ZigZag Stripes : Picture Polish Fools gold swatch

Another pretty polish swatched and off my untried list.
This one is Picture Polish Fool's Gold.

Base: Picture Polish Fool's Gold
Design using nail vinyls with Picture Polish Allure (this is is my go to shade for vinyls..goes opaque in one stroke and easy to peel off the vinyls..doesnt get stringy and drag other stuff around)
All topped with HKgirl

Here's a swatch of Picture Polish Fool's Gold
Its a bright turquoise with gold glitter and flecks. Goes opaque in 3 coats. Dries fast.
I didnt need to use the foil method to remove this. Just had to soak cotton pads in remover and dab on a bit longer.
Really loved this shade! Happy I got it after lemming for ages about it.

Sandy Matt Purple + Rhinestones Nail Art

By now you probably know that purple is my fav-ever colour. If not then you know now anyways :p
Of course my friends think I have everything purple in an overdose while I think I still need some more purple in my life. This one polish just reminds me how everything else would look soooo nice if it were purple. Hmmm...purple water or hmmmm..purple beaches/sands!! <3 p="p">

And I have got more sandy matt spam to show today!!
This polish makes it just easy to imagine a beach full of clean shimmering lilac sand! Sighhh.

Base: Purple/Lilac Sandy Matt Polish
The pic shows more shine than there actually is coz I was photographing right in front on an evening sun and this being a light shade really caught on the shine. The first pic above is a more close swatch of this polish.
I added stripes in Black, white and pink at one corner free handed. My hand was shaky!
Then I added flower shaped rhinestones in red for the accent. Though they didnt stick around more than a day coz I am real fidgety with these things. But they looked very pretty while they were there.

Hope you like these sandy matts! I am totally in loooove with these.
Click here to see more of the sandy matt polishes I have used earlier.
Still have a few more shades to show ya.

▓▒▓▒ Patchwork Quilt ▓▒▓▒

Hello Fellow Nail-bees!!
Ok First up! My blog has a 100 followers!!!
(Goes off to dance!)
 Yeaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
Do keep a watch for my Mighty giveaway!
Coming back to my post for today: Winter is setting in (except for Mumbai) and it reminds of a patchwork quilt I used to have as a child that I would snuggle into.
Today I am showing you a mani which I fell in love with instantly when I saw it on a blog. Also I have been doing alot of lot of stamping lately so I decided I should try some free hand and this weave pattern came to my mind first. Its quite easy as it only involves drawing lines.
I did this using a 2-way nail art pen in pink and white colour. One side is a small pen like point and other side is a long striping brush. Initially I tried using the pen side, but the colours wouldnt flow smoothly, So I used the other side and it applied perfectly in a single stroke.

It may look complicated, but is not so much.  Start with diagonal stripes half way down the nail in alternate colours with stripes as close to each other as possible. Only one needs a little patience when filling in the overlaps with the right colour to make a proper weave design.
