Cameron in danger of opening the gates (and wedging them open).

Cameron's proposals will enlarge government, not shrink it, I suspect.

It is one thing being lorded over by 646* professional morons , but even worse is being lorded over by 64,600 amateur morons...on your doorstep.

I do suspect that Cameron will be an unwitting stooge (if he is benign) or an out and out traitor (if willing) in handing over more authority to the Regions. Wait for it, for his army of dim-bulb no-nothing "useful idiots" will be persuaded by some Federast to move power to the Regions and let them sort it out.

He will NOT, I repeat NOT be able to relocate ANY powers WHATSOEVER from the EU machine back to the UK UNLESS he leaves the EU. He will not, so any talk is pointless.

So, Cameron is going to move power from Westminster to the Regions (I suspect), who are EU lickspittles and beholden to the Brussels coin while not moving ANY powers back to Westminster.

It will be hollowed out.

Once the process begins, the call for each region to match the Scottish, NI and Welsh Regoinal Assemblies will become incessant - all funded, look you, with OUR money! OUR money used to fund the theft of OUR sovereignty and more of OUR money.

School For Scoundrels, in fact.

What should happen first and foremost is a mass repeal of needless and/or illiberal legislation. This would include the European Communities Act, so bringing back full sovereignty to the UK. Cameron does not promise this.

In parallel, the Regional Development Agencies - Regional Government In Waiting - must be dismantled. Nobody asked for them, nobody voted them in, but local politicians love them because they provide great "career" prospects, sinecures, comfy buggins-turn posts and more committees, biscuits, junkets and unaccountable power - a metaphorical ball-pit the size of Wembley Stadium for them to play in. They will not be able to throw their toys out of the pram because we would have taken all their toys and sent the pram back to the shop. Cameron does not promise this.

Any "devolving of power" should, in the first instance, be delivered to the Individual, NOT to local councils. Cameron does not promise this.

Remember we will be removing Education and much of healthcare from their remit. Their role is mostly parks, pavements and the lighting thereof. Libraries, that sort of caper. Oh, and something very very important - care of those who are not in a position to fully exercise informed consent - the Elderly and Mentally Ill. Kids, in general, have their guardians to do that for them, btw, and that will be restored too.

Cameron has not really promised power to the people, he has just made it more likely that more people - local politicians - will have more power and so people will experience this power and at closer quarters. I am in no doubt that the vast majority of people will not like it one bit.

For all his talk of reforming Parliament, until he gets us out of the EU, that is like talking about reforming a Steam Train factory during a nationwide electrification programme outside his control.

Put the kettle on, Dave, there is a good chap.

If you want to see the restoration of Sovereignty, the re-assertion of the Rule of Law with the reduction in coercion and the increase in consent that this brings, there is only one choice - The Libertarian Party, UK.

What if Labour voters vote Green in the EU Elections?

Just imagine if the EU suddenly had many more "Green" - a.k.a. enforced collectivist, anti-tech, anti-industry, anti-progress, anti-logic - MEPs because of the feelings of Labour supporters.

I hope the numbers are balanced by Tories voting UKIP.

If this happens, please, Nigel Farage, do not get seduced by "the dark side" you have been fighting all these years. Keep away from the teat.

Dan Hannan Skewers Gordon Brown at the EUdenrat

hat tip Guido.

Dan Hannan says it as he so often does in clear, logical, and precise terms and with surgical precision. His minutes at the microphone are beautifully crafted and constructed, building into a crescendo.

A bankrupt Prime Minister, pathologically incapable not just of admitting fault, but of running the country, has just been skewered. Farage gave Blair a wonderful bitch-slapping at the end of his 6-month presidency, and Dan has now exposed Gordon in assembly, stripping him of his fraudulently obtained colours in magnificent style.

Bravo, Dan. 10/10. In a word: Delicious.

p.s. Loved the gasps around the chamber as the rapier wit did its work. You can't say that! Will you step outside! Will you step outside!!!!

More Econazism: Incandescent Light Bulbs

As many of you may know, the EU had previously slapped an import tariff on CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs). Anti dumping? Well, protecting German manufacturer Osram, more like.

So, they, the EU, are now banning the manufacture and sale of incandescent, i.e. "trad" lightbulbs at or above 100W, they say because of "green issues".

This is wrong on so many levels.

1) Alternatives are far from mature.

CFLs:
take time to come on (when I turn a light on...I want it ON)
flicker, causing headaches
give off an ugly light
are often just not powerful enough.
they contain highly toxic mercury, so MUST be recycled.

Apart from the above, if one shatters or breaks, you have to reach for your NBC suit...

The Government advice is:

• Vacate the room and ventilate it for at least 15 minutes.
• Do not use a vacuum cleaner.
• Clean up using rubber gloves and aim to avoid breathing in any dust.
• Sweep up all glass fragments and place in a plastic bag.
• Wipe the area with a damp cloth, add that to the bag and seal it.
• Don't put the bag in the bin. Take it a council amenity site or recycling centre where it can be handled as hazardous waste.

Nice. Just what I want around my home.

LEDs:
Very expensive
Not powerful enough
Not dimmable in normal conditions*

2) The "replacement" is subject to protectionism, which means we, the consumer, have to pay more than the market rate to keep Osram execs in Mercedes Benz.

3) Traditional light bulbs give off heat. This is only a "waste" when outdoors and in summertime. Considering the ratio of lightbulb use in summer vs winter and the fact that most traditional bulbs are in domestic, interior settings, the "waste heat" is far less than people would initially deduce from a direct bulb-to-bulb comparisons.

4) The issue over CO2 is rapidly becoming a canard.

Damn them and damn the EU for forcing me to buy such hazardous products. Note the concept of force here. I am not being advised or encouraged via lower purchase prices and lower running costs - quite the reverse as the high up-front price of Corporate Welfare - but forced due to "legislation" (again, I will not tarnish the term "law" by using it here). The term "enviro-mental" rings ever more true.

I do believe that LEDs are the way, so it is half-cocked to go off banning the only viable alternative for human beings (unless your brain runs so slowly the 50Hz flicker is ok for you) until they are bright and cheap enough to take over.

This is another example of Authoritarianism, protectionism, Corporate Welfare and Eco Fascism from the EU.

It is not a case of "can we leave yet". I've never joined, so how do I make it legal so they stop pestering me?

* unlike EU ministers, who seem to come pre-dimmed.

The Mask slips still futher

At times the Government puts up a little effort to pretend to be our elected representatives.

I now hear that the UK Police will be asked/allowed/enabled/directed to enter your property, vis your computer hard drive without your permission, without notification, nor with a warrant. They will do so if the active agent is a "foreign" Police force, i.e. another EU force.

Therefore, "our"* Government is happy to see our Police be a proxy for an EU Member State force, bypassing our Courts and English Common Law.

The EU is not one for Rule of Law and the EU is the source of this outrage. I doubt the EU will see it as an outrage, for it probably makes it "easier" for them to perform their activities -NEVER a sufficient justification for reducing the rights of the individual.

This Labour Administration has shown it is now no more than an EU Gaulieter. The UK Police is clearly considered no more superior with regards to our liberties than any other EU force. We have seen how foreign courts can demand the UK Police jump and arrest someone, but again, I do believe that the UK Government no longer considers them "foreign", just as they do not appear to consider other EU forces as "foreign".

This is how it now appears - that the Labour Administration does not consider EU Member States as "foreign", nor the EU Parliament, nor the EU Commission, but views the UK as just a collection of Regions with no more or less sovereignty over us as any other EU Region.

Come on, you bunch of Fabian Fifth Columnist lickspittles. Admit it. Have the stones. Then we can begin your trial for Treason.

BTW, forget the Tory Administration, they are Centrists who are part of the problem. The LibDems are a nest of Fabians for sure. Any Libertarians therein have got to realise this now, especially after the horsetrading that is going on over some so-called "National Unity" Government. Anyone who thinks this will do anything other than swallow up and spit out the Lib Dems is naive. Not forgetting that UKIP has an historic membership of albatrosses who are united by one thing only - a hatred of all things EU, so the true Libertarians therein are also up the swanee.

Nope, the one party that stands for Rule of Law, yet sees the EU and a bloated State as a threat to it, is the Libertarian Party. The Libertarian Party is the one party that will not stand in the way** of you to live your own private life as Tory or as Socialist as you want to be, as long as you do not try and coerce others to be also, or make them pay for it against their will. Set up your voluntary workers collective or go it alone and set yourself moral standards...for yourself, we will not stop you. Try and impose your dogma on others and you have another thing coming, mind.

* "our" as in a cockroach found in one's kitchen could be considered "one's cockroach".
** note the term "not stand in the way", as opposed to the language of the others, which talks of "allowing". Allow - who do they think they are!

Dusting off still pertinent words.

Thatcher speaks the truth, predicts, as if it needs to be a prediciton, of Labour failings economic and of the intentions of the leeching away of sovereignty to the EU.

Very pertinent we see Labour Eurosceptics, even Wedgie Benn. David, now Lord, Owen MP makes things clear in his intervention in the following edited video:

The full event can be seen here.

And people think things have changed for the better? No, they have got worse. The contempt for anyone not dancing to the EU tune can be seen by the outrageous behaviour of various Federasts in the EUdenrat towards the Czech President, which I am sure you can find on Youtube.

p.s. I did find it amusing how the Blimp-like Tory Christopher Beezley asked Dan "The Man" Hannan "will you come out side..you can't say that!". Oh yes he can - prove him wrong.

Fencepost No. 10: Regional Ministers

We now see another step forward in the attempt to break up England as a Nation. I say "attempt", but a stronger word is needed for those performing this have been moving forward inexorably like fungi on a rotting oak.

We have seen the appointment of Regional Kommissars Ministers by Brown on the second day of his Premiership and the EU Constitution used to further the case without a peep from Cameron.

We have seen "proposals" to enable the Regions to take over income tax collection. If that is not a statement of intent for pseudo-sovereignty, I do not know what is. Just imagine the limitless capability for endless tea, biscuits and "travel expenses" that will occur when each Region fights over the divvying up of the revenue stream and to discuss, co-ordinate, liaise and fact find. Not to mention cover their arses over "safeguarding".

Not everyone is happy over the plans, however.

I suspect some Soviets Regions will be demanding the transfer of revenue from one place to another and will haggle like crazy to form a clique with other parasitical Regions to push through deal after deal.

And we get some classic doublethink and unreason from the Harridan herself:
Commons leader Harriet Harman said the committees would "plug the accountability gap" and improve the scrutiny of regional health and economic development bodies with huge annual budgets.
Yes, Harriet, there was risk of some accountability, so you have plugged it up for good by giving these odious synthetic geographies credibility they have done NOTHING to deserve. Note how she mentions "huge annual budgets". Well, who gave them that huge annual budget without accountability, then, Harriet? What on EARTH do they provide, in reality? If you want to resolve the "accountability gap" and deal with "huge annual budgets" then CLOSE THE SCUMBAGS DOWN. Simple. And before anyone says anything, they will NOT be missed.

I did not agree to this treason, for that is what it is.

One day this government will get its Ceauşescu Moment.

Italy and the Euro

Talk grows about the Euro membership. Not just from various "Childcatchers" wanting to entice Fatty Brown into the cage, but also from others hinting that Italy's place may be under question.

It is unlikely that Italy will jump - it cannot afford to and the likelihood would be that the Lira, the Millelira, more like, will be worthless and the Euro would operate as a de facto second currency...not that I have anything against multiple currencies, mind. In fact the fate of the Italians shows that having multiple currencies around would help to ensure Governments keep their printing presses silent unless they need to replace worn out notes or keep pace with economic expansion to prevent deflationary pressures at bay.

It is unlikely that Italy will be kicked out, either. The preening peacocks of the EU would not want to have that happen. Italy, for all its faults, is no small ravioli in economic terms. One of the largest economies in the world, in fact, and not without good reason.

Nope, my guess is that Italy will be subjected to a humiliation. It's Treasury will be disenfranchised and forced to hand over the keys to the cookie jar. No more bond issues without ECB say so, for example. It will remove one of the last aspects of Sovereignty, that of monetary policy, even under the Euro. If it happens, Italy will become truly a province of the Empire. The irony in this happening to Italy of all countries, given the EU and its DNA, is immense.

Such an event will be a warning to all the other Treasuries in the Empire Union. I suspect that behind the scenes the ECB and their cronies will clamp shackles around the ankles of all the Finance Ministers and tug the chain to make sure they know who is boss. Italy will be in a Cangue for all to see, pour encourager les autres, but the de facto situation will be the same for all members. Loss of fiscal sovereignty, as if they had much to start with.

I hope this happens soon and before Gordon Brown gets any more ideas about joining this rancid clique that is the Eurozone, but even then I doubt it will bother the Marxist one jot. For if The Great Protector brings the UK into the Euro, he, personally, will not suffer. No, quite the reverse. He will get a very nice role, even head of the ECB, for his pains. He will be safe, secure and comfy right into retirement and beyond.

EU: Out of Control

A very nice video explaining how the EU, far from helping the environment, is a major force in damaging the environment of Britain.

Our environment, food prices and energy are under pressure.

Our energy independence has been severely reduced, yet the EU does not care, for it controls our energy policy these days, thanks to the treason of our politicians. The EU does not care if the UK is not energy independent or even "not dependent". Far from it, I suspect, as a country that cannot keep its own lights on is easy to manipulate.

The EU is not our friend, it is an usurper.

Gordon Brown: As unpopular as Neville Chamberlain.

So reports The Telegraph this morning.

Neville Chamberlain signed away the sovereignty of another country, which is bad enough. Gordon Brown has signed away the sovereignty of his own, OUR, country. This makes him more than unpopular. More than incompetent. It makes Gordon Brown a traitor by design, something you could not level at Neville.

In the name of God, GO!

An elephant has migrated into the room

We have seemingly sensible words by worthies on the topic of immigration, but they appear to ignore the elephant in the room, that of EU immigration. The article as presented by The Times appears disingenuous, intentionally mumble-swerving around the actual issue and pretending that the initiative addresses the core problem. People, including ethnic minorities, have concerns over uncontrolled mass immigration, yet the report only focuses on non-EU immigration, for that is the only area that the UK now has control over, having LOST sovereignty in EU immigration to Brussels. The Times appears to have abdicated, capitulated, is appeasing or outright agrees with this situation.

What is more scandalous is the report is from a body chaired by Nicholas Soames, MP and Frank Field, MP who should know better and use it to make a stink about the lack of control over the UK's borders brought about by the EU.

Uncontrolled immigration plus welfare state = trouble. Of  course, the Federasts want the EU superstate so it is just a "temporary aberration". Well, I was not asked and I am sure the EUdenrat has no intention of asking for it knows what people will say - they will say NO.

The UK needs to restore its sovereignty, restore the relationship with Europe to a healthy, open and sustainable level - that of trading partner for mutual benefit, not a master-slave relationship with control ceded to Brussels. Our MPs and Parliament have NO authority to cede sovereignty to another power, yet they have done it. There exists in English a word for such behaviour: Treason.

The Loss of Sovereignty marches forward: EU Court Rulings

Traitors from Britain have supported this scandalous move whereby foreign courts can try us in absentia AND that extradition is AUTOMATIC.

The combination is very potent and an utter outrage, rendering our courts subordinate and drawing ultimate sovereignty and power to the European level - of course the plan.

I can imagine Federasts from France or Germany proposing such nonsense, or even in Il Duce II*'s Italy. This clearly shows that our administration is infested by lickspittle self-loathers who have absolutely no idea what our freedoms are or why they ever existed. The other alternative is that these traitors are intentionally undermining our system so it can fit into the EUdenrat.

When are these shaved gibbons going to realise that the legal system is there for the protection of the people NOT the convenience of the State!

UPDATE: It seems that our Attorney General, Baroness Scotland has supported the move. No surprise coming from one of my top Traitors (see right). It is an outrage that we have such imbeciles/traitors** in our midst.
