Thinking of You

I've got a really quick and simple card to share today, using one of my few House Mouse stamps. I like this image because it's perfect for so many different themes. This time, it's a 'thinking of you' card, and I've typed the sentiment in pale grey and coloured over it with a marker.

Run along

I've been quite taken by some of the little House Mouse images I've seen in blogland but have never really tried them much myself, so I decided to rectify that with a little cutie House Mouse Carrying Mints. He looks like he's in a bit of a hurry!

I've used my new favourite word die again, Happy Wishes by Wplus9 which I'm really fond of at the moment. I hope you like it.  :0)

Everyone needs a friend like you

Today I'm sharing a card I made for a lovely friend's birthday.  She's opened it now so I'm safe to share, and I must say that I rather liked it (and kinda wanted to keep it - but she's a very special friend so I'm happy that it's gone to a good home).  I've used Confetti Mouse from My Mum's Craft Shop and water-coloured it with a mix of DI reinkers and Sakura Stardust Gel pens for some sparkle on the confetti and banner.

Here's a close up (sorry it's a bit blurred but I didn't realise this until I'd sent her the card) to show the sparkle of the gel pens.

House Mouse Notepad

My husband asked me for a scrap paper to make some notes so I decided to make him a notepad. I cut up some A4 paper into quarters and added a cover, binding it together with my Zutter binding machine. I used brass coloured wires to match the natural colour combo, and used a sweet little House Mouse image which matches the note theme. Ironically the papers are from Lili of the Valley's Country Lady pad (now retired) but I've used them more for masculine themed projects as they're neutral colours rather than lots of pinks and purples.  He seemed quite pleased with it. Hopefully now I'll stop finding his scribblings all over used envelopes, the corners of the newspaper and folded up bits of printer paper.

I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday where the new challenge starts today.  Here's the sketch which I rotated anti-clockwise:
