Penguins in Blue

I really don't want my scraps and card parts to pile up, so I'm trying to keep up with them. These blue plaid pieces have been on my table for a little while, but now they're gone! The stamps and dies are from Simon Hurley and they are popped up on foam squares.

The die-cut oval on this one was also on my table. The image is popped up, but nothing else.

Christmas cards are going out in the mail today. The house is decorated. And most of the presents have been ordered. Yippee!! (We don't have many people to buy for - just the kids and grandkids.)

SCT Class - Ranger/Simon Hurley

These four cards are from the SCT (Stamping and Cards Today Crop and Create) class that I took starting in September. Lucky for me that the classes are all on YouTube, as I was not able to do them live. I finally finished three more classes. Maybe I'll have more of them done before this post publishes.

This class was Simon Hurley for Ranger. Most of the cards are identical to the class cards. The kit consisted of the stamps and dies, stencils and AstroPaste.

Stamping Foam and Hugs

I still have this design impressed into one of my stamping foam blocks, so I used it again. You can't really tell in the picture, but the top and bottom panels are slightly green. They were left from when I ran inked-paper along with a baby wipe through my die-cutting machine. Not much color went to this piece, but I kept it, nonetheless, and now I've used it! I added thin black cardstock strips on each side of the stamped piece and added a four-layer die-cut sentiment.

More Flowers and Stamping Foam

I made three cards just like this one. The die-cut pieces and the sentiment are from Gina K. For the background, I used my Simon Hurley stamping foam and a placemat. To use the foam, you heat it up with your heat gun and then press something into it - in this case, a placemat. Then you add ink and stamp! It's something fun to play with.

Simon Hurley Stamping Foam

In my last Gina K order, I bought some Simon Hurley stamping foam. I had to get up to the minimum order to receive my incentive stamp set, of course! To use this foam, you heat it up with your heat gun and then press something into it. I decided to use a die cut for my first attempt. After pressing the die cut into the foam, I inked up the foam and stamped it onto white cardstock. I matted with black and added it to some patterned paper.

This is actually my first stamping. I decided that it looked quite nice to have the die cut placed into the white image on the card, so that's what I did for this one. The sentiment is cut from gold glitter cardstock.

And this third card is just like the first one, but with different patterned paper.
