Nail Polish of the week: ORLY - Lunar Eclipse

ORLY - Nagellack Lunar Eclipse
Lunar Eclipse is an expressive, radiant nail polish in Cobalt Blue and comes like Halleys Comet (for more information please see my Blog posting) originally out of the Cosmic FX collection of ORLY. The Glitz is basically Silver and Blue. In the bottle it looks a bit like a Duo Chrome, but the effect is just lightly visible after appication.

The whole collection is absolut extraordinary because of its intense Glitz, easy to apply, dense and opaque and also with tons of Glitter very even on the surface!

My resumee: if you are a blue nail polish lover you should have a look on this colour - its an eyecatcher anyway!

Nail Polish of the Week: ORLY Halleys Comet

This week my desire to colour is very intense - I am freezing, because its lousy cold, so my body tells me he wants to have sunshine and warm water. And for me warm, beautiful water is - how surprising - Turquoise! So I picked up for this week this nail polish:

ORLY - Halleys Comet
The nail polish Halleys Comet of ORLY comes originally out of the Autumn Collection Cosmic FX 2010, but I like this shade all over the year! Its an amazing Turquoise with Green Glitz, is dense, easy to apply and a very vivid colour! Its already on my all-time-favourite-list!

There was also a very similar nail polish from OPI in the last summer: Catch Me In Your Net, but please compare and see yourself:

Comparison: left - OPI Catch Me In Your Net, right - ORLY Halleys Comet

On the nails they are perfect twins - you won't see which colour is on which nail! OPI was limited and is out of stock anyway, but ORLY is a perfect dupe!

So what about you - what you wear on your nails, if you dream about sun and heat?

Comparison: CHANEL Particuliere vs. Alternativen

Dear Reader - now I have had the time to swatch the trend colour from CHANEL with these beautiful alternate colours!

ORLY Prince Charming, CHANEL Particuliere, OPI Over The Taupe und OPI You Don't Know Jacques!

I swatched the nail polishes in two variations: artificial light and natural day light...

The details:

ORLY Prince Charming
is very close to Particuliere, just a hint brighter and cooler. Like always this ORLY polish is easy to apply, offers a good opacity and a normal drying time!

OPI Over the Taupe
is the shade which is closest to the Original - what is your opinion: Do you see any difference?

OPI You Don't Know Jacques!
is a bit darker and more greyish, but besides this a beautiful colour to wear the Taupe trend!

What do you think? Is CHANEL the very expensive price of almost 60 Euro on ebay worth or are the alternates as beautiful as the Original?
