Malibu Green and Konad

When I saw American Apparel's Malibu Green, I knew I had to Konad it!  It's been a long time since I did a Konad, so I hope you enjoy.
I used American Apparel Malibu Green as the base, Konad Plate m57, black Konad Polish, and Zoya Malia for the spots.

I really like this!  I have wanted to do this color combo Konad for a while.  Don't forget to get all of your Konad supplies at OC Nail Art!  Thanks for looking!

Halloween Inspired

Is everyone ready for Halloween?  I think I can safely say that I am.  My 4year old has been living in his costume since Sunday and he just might need a back up.  Since this is Halloween week, I have some Halloween inspired nail art for you.

I used 1 coat of OPI Heeeer's Jack! Topped that with 1 coat of Sinful Colors Serena and Chloe and then stamped with Konad plate M65 and special Konad polish in black

Konad M65 & Isla

My new Konad plates arrived today from OC Nail Art and I won a contest!  I won day 4 of Cinnamon Sticks 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways!  I seriously NEVER win, I mean NEVER!  So this is a fabulous suprise and what a great blog and Etsy shop.  You really must check out Cinnamon Sticks shop on Etsy.  Really cute and whimsical goodies.

On to the Konad...
I used my new M65 and I tried Wet N' Wild black for the stamping.  It worked!  Not nearly as messy as the black special polish from Konad.  I am not overly happy with this design, I think the Zoya Isla is too powerful and pretty of a color for Konad.  Maybe next time I'll try silver or white to stamp with.

That's all for now, I am hoping to finally get to my Eyeko polishes in the morning.  Sweet dreams!

Saturday Morning Konad

I did this last night while I was not-so patiently waiting for my Zoya order (UPS didn't show up until 8:30pm!!!).  I used China Glaze B-Girlz (2 coats), my second favorite plate-M64, and Konad Black Pearl pecial polish.  I am not much of a bright pink gal, but I love this!

Noctunal & Konad

I am really into animal prints and I would love a snake skin Konad image.  But, since it doesn't exist(as far as I know), I used my favorite plate, M57 with Color Club Revvvolution over Wet n Wild Nocturnal.  Kind-of-sort-of snake skin, don't you think???

As always, OC NAIL ART is the place to shop for your Konad and don't forget about the 30% discount, naildpolishd, at check out!

Delilah and Konad

I really don't want to take Delilah off, but I have a bunch of swatching to do, and now I really don't want to take it off. I love this Konad plate. If don't have it, get it! Plate M57 has 3 full nail image (cheetah, zebra, & fishnet), 3 flowers, and 2 lacey bands. I used the zebra image with the Konad Gold Black Princess Special Polish and Konad clear top coat all over Zoya Delilah.

Reclaim & Konad

Since Reclaim still looks great on my nails, I thought I try out my newest Konad plate, M48. It has Las Vegas/casino/gambling symbols. I bought it for the cherries. It is the only plate they have with cherries. The images are a little bigger than most of the images on the other plates I have. I used Konad special polish in dark purple.

Konad for the little ones

Ever since I discovered Konad, my daughter is constantly begging me to do her nails. She's 10 and she has little nails. It's a little more difficult when stamping little nails, but not impossible. The designs that I have the best luck with are the small flowers, bows, or just using a portion of a larger design. I also highly recommend the double ended stamper. The smaller end is much easier to use on little nails. Another quick tip for when you are doing someone elses nails, is to prepare the image plate upside down and pick up the image upside down. That way you don't have to fiddle with it before you transfer it.

With keeping with my green theme, I chose Misa The Grass is Green on My Side, Cool Red Konad Princess Polish and plate #7. And in true Miss D fashion, she didn't like it and so the 2nd picture is Nubar Hollywood Pink, Konad White, and S9.
