjoy the rest of your weekend. I cannot leave without saying a big thank you to my lovely visitors and followers. I love reading all you comments and always try my best to catch up with you as often as I can.

Love and Hugs to you all.

Wedding Couple

Hello bloggers.

Hope you are all well and managing to fit in some crafty time. As I mentioned on my last post, my mojo disappeared and I was desperate to get it back. Well, my mojo came back but it would not let me create the wedding card I needed to do. The wedding colours were Cadbury purple, cream and gold and try as I might I could not create something that I was happy with. I wasn't asked to use those colours, that was my idea - one of my bad ideas!!! Anyhow I got up yesterday and instead of beating myself up about it, set out to make a wedding card more suited to my style.

I used LOTV's Wedding Couple.

I coloured the bride with Pro and Flexi markers and added Diamond Sparkles to the dress and flowers and coloured the groom with Faber Castell, Polychromo pencils.

The flowers, metal embellishment and hat pin are from WOC. The Sentiment stamps are from Whimsy Stamps. The butterfly is a Memory Box Die.

I am entering this card into the following challenges
Papertake Weekly - Sketch 54
Everybody Art Challenge - Anything goes
Cupcake  Craft Challenges - Flowers in image
My Mums Craft Shop - Anniversary - wedding
Dutch Dare - Bling it on
Passion for ProMarkers - Needles and Pins
Whimsy Stamps - lots of layers
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - Ribbons and bows
Stamptacular sunday Challenge - Roses and Ribbons
Through the craftroom door - Anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - Bling it up

Enjoy the rest of your day and I will see you all again soon. Take care.

Party Girl

Good Afternoon blog world.
Hope you  are having a good day and looking forward to the weekend. I am having a couple of hours away from my craft room because I can't find my mojo anywhere. I am supposed to be making a wedding card but am not having much luck. I think the problem is that I have been given specifics ie Cadbury's purple, gold and cream. I haven't got any papers that match the colour ribbon I need to use and cream is not really a colour I use. What's a girl to do!!!

So, I will post a card which I made next week and hopefully by the time I have completed this post I may get some inspiration. I have just read my post before publishing it and had a little laugh to myself. I will see if any of you bloggers out there can spot my mistake, let's say I think I am getting ahead of myself!!!

I have used LOTV Party Girl

The colours I have used are quite a bit darker than I would normally used so I have toned them down slightly with some black, which I actually love to use on cards.

The image has been coloured with Pro and Flexi Markers and the papers are from Nitwit Collections. Her crown and the hearts have Diamond Sparkles added.

The Poppy Die which is a real favourite of mine is by Memory Box and the tag is from Whimsy Stamps. The flower is a Spellbinders Die. The ribbon is from my stash and sorry but I have no idea where I purchased the butterfly.

I am entering this card into the following challenges
The Paper Shelter - Anything goes

Right I am going to count to ten and ready or not mojo I am coming to find you.

Hugs to you all and will see you soon.
