Power Poppy April Blog Hop

It's release day....
It's Release day...YIPPY.  All of Power Poppy sets are available for purchase today. You can find them all HERE

For release day we get to choose whichever set we would like and today I chose Lilac Time. It is so pretty.  Lilacs and lemons all set off by a beautiful vase.  I colored up my image with Copic markers.  It fit perfectly inside my Spellbinders circle die.  Then I stitched and used the larger lilac stamp for my background panel.  Hope you have enjoyed this month's release sets.  I love them all.

Daffodils

March's digital release from Power Poppy was a beautiful Daffodil arrangement. Well this month it gets even better.  Check this bouquet out.  The only thing that could be better than this is if it were literally in my garden.  The cold snap we had got all mine this year.

Not to worry though, as I can wishfully drool over these stamps.  It is so beautiful and a dream to color.  Check out the Power Poppy blog for all the details from Marcy.  This set will be available April 1st HERE.  I chose to keep my daffodils simple and lightly colored with oranges, yellows and greens.  I then colored my grape Hyacinths a deep purple.  It's a set full of encouraging sentiments also.

Simply Camelias

It's the second day of Power Poppies April Scents and Sensibility release.  Today we are showcasing the brand new set called Simply Camellias.  It will be available in the Power Poppy store HERE on April 1st.  That is just two very short days away.

For my card today I kept it very simple.  I feel like Marcella's images don't need a lot of pizazz as they speak for themselves.  I colored with all my R 80 Copics and then added some R24, 27 to the centers.  Lots of white layers.  I love, love did I say love the font Marcella used for the sentiments in this set.

Now won't you please hop on over to the other Bloom Brigade blogs and check out there drool worthy creations:

Happy Birthday Power Poppy Hop

Can you believe it has been a year since Marcella took a huge leap of faith and started to share her dreams and talent with all of the world.  Today we are celebrating that one year mark with a huge bash Marcy style.  The design team has created some surprise  eye candy just for Marcy and all of you to honor this big day.  For my card today I chose this awesomely adorable set called Short Stacks.  It is available over at Power Poppy HERE.

One of the things I love the most about all of this is that it is a surprise for Marcy and you all get to join in.
We were each to write a personal message telling Marcy how much we adore her.  She is so easy to love.  Her nature is the kindest of the kind.  So here is my little note to her:

Ms Marcy:

From the  bottom of my heart thank you so much for bringing me along on your journey this last year.  I know this was a dream come true for you and we are all so proud of you.  You work so hard and it shows.  You have mind blowing talent but what is really neat is your heart is so full of love.  It has been amazing to look through the windows of your soul when you share all the posts.  Your style and unique images are at the top of the class in the stamping community.  You bring a flower to life when you create.  I really enjoy finding out all about what inspires you with each new stamp.  That is my favorite part about release week.  That inside look is what I think about when I am coloring up an image.  You make me want to plant every flower you create in my garden here in NC.  You have really opened up my eyes and educated me on all the fabulous plants and flowers that I didn't even know existed.  I think an artist that can not only create, but educate others, is what makes you really really talented and a notch above all others.  Going that extra step is always on your to do list.  May the next year bring you many wonderful and magically inspired moments.  I will be cheering you on and wishing you all the best.
hugs and much love,
Dawn

Now it's your turn to join in. We aren't giving away any details because we want you to head on over to the Power Poppy Blog for all the details HERE.  I will say that I heard there is a $100 prize just waiting for a winner:

The rest of the Bloom Brigade has joined in the celebrations.  Here is a list to all of their creations:

Dancing With Daffodils

It's time for another look at March's Instant Garden new release.  Marcella has wowed us with her image and then the Instant Garden design team presented it. Introducing Dancing With Daffodils.  It is available HERE for immediate stamping wonderfulness.  All of Power Poppy digital and clear stamps can be purchased HERE.

There is so much to love about this image.

Back in January Ally, being the superstar that she is, created a tutorial for Paper Toling.  You can find it here...Paper Tole.  I thought this was the perfect set to try out that technique.  I printed out my daffodils twice and carefully cut them out and popped them up.

I even slimmed up the cute little snail so he looked real by adding some diamond glaze and glitter to his little shell.

My own daffodils are amazing right now.  I hope they can withstand the harsh weather we are going to get. 80 one day and 40 the next.  Good thing they are hardy. If you would like you can check out the Power Poppy Pinterest Board HERE for more inspiration with this set.

The Earth Laughs in Flowers

I was totally inspired by Marcella's post last Thursday. What's in your windowsill? You can check it out here:  Power Poppy Blog

It reminded me that I that last fall I had planted some tulip bulbs in honor of my mom's birthday.  She would have been 72 so I planted 72 bulbs. I ventured out to see if they had poked through with all our warm weather here in NC.

Sure enough they are imerging.  I am so excited.  It is like she is reminding me that she is here.

I had a few extra so this graces my window sill. It is my hope that they will bloom by Easter.  Wouldn't that be so special.

I chose Power Poppies Tulip Set.  It is available for download upon purchase HERE.
I love this sentiment and thought it was perfect for my newly planted tulip garden.  It is from Power Poppies digital set called Geraniums.  It is available for purchase HERE.
Don't forget that there is a new challenge called Power and Spark and it is  over on the Power Poppy Blog.

Love You

THE SKY’S THE LIMIT CHALLENGE is the first in many monthly challenges intended to unleash your design power and light a creative spark. This month’s challenge is all about looking to the skies and being inspired by nature’s incredible color palette. You only have to look out the window to get started! AND, there are just 8 more days left, you have through February 28th to enter! For all the details on THIS MONTH’S CHALLENGE, just click HERE. Be sure to link up your creation after you get those fingers inky! Today is the final day to enter.

I chose this picture as my sky inspiration:

I had my kids all here for Thanksgiving..  We drove out by a pretty place on the lake as the sun was setting and shot this photo.  I love it.  It was a really special weekend. We don't get to see each other very often.

I took the hearts as my inspiration for my card for my sky creation.

I chose Power Poppies Big Script for my sentiment.  Then I added some stitching on my double punched hearts.  This paper is from the Carta Bella Words Of Love pad.  It is so pretty.  I have seen many cards like this on Pinterest and  had wanted to create one.  This set is so much fun.

French Lilacs In Full Bloom

Have you all seen the latest February digital release over at Power Poppy?  Just a little background on our new monthly digital releases. We call our new program the Instant Garden. Those of you who have been following Power Poppy for a while know that every so often Marcella would introduce digital sets, and really, ya’ll wanted a more predictable schedule for finding them in the shop, and you wanted MORE OF ’EM. Then, our clear stamp fans wanted to know that they, too, would still get their polymer fix. Ohhhh girls, we have you ALL COVERED, we’re doing the whole kit and kaboodle. Digis, clear stamps, and lots and lots of beauty, creativity, and all-around positivity from your Power Poppy HQ, the Bloom Brigade, and now joining us for the ride....THE INSTANT GARDENERS!
Some SERIOUS drooling going on over this team.

I printed my lilac onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  Then I cut it out so I could pop it up on my card.  I wanted my sentiment to match my lilacs.

So changed the color of the font on the sentiment that comes with this set.  Julie has a very detailed tutorial on how to do this over on the Power Poppy Blog Monday Tutorials.  This one is HERE.

This new set is available for immediate download over in the Power Poppy store:

I love to read.  This set is so sweet.  I always wanted a pet bird.  The closest I ever got was a pet chicken.  It would ride around on my shoulder.  I colored up this set with a bunch of different Copic markers.  Sorry I forgot to document.  Coffee, a good book and my reading glasses.  I chose the Carta Bella paper called Yesterday by Lori Whitlock.  I also wanted to frame my image with this die cut from a sweet friend.

I Love You Roses

Have you seen Power Poppy Poppies latest Instant Gardeners Digital Design Team...
Hello Power Poppy fans! Did you know something beautiful is about to sprout at the Power Poppy Shop? It’s something that’s sure to bring out the nature-lover in each of us and help us cultivate our creativity — INSTANTLY! What on earth are we talking about?! Well, here’s the dirt!

On the 15th of EVERY MONTH, we’ll share a
new plant for your Instant Garden!

What is an Instant Garden? It’s the new digital stamp collection from Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley. You can buy, download, print, and color the digi images with reckless abandon — in an instant! Digital stamps are nothing new to Power Poppy, but goodness gracious, since we introduced them in the summer of last year, you haven’t stopped asking Marcella for MORE! We listened! And now, we are dreaming up new images, planting them, watering with love and waiting for them to sprout each month!

With every garden, you need special people to nurture it and help it to grow. That’s why we'd love to introduce you to an amazingly talented team of Instant Gardeners a.k.a. our digital stamp design team. These women honestly need no introduction. They are household names and their talent and creativity are beyond description! We’re so excited to introduce:

Here is this months beauty:

I wanted to keep my image soft to match this paper, and little heart I found while cleaning and purging my stamping room.  I also colored the tag and the tape but I have been practicing with a different camera and I finally think I got the look I wanted but it wiped out my gray colors on my tape and sentiment.  So back to the drawing board as they say.  This rose is so easy to color up and can be found here in the Power Poppy Store:  La Vie En Rose.  While you are there check out all the rest of Marcella's wonderful creations:  Power Poppy Store

Today the Bloom Brigades are joining in on all the excitement...
