I'm Joining the DT of Beautiful Blossoms Challenge, Woot Woot!

Hi friends!

Today I have some fun news to share... I'm joining the talented design team of Beautiful Blossoms Challenge! I'm looking forward getting more use for my floral crafting stash because you believe me... I have plenty of it lol!

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge gives you always two choices to join: either Anything Floral Goes OR you can draw inspiration from the inspiration photo provided. It's a monthly challenge running always from the 15th of every month to the 12th of the next month. I hope to see you all blogland buddies joining!

My first DT card for the challenge does take inspiration from the photo. I love the blue and white vase on it and I knew exactly which die to use for this challenge after seeing the photo... The Regal Blooms by Spellbinders. I hadn't used it yet and this was the perfect opportunity!

The sentiments come from February My Monthly Hero kit by Heroarts. This has been one of my favorite kits from the spring and not only for the sentiment stamp set that is super easy to combine to all kinds of projects!

The frame die is an oldie from my stash, unfortunately the packaging is long gone so I don't know the brand. Same applies with the patterned papers lol!

I hope to see you joining our challenge, either with your card inspired by the photo or with your anything floral goes project. There's plenty of more design team inspiration, link tool for your projects and all the challenge details available HERE

With my card I'd like to join:

A Cut Above Challenge: Anything Die Cut Goes
Allsorts Challenge: Anything Goes

Card for Challenges

Hi friends!

Ever since I saw the Spellbinders Regal Pair die and other products in the Regal product line... I was obsessed and had to have them! :) I love the antique ceramic dog statues like this and I even own a pair of Staffordshire dog figurines that I keep by my living room window. The Regal Lattice 3d embossing folder is stunning as well so of course that went to cart too... And I'm very happy with my purchases!

I used patterned papers from my stash that had a vintage feel and coherent color palette for making the background and the figurines. The shiny parts I cut from copper card stock and ended up heat embossing the sentiment with copper embossing powder as well.

If you are interested in how I created the look for the background, this is what I did:

After dry embossing the folder I took white pigment ink and carefully rubbed and swiped it on the raised areas. I let it dry overnight and on the next day I did the same but with shimmery gold ink. I finished the background with coppery gold paint splatters.

I'd like to join these challenges:

Just Us Girls: Embossing

Crafting A Cut Above: Anything Goes
613 Avenue Creates: Anything Goes
Allsorts Challenge: Anything Goes

NBUS Challenge: Challenge #84, all dies and the embossing folder are brand new to me!

Thank you for popping by and I hope you enjoy my vintage dog statues!

Have You Noticed Spellbinders Has a New Monthly Challenge?

Hi friends!

Have you noticed there's a new challenge in blogland? Spellbinders is trying out a monthly challenge, very exciting! The theme for January is Glam, Foil and Shine. You'll find the challenge HERE

I've used a bunch of Spellbinders products in my card:

Damask 3d Embossing Folder for the background
Gifting Bow Etched Dies for the Ribbon, Bow and Floral dies

I started this card by dry embossing a piece of gold cardstock with the Damask 3d folder that I had inked with watermark ink. My inking had been so heavy that it was a bit all over the card stock... So when I sprinkled gold embossing powder on top, the whole embossed piece got covered, oops! However after heating it this treatment made the piece look like a metal plate or something so I kept going.

I then wiped some white pigment ink on the raised areas and sprinkled clear embssing glitter on top. After heating that powder some of the sparkles showed up pink and blue (if you enlarge the photo, you'll see it better). That made me choose a very pastel and light color scheme for the rest of the card. The ribbon and bow I did cut from gold mirror card to bring even more shine to my project!

I'd also like to join:
Time Out Challenges: All That Glitters
A Cut Above Challenge: Anything Goes

...and you'll also find me joining the January Simon Says Challenge in Instagram.

Thank you for popping by!

Merry Christmas!

Hi friends!

Christmas Eve is just around the corner... So it's a good time to share a card I made with a flower die cut Yana's Amaryllis by Spellbinders. This flower is is so pretty... And you can add color to it in various ways. I chose to Copic color the petals and then glue the "frame" part of the flower on top so it has nice dimension too. I love how this turned out! I've used several Spellbinders products in my card:

Yana's Amaryllis flower die On sale right now!
Gifting Bow dies (for the sentiment)

I'd like to play along in these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Sparkle and Shine (shine from the gold card!)
Die Cut Divas Challenge: Christmas/winter
Allsorts Challenge: Anything Goes
The Flower Challenge: Use Christmas Florals

Thank you for popping by and Merry Christmas, everyone!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge at Inkspirational, a nice an easy Clean And Simple challenge! We have an option for flowers... but Anything CAS goes!

I decided to play with the new dies from Spellbinders Autumn Archives Collection by Kelly Bangs. There's two sets used in this card:

I've inked the leaves with various Altenew inks, the stems I simply cut from brown card. For a nice CAS layout I scored two lines to the card base to place my little tag on. The "ribbon" in my tag is not actually ribbon, it's a piece of golden card I've folded to look like ribbon or piece of fabric/thread.

Do head on over to Inkspirational for all the challenge details, linky for your projects and lots of more DT inspiration! I hope to see you playing along!

More Inspiration with Spellbinders Say Cheese Classic Mouse Collection!

Hello friends!

I'm back with more inspiration with the Say Cheese Classic Mouse Collection by Spellbinders! Click the link below to view the whole fun collection:

I've made two pretty clean and simple cards in classic Maritime colors combining red, navy and light blue. I'd love to hear which one of this cards is your favorite! Both are quick makes with simple die cutting, no coloring, inking, no nothing! :)

Card 1 featuring

I love the fresh look I was able to achieve with these border dies... Quite perfect for a masculine card or for anyone who loves sea, seaside or sailing!

With this card (card no 1) I'd like to join:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Vacation (seaside vacation)

Card 2 featuring

I love the way Mickey's cute little face fits perfectly to the frame die that also has the sentiment.. Such a cute, perfect quick card with die cutting to make! I used the Bamboo screen embossing folder (also new in July) because I thought that in this context the knots looked like knots in a sailboat robe. :)

With this card (card 2) I'm joining:
A cut above challenge: Anything Goes

Thank you for popping by and I hope you like what I made!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational and this time I had the honors of choosing our theme. I chose "Make Your Mark" -we want to see you adding color to your stamped images or die cuts with markers, water color, pencils, inks... Lots of options. For example coloring stencils will do too or inking your die cuts for added dimension.

I chose the good old "coloring stamped images with markers" and colored in a cute Waffle Flower flower with Copics and colored pencils. I found a dry embossed panel from my stash and used that as a base for the fanel.. And stamped a sentiment by Garden Favorites sentiments by Spellbinders. I thought this sentiment matched the large flower well. I kept my card pretty CAS this time!

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

I'd like to join:

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hello friends!
We are back with a new challenge at Time Out Challenges and this time we challenge you to be Magical!

There's many many ways how to interpret this challenge. Our DT and guest designer Carol have made fabulous samples for you -don't miss them or any of the challenge details, click HERE

The winner of our challenge gets called to guest design in a future challenge and also wins a generous $25 gift card to Picket Fence Studios

I was in need of a card for a new baby... I don't often make baby cards and don't really have stamps and dies that are specifically for babies... But I think this unicorn stamp from Avery Elle worked quite well (and unicorns are certainly magical too!). I combined it with some patterned paper from my stash and gave the image some color with Copics and LOTS of sparkle with Stickles. Love how it turned out! I've had this arch die from Spellbinders for some months now and I seem to use it every second card that I make... I really love it!

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Time Out!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at INKspirational!  This time we want you to be inspired by a very fun moodboard, here it is:

Here's my card:

I was inspired by "You are Cool" text and also of the flowers in the middle of the moodboard. I had received this patterned paper and card topper as a freebie with a crafty supplies order from a Finnish web shop... And I think they go perfectly with the moodboard! The flowers are Sunburst Azalea dies by Altenew. I chose the leaves from another Altenew flower set, Belllower, I like the shape of them better. :) The arched rectangle die is a new product for me, by Spellbinders... I've seen so much of this arches everywhere that I had to jump in and by a die for myself too. Love it!!

I'd like to join:
(flowers all all cut from scrap pieces of card stock)

(spring is all about flowers, right!)

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

New Post at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a beautiful pastel colored moodboard for you at Inkspirational for the next two weeks. Make sure to check out all the DT inspiration and challenge details HERE and then play along!

I decided to work with the peonies of the first photo and also the "frilly edge" of the cake plate in the second photo. My background stamping is also inspired by the pattern in the first photo -I didn't have any swirl stamps to play with so I chose something else but I did want to make a subtle background like in the photo!

The peony stamp is by Newton's Nook. "Frilly edge" die by Marianne design. Sentiment is by Spellbinders and background stamp is by the Ton. I used white pearl embossing powder for the background, love the look! It's beautifully shiny and shimmery IRL. The peonies are colored with Altenew Woodless coloring pencils.

I hope to see you joining us!

Card for Challenges

 Hi friends!

I'm here with a quick post to share a card I made some challenges in mind. I was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches  and the new challenge at  The Flower Challenge is to use your latest stash. This is my first time using the amazing Spellbinder dies I eyed for months before buying them before Christmas... And now it's the first time they saw some card stock! Therefore sharing also at NBUS Challenge #47. The blue color palette is inspired by Simon Says Stamp Instagram Challenge. Also sharing at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge with the love theme. Allsorts challenge is an AG challenge with an "I love..."-option. This is an "I love you"-type of card! :)

The sentiment stamp is by SSS and the plaid paper is by Lawn Fawn. Hope you like and thank you for popping by!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Happy New Year 2023!

We are beginning the year 2023 at Time Out with a fun, cute challenge -we challenge you to be Romantic. This is the first challenge where we have all of our new DT members joining us -head on over to the challenge blog for lots of DT inspiration and all the challenge details.

In my card I've created a cutesy romantic scene with stamps by our sponsor Jane's Doodle'sJane's Doodles is run by artist Jane Beljo and the store is located in Zagreb, Croatia. Their high quality stamps are made in UK and USA. Jane's Doodles ships worldwide with very reasonable shipping prices and also sells digital images. Make sure to check out Jane's Doodles if you are not yet familiar with the brand!

Sentiment stamp by Spellbinders, the maker of the die I've unfortunately forgotten and lost the original packaging. :) I've also used a little woodgrain stamp for the floor -by Prima if I remember right. Again no original packaging left, the stamp is years and years old!

The scene is colored with Copics. I've added some white gel pen and paint splatters for additional interest.

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a fun new challenge for you at Inkspirational, a photo inkspiration challenge:

The photo can lead you to many direction from using lamps, circles or feathers to simply following the color palette of the photo. I went with colors and feathers...  And circles too! :) The focal point of my card is a wonderful dream catcher die cut (Spellbinders) which I cut both from pale gold and white card and added the white feathers to the golden piece. I used a W+9 die for making layers for my card -I don't really know why I wanted my card to have so many layers, I normally tend to be so CAS these days, but I do love this card and all the dimension it has (yep, fun foam and other 3d adhesive was used too). The sentiment (Freshly Squeezed Stamps, unfortunately not in business anymore) is heat embossed with gold, I think it fits the dream catcher pretty well.

Now it's your turn to show us where the photo leads you! Click HERE for more DT inspiration. Happy crafting!
