Dragonfly & Costus

The Costus plant that I bought from Sg. Buluh a few months ago has grown beautifully and produced some blooms. I was so delighted to see a little dragonfly dancing on one of the bloom.

Without hesitation, I rushed into the house and grabbed my ever-ready camera for such special occasion. Lucky for me that this little visitor stayed on and posed, allowing me to take as many shots as I like.

Oh, you don't know happy I was to have such obedient model to pose for me. Usually I am made to chase after the insects in my garden in order to capture their photos for this blog. They would never stay still. It's already a challenge for an amateur photography enthusiast like me to capture sharp shots! But those insects, they would flit, float and fly in order to throw more challenges into my direction. However, when the photos of the insects turned out beautifully, those chasing arounds were really worthwhile! Just like those photos that I got below for you!

Here are the photos of the beautiful dragonfly against my vibrant-coloured Costus bloom.

Lady Bird Paid A Visit

A beautiful visitor pop by my garden this week! A beautiful lady, indeed!

This elegant lady bird paid my garden a visit on a recent morning! It was having fun crawling on my mulberry leaf. The moment I sighted it, instantly I rushed for my camera. Hope you like it.

Lady Butterfly Came for Breakfast

I am so glad that the rain has returned. For the last 2 days, we had rain in the middle of the night. My plants look lush and fresh again. I hope the scorching hot season would end soon.

This morning when I visited my garden, the plants greeted me happily as they had a long, cool shower last nite. I also had a few butterflies fluttering and dancing away in my garden. Their dances bring joy not only to me but also to my beautiful blooms. Those blooms were swaying away happily as the breeze blew across them. Their sways were accompanied by the melody performed by the chirping of birds. It seems like the whole world was rejoicing that the rain has finally arrived!

Today's photo is of a beautiful orange Lady Butterfly that visited my garden this morning for her breakfast, I assume, hee...hee... I first caught sight of her when she was hanging upside down on my Wrightia Religiosa flower. She looked like she was hanging on a trapeze. I hope to see Lady Butterfly in my garden more often. She is so beautiful and elegant! Hope you woould think the same too.

A Visitor

I had a visit by Mr. Hopper today. Upon reaching home, I saw this huge grasshopper on my plumeria leaf. It's really huge. I don't know if it is feasting on my plant but this visitor is one of the biggest that I have seen in my garden.
