7. Waterlily: triangular and rhombic shawls


This adaptation of one of the most famous and beautiful motifs for Haapsalu shawls “Waterlily”. The pattern is changed that it is possible to create triangular or rhombic shawls.

There are 3 possibilities: to knit triangular shawl by increasing stitches, to knit triangular shawl by decreasing stitches, to knit rhombic shawl by increasing and then decreasing stitches.

*the lace edge from the shawl on the picture is not included into the description

This pattern is created by putting delicate “flowers” of the Waterlily motif into the Checked motif with bobbles.
