Farewell Twofer Card Challenge

When I saw my friend Darnell was ending her Twofer Card Challenge, I knew I had to find time to bid it farewell. Then when I saw the theme was dog/cat, I knew just the dog I would use... my mini schnauzer, of course!

Card #1

First up is a simple card. The sentiment was on a piece of PP. I simply framed (RC) it out then added the hearts and pup. I've colored my pup to look like our mini Max. I still miss that sweet little guy and he'll always have a place in my heart.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 *EDIT: I hope you stop back, Nonnajoy I had no contact info. The mini schnauzer stamp is from a company called Bugawumps that is no longer in business.
Card #2
My second card is a playful one with a trio of shy little pups peeking out to wish someone a happy birthday. I used a TE mini slimline die, stamped and fussy cut the mini schnauzers then stamped and sprinkled on some stars.
Bravo to you and your team, Darnell for the four incredible years of the Twofer challenge! MWAH!
Guesting at Twofer!
Hello and welcome! I'm super excited to be a guest designer with the fabulous Twofer Card Challenge design team! What a fun challenge this month too... it's {trees}! Sooooo many possibilities.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I happen to have a favorite tree stamp in my stash that I've had for many years. It's by Memory Box. Here's card #1 using this pretty row of Linden trees!

I stamped the trees and sentiment (SU) in kraft ink then gave a light wash of color with my Copics. The sweet little church is a PTI die cut.

Those tree tops have become a caterpillar on card #2! Isn't she fun? She's hanging out in the strawberry patch. A little selective inking was done for her head then I drew the antenna. I added black rhinestones too. The sentiment is on oldie by SU. I love how whimsical this card is. Hubby liked it too!

Thanks ever so much for stopping by today. And a big thank you to Darnell for having me as her guest! The Twofer challenge runs through the 24th so you have lots of time to put that thinking cap on and join us!

You're Such a Blessing/Feel Better

Hey there! I squeaked in some crafting time here and there over the weekend and came up with a pair of cards for the Twofer Card Challenge. It just so happens that one of my card designs was a long skinny one and that's what Just Us Girls is looking for this week.

I haven't made one of these cards in years. My late sister-in-law and I used to have card challenges between the two of us. She called these tall cards and often had that as part of her challenge. Here's one for you Kathy!

I used my PTI butterfly dies here. The solid die was used to create a flurry of butterflies for the background. Then I used the die with cutouts for two winged beauties on the front. I added some of the little cut outs back in, swapping the colors between the two butterflies. This one could be used for a thank you, thinking of you or even a birthday!

For my second card, I used the solid die to turn my PTI angel into a butterfly fairy delivering feel better wishes.

Here they are together!

A Wonderful World!

This sunny day sparked a creativity bug! I ended up with two cards for the Twofer Card Challenge gallery. Take a look...

I used the raspberries (PSX) as a border for the Serendipity sentiment. The raspberry panel is popped up with foam tape creating a deep area for my inlaid sentiment circle. This one is for an anniversary.

I wanted the raspberries to be the focal on my birthday card. They're randomly stamped on a PTI die cut and topped with a RC sentiment banner.

No fancy coloring, just two clean designs.
Hope you like them!

You put a song in my heart ~ XOXO

Hey there! After seeing the sketch for this week's Freshly Made Sketches I had an idea pop into my head using hearts for a valentine. After I finished it, I realized I could make a second card for the Twofer Card Challenge using that same heart. So here you go!

I used a PTI heart die to make my own stencil. That stencil, and some masking, led to several overlapping hearts. I added some DeNami sentiments and tiny hearts then die cut the top edge with a PPP border die. and viola, a valentine!

For my twofer, I used the same heart die to cut some sweet PPs. My new MFT stamp and die set provided the bird, flower and sentiment.

Once a month or so, I send Sweet P some happy mail. Always something different. A highlights magazine (I have a subscription for her), a coloring book, stickers, or maybe a little treat. Just something fun from gramma and papa. This card will get tucked into one of those to let her know we're thinking of her!

Enjoy your weekend!
We're picking up my new car tomorrow ~ yay!!

Twofer #21 ~ Sweets!

I'm so happy to be an October guest designer with Darnell and her Design Team at the Twofer Card Challenge!

When I received the challenge graphic a wee bit of panic set in LOL!! I had to rack my brain to remember if I had anything that would work for {Sweets}. Phew...I had the perfect little cupcake!

First up is a note card.

I die cut some patterned paper with a PPP photo frame. It's mounted onto a PTI die cut panel and then adhered to an embossed card base. I like the way the embossed blooms mimic those in the PP. My little cupcake is from Stamps by Judith and the sentiment is Impression Obsession.

My twofer is a 5th birthday card for my great-nephew.

The cupcake is just the right size for the tiny red wagon. What little boy wouldn't enjoy 5 cupcakes...delivered by ants nonetheless!! This cute wavy sentiment is from an older SU set. And that determined little ant is by G-Rated Rubberstamps.

Now, what kind of sweets do you have in your stash? I can't wait to see the final calorie count in the gallery!!

Hello Love!

Hey there! I'm popping in tonight with a few feathered friends for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch and Twofer Card Challenge. Take a look...

I just love this little hoot from Purple Onion Designs!
He's tucked into a PPP photo frame.

I had so much fun coloring him that I decided to switch it up for a twofer!
I must say, I do love this blue eyed pair.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Ahoy mates!

Well hello there! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just lacking in crafty mojo and taking advantage of warm summer days. I've jumped back in head first with two masculine nautical cards for Darnell's Twofer Card Challenge.

First up is a ship in a bottle! I've had both the bottle (Just for Fun) and the ship ('A La Art) forever and love pairing them together.

I used some cute embossed anchors as a backing for the ship on this one. The compass and swirl images are by DeNami Design and the sentiment is PRS.

I'm on the fence about these, but I hope you like them!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Twofer #15 ~ Let's Celebrate!

Hey there! I have two cards for you, yep two! They're for this month's Twofer Card Challenge. They're looking for zoo animals so I pulled out this cutie patootie giraffe from Stamps by Judith.

First up he's posing on a tag for you while standing in some tall grass! I added a RC sentiment banner and a fun ABC embossed background.

For this one, he brought his brothers. They're claim to zoo fame is being triplets! They frequently pose together for zoo patron photo ops.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Twofer Card Challenge!

Did you hear that Darnell has a new challenge? Yep, she sure does! Her Twofer Card Challenge launched on Wednesday. Congrats sweet friend. I look forward to all of the inspiration that you and your team will provide!

Feathers...hmmm...what to do, what to do.

Break out a quartet of beanie wearing tweets and give them a fun feathered background. Yup, that's what I did!

And my twofer...switch up the design using the same image and papers with the addition of a little sheet music.

 I wanted my cards to be whimsical and fun.
 I think I made it happen! Hope you like them.
