Mosier decided his fate...

About a month ago, I got the word.

Mosier decided to go Service! He will graduate in April. :)

Thanks so much to everyone who offered advice and came along on our little journey! :)

What happened? To yesterday??

Just yesterday my Mo-Jo looked like this....



But, today he looks like this...


What happened??

I was asked almost a zillion times- "Won't it be hard giving him up"? I figured it would be, but how hard it would be- I didn't want to think about...as long as I keep focused on the fact that my Mosier will help improve someone's life- that's what counts.
But, then I got the word- Mosier is to be returned to KSDS on October 31st- in two days.
The suppressed emotions are starting to leak through, and I am realizing that it will be harder than I thought it would be, to hand over the leash.

I put over a years worth of love and work into Mosier, and after Saturday I won't hear anything about how he's doing or what career he will pursue- for over 6 months.

I don't regret the experience, and I would do it all over again...the potty training, the times when Mosier didn't want to listen, the hours of playing, the many people we've met and the places we've gone together.

Mosier is ready to continue his training and I look forward to seeing what happens. :)

A leash...and my Mosier.

I am the first to admit that I don't take Mosier out on the town as often as I'm sure other puppy raiser's take their dogs out...but somehow- someway...my lil Mosier's done well.
Sure, I'm a lil biased...but he has surprised me, and still does.
Whenever I put his leash on him...he's happy- and ready for duty!
I think he prefers to have the leash on...though he likes his freedom- he seems to enjoy a sense of duty, and boundary. I kid you not....you should see him. :)

As you can see from the pictures, our latest outing with Ellie and Lisa was at a park. :)

Mosier's been doing great, even though I've not been getting out with him much...though we've gotten to hang out (a couple of times) with Lisa and her PIT, Ellie- good times!

An over-due update. :)

On Sunday Mosier and I met with Lisa, Ellie and Talpa. It was an adventure, and I think Lisa and I handled three puppies better then I originally thought we could. :) Mainly, I was doubting my own ability...but I think it went well! :)
