Copa is framed!

Copa is back from the framer!  She has a black mat, red mad, gold filet, black mat and a gold frame.
Nice work Maggie!

Copa complete!

I laid tulle over the bustle part of the skirt, beaded her hip ornament and dangles and added lots of gold beads to the top of the tulle!

She is ready for the framer!

Ta da!

The dress is all beaded and so is her shoe!  On to the bustle of the dress!

Let the beading begin!

So I am adding silver beads to the black dress.  They fit nicely in the well of the stitches.  I worked down to the drapes today and hope to get the rest of the dress done tomorrow!

An Elegant dress!

The dress is all stitched!  Now I have to decide if I want to add more beads or just leave it as it is!

More of the dress

I have completed the stitches on the dress and highlight down to the top of her leg!

Starting on the gown

I have started the gown and have worked down to her waist so far.  This is so sparkly in person and as with most metallic fibers, they don't photo well.

Most of the second one

I have stitched most of the second glove....if you look real close you will notice that I did not do
her fingers yet.....saving that for later!  You will see why in a while!

A necklace and a glove

The necklace is all beaded and has some crystals as well.  The first glove is stitched!

More beading

I have beaded the circle part of the head dress with black, silver and gold beads....getting flashy!

Hair!

Copa has gorgeous red hair!  She needs it to hold up that headpiece! 

The black plume

I finished all of the beads on the black plume!  Working on the hair next!

I have started the black plume part of the headress.  Brick beading is a bit slow around the other feathers!

Feathers

 

The feather portion of the head dress is all stitched and fluffed!

And down to the toe!

I finished all of the leg--all the way down to the tip of her toes!

Long legs

Copa has a very long front leg peeking out from the gown and I am about half way!

Progress

I have finished her entire torso in three shades of Splendor!

Face and

I have completed her face and started her arm on the right side and moving towards the shoulder.  There will be more details added after more stitching is done.....beads, etc!

A road trip

A trip to the bead store was necessary!  I needed some beads for Copa, the upcoming Bergere by Leigh Designs, and some other finds!  The first five on the left are for Bergere, the next 3 tubes are for Copa, the green ones are a Super Duo bead in Peridot, amd large gold sequins!

All four borders are done....helps that the skirt takes up a lot of the right side!
