Pearl Inked Thank You

I've blended some pastel pinks and blues over some shimmery pearlescent white card using my blending brushes and then layered a hearts die in the same pearl white card on top.  The sentiment is cut using a die which I've outlined using my Silhouette. It's all layered onto some of my favourite purple card and a slimline cardbase.

Thank You Bunny

I've recently had the chance to play with the new Alphabet Bunny Bundle (images and papers) from Amanda Jayne Designs which I've used to create this Thank You card.

I've coloured the lettering with metallic gel pens and layered it onto some pretty blue papers.

Thank You Bear

A little Thank You card featuring this adorable teddy bear and butterflies.

I've foiled the text in lime green to match the greens in the image and added a die cut butterfly to complement the butterflies in the papers.  Other than that, it's a simple layout and fairly flat for posting.

Colorado Mice

I've made a set of sweet cards using a stamp set from Colorado Craft called Tea Time Fun. I've stamped and watercoloured the image, and then matted it onto alternating layers of nude pink, white and fuschia pink coloured card.

The sentiment is die cut, but I've used my Silhouette cutting machine to create a double shadow using the same card colours around the text.

Water-coloured on Langton Watercolour paper with Ranger Distress Ink Reinkers:

  • Fur: Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Tattered Rose
  • Browns: Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo

Thank You Kitten

I love this adorable kitty from Lee Holland.  I've given him full focus and framed him on a simple card with a stencilled background and die cut sentiment.  I've die cut the image with a double stitched square die for some texture and colour-coordinated everything in tones of purples and blues.

Panda Sleeping on Blossom

I'm sharing the 4th in my set of 'thank you' cards, this one featuring Panda Sleeping on Blossom.

He's watercoloured using Distress Ink reinkers with a cloud stencil background and typed sentiment.

As with the previous cards, I've doodled around the edge of the patterned papers to give it a frame.

Water-coloured on Langton Watercolour paper with Ranger Distress Ink Reinkers:
  • Panda:  Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Tattered Rose
  • Greens: Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Forest Moss

Cute Raccoon

I've added a third card to yesterday's 'thank you' set, using another of my recent purchases from Lee Holland's Etsy site.  I've watercoloured my image as usual, using Distress Ink reinkers, and added some background with a stencil.  There are some more details on how I created the layout on yesterday's post as the cards are essentially the same, so they create a matching set.

Water-coloured on Langton Watercolour paper with Ranger Distress Ink Reinkers:

  • Raccoon: Tattered Rose, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
  • Grass: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss

Badger-tastic

There are some new images over at Lee Holland's Etsy site and I couldn't resist a couple of these cute woodland badgers for a matching pair of 'thank you' cards.

I watercoloured the images using Distress Ink reinkers, and added some background with a stencil and my blender brushes.  I added a typed sentiment using my new favourite font called 'hello' and die cut the images with a scalloped die. The die was actually a square, but I chopped away a segment to make it a rectangle, and covered the join with the ribbon!

I used my Silhouette to create a burgundy frame for the image panel which was a couple of millimetres bigger, before matting it onto soft blue patterned paper.  Finally I doodled a stitched and solid line around the edge to finish it off.  I resisted from adding some 3D elements to ensure they wouldn't cost too much to mail because I intend to gift them to someone as a mini-notelet set.

Water-coloured on Langton Watercolour paper with Ranger Distress Ink Reinkers:

  • Badgers: Tattered Rose, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
  • Grass: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss
  • Sky: Tumbled Glass

I've made a sweet Thank You card using Maisie Mouse Sending Wishes and some papers from the Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 3 Bundle.  I thought it looked like sweet little Maisie was writing out a thank you card herself!

New Year Thanks

We're giving thanks for the New Year at As You Like It Challenge this fortnight and want to see your Thank You creations.  My card has been made as a small token of thanks to a special friend, without whom I would be lost.

I've only recently 'found' these gorgeous stamps from Tracey Hey of Alpaca Pals. This is the first one I've shared, but I have 3 sets now which I hope to ink up soon. I've used a grey ink pad for a lighter look.

In contrast, I've dug out these stitched rounded square 'inside-out' dies that I've have not used for years. They were right at the bottom of a pile of items that I was considering de-cluttering, but when I picked them up I decided I wanted to use them again!  It's funny how our tastes change over time, but then revert back again sometimes!

Hug with a Fold

I love the sentiment of this card, and I've teamed it up with an image which seems to complement it.  The kitty resembles my furbaby, 'JB', both in colour and naughtiness!

Best Gifts

We're talking stitching at As You Like It Challenge this time, and although I really love real stitching on cards, it's so much simpler and neater to use stitched dies to apply a bit of texture and interest. I've opted for a curved and straight stitched die edging for my image panel although looking through my dies, a large proportion of them are stitched to some degree!  This card was made for my "bestest buddy", but she's received it now so it's safe to share.

Water-coloured on Langton Watercolour paper with Ranger Distress Ink Reinkers:

  • Hair: Antique Linen, Scattered Straw, Brushed Corduroy

  • Oranges: Fossilised Amber, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge

Honey Pot Thanks

I love this stamp set from W Plus 9. The bears remind me of a certain 'silly old bear' and I've used two different bears from the set along with the log, beehive (hanging from the tree) and a worried bee!  It's a simple card layout with just a die cut border and sentiment.

Thank you for being you

I knew I had to get my paws on this little lady as soon as I saw her in the sneak peeks.  She's Sweet Pea from Stamping Bella and she was one of my immediate favourites from the last release.  I have teamed her with some pretty Maja Design papers which, by luck more than judgement, are the perfect match in shade without overpowering the image.  The card was for a very special friend for whom I think the sentiment was perfectly written. :0)

Thank You

Like most of us, I was excited to use a few of my new craft items and I've have managed to combine a couple of them into some large tag shaped cards.

I fell in love with these oversized Crealies stitched tag dies as soon as I opened them. They were a Xmas present from a lovely blog pal who I won't name in case she's shy, (but thank you sweetie).

I've used them to showcase my new Lili of the Valley critters from the newly released trios sets. There are 4 nesting tags in the set and this is the second smallest.  I thought they could also be used for bookmarks as well as standard tags, but these ones are folded into standing cards.

I've decorated my first tag with some gorgeous satin ribbon, flowers and pearls from The Ribbon Girl, and kept the second one flat so that it can maybe double up as a keepsake bookmark.

Thank You Owl

Today's card is a little 'thank you' card with a love theme I've made to give to a friend as an RSVP for a wedding invitation.  I've used an adorable little owl image and typed sentiment. I think he's perfect for this theme. I hope you like him too. :0)
