Lighting Up

I've made another 'tag' style card as I am really liking the C&S style at the moment.  This one's a Christmas card, featuring Bildmalarna Mimosa Lighting Up.  I've popped a variety of die cut snowflakes behind the tag, and some little rhinestones in the corner.  This one's been kept fairly flat, so it shouldn't cost a fortune to mail.

Waiting for Santa

It's another Christmas card from me today (hubby already thinks we've got Christmas cards coming out of our ears), and I've kept the design really simple.

I've returned to my (current) favourite Christmas pad, First Edition's Silent Night, and a die that I'm really loving at the moment too, Cottage Cutz Holly Border.  I finished my card off with a few pearls, and an array of white flowers, stamens and pearl strings.

The image is matted onto silver mirri card, but it actually looks black in the photo as it's hard to get a good photo of the mirri card.  :0(

Skiing

My card for The Stamp Basket today returns to a Christmas theme, with some gorgeous new gold backing papers from Bo Bunny.  I've contrasted them with a rich forest green satin ribbon, a green button and some embroidery thread.

Chocolate cake, anyone?

Today's card is using my Wild Rose Studio Vintage Rose papers again (I'm really loving this pad).  The ribbon is also a gorgeous chocolate brown, but it looks kind of black in the photo.  :0(

I messed up cutting out the image as a circle panel, so ended up fussy-cutting out the image and layering it directly on the chocolate brown panel so that it popped out of the card.

'Sew' many layers!

I'm so glad it's the weekend again, and not only that, but there's only one more week until Easter too.

Today's card features Bildmalarna 'Your Birthday' but the image is quite large, so I've cut her out and only used part of the image.  It's really versatile, but the girl and bird seemed to be looking at something (which of course is the bear in the full picture) so I cut out the present that the bear was holding, and put it on the ground for them to look at instead!  The sewing was a challenge in itself on this project.  I tried to get it really close to the edges as there were so many small panels, and I got there in the end.

I've streaked the fence die with various shades of brown marker pen to make it look like woodgrain.

Snowflakes

Another Stamp Basket creation today and I'm sticking to the traditional Chrimbo colours. I've also used a gorgeous new die called Ornaments Border Die from Whimsy.  I've cut it out in both red and white, and then pushed out the centres of each and swapped them over, so that the white centres are in the red border (look out next week for the reverse colours!!! LOL).

I've also used the white pompom trim again. I've seen it around other people's cards quite a bit this Christmas and it is lovely.
