The darling line art in this set will having you pulling out all your favorite mediums and reconnecting to the ‚grown-up‛ artist that you are.

{CTD179} Happiest Birthday

Hi there! I am back from my vacation and I am glad to see that Blogger came through for me and everything I pre-posted went live when it was supposed to!!!! Yay! You never know with Bloggers frequent mood swings......she can be a testy one;)
It's Wednesday, and that means another fabulous colour challenge from the talented ladies at The Color Throwdown....

And I just so happened to get some new Stampin' Up! goodies and it's been too long since I made a project using only SU products! I knew this new DP from the occasions mini would be perfect, as well as the sweet little button and spanky new stamps and steel dies (HELLO! these are nice- cut like buttah!)....

I stamped in Crumb Cake and coloured the flowers a tad with copics and added some adhesive pearls. Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon and the blush button tied off with a linen thread bow add a little softness:)

{TCPTUES195} Color Throwdown Guest!

Hey there! Some exciting news in these parts this month- I am The Color Throwdown's February Guest Designer! Yippee! So excited to be working with such a talented group of ladies this month! Thanks for having me girls!
I'll be sharing fabulous colour challenge cards every Wednesday for the whole month! I am combing this weeks colour challenge with The Cat's Pajamas weekly challenge (TCPTUES195), which was this sketch by lovely Leigh, which lemme tell ya ROCKS MY SOCKS!!!

And check out this gorgeous colour swatch:

Wanna see what I came up with?

I used the new TCP bunny set, Feelin' Cupidy. I used two bunnies, coloured with cool and neutral copics....I envisioned the bunny carrying the basket full of hearts rather than his bow and arrow. Well, one bunny seemed to small for such a big basket, so I added another:)
Their noses are paper-pieced and the wings and tails have a coating of distressed white stickles and a light dusting of diamond glitter.

The Eggs in A Basket die is blinged out and filled with various hearts using the Heart Trio Cutup and the little leaf that looks like a heart from the Sunflower Rosette Cutup die. The banners are cut with the Pennant Cutup and hearts from the Sunflower Rosette Cutup were added to the flags. Black Licorice Divine Twine bows were tied off at each pennant, making the banner look 'hung' on the card:)

Okay- now it's your turn! Check out the Dancing in Pajamas blog and play along with this weeks TCPTUES195 (your keyword for online galleries)....and if you think the Color Throwdown's combo is a good one, then we'd love to see you play with us there as well (keyword CTD177)! Thanks for stopping by!! See you tomorrow with my blog candy winner announcement!

{TSG138} Little Moments

***Scroll down for my YNS New Release post!!****

Hey there- 2nd post of the day....whooftah! I have been wanting to play along with the There She Goes challenges now for a few weeks (and I did one week, and with all the hooplah of the holiday season, I didn't get my photos taken or post done..and then they (the quick tags I made) were gone!!)
So here I am this week, sicker than a dog, but stamping some anyway. I have no energy for housework, so besides couch-time, which is terribly boring if you ask me, stamping seems not to taxing on me;) But even stamping isn't as fun when one is sick and my mojo is having a hard time finding it's way through a stuffy head:(
This weeks challenge is paper-piecing (TSG138) and is brought to us by Trensetter Jackie. Paper-piecing is one of my favorite ways to jazz up a card, and is great if you aren't a super-star in the ways of colouring, or if you don't have certain colours of markers/pencils.....just find some DP to tie into your card and you are set for matchy-matchy;)
I used the newly released set Little Moments and I love this set...it is so nostalgic of times gone by and is just one of those sets that tugs at your heart-strings:)

Granny's dress, her armchair and the little knitted bit were paper-pieced with various SU papers. The rest of her was coloured with copics, as well as the side table and lamp base and the shade was pieced as well. The wallpaper was embossed with a sizzix EF and inked with distressed ink to show the pattern better. The bead board was made with textured CS that was scored every 1/2" and the inked as well, with a chair rail adhered at the top. The lamp is actually a floor lamp sized stamp, but I simply only inked the bit that I wanted to. The drawer handles are gold SU brads and brads were attached in the 4 corners as well. The sentiment was stamped along the bottom of the bead board piece (I didn't score all the way to the bottom) and a river rock saddle-stitched ribbon was wrapped around with a bow topped with a MFT die cut snowflake, PTI button and twine bow.
You can see the dimension a bit better in this next pic...Granny has dimensionals 3 high stacked under her, and the lamp is doubled up with 2 layers of dimensionals. See that shadow under the lampshade?

I used the colours for this weeks Color Throwdown challenge:

Thanks for stopping by!!
See you tomorrow with Day One of Kraftin' Kimmie peeks:)

{TCPTUES160} Baby Bear & Balloons

Well, what do you know!? I have another card to show you using the fabulous sketch from Leigh O' Brien for The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday challenges. This is such a fun sketch that it was easy to whip another card out using it...so what the heck are you waiting for? There's still a few more days to get your submission in and fame and fortune could be yours!!
Again, here is the sketch:

I have a few friends that will be having baby girls in the near future...ahhh- the power of a 3D Ultrasound! And I do love this little 'Big Bear' from the 'Catch my Drift' set for baby cards, so I inked him, or her in this case, up and got to work. I paper-pieced the balloons with scraps, and used a really nice, soft pallette for the baby feel. And guess what? I am combining this weeks TCP challenge with another...The Color Throwdown #143!

My optional colours used were a little sky blue for the airbrushed sky of course, and the nice lilac purple (looks more plum in the challenge pic, but that wasn't working, so I went lighter).

And here is a close-up of the stamped image- you can see the cloud airbrushing here..as you can see from the white outline around the oval, I left it in the nestie while airbrushing. I used a scrap scallop circle punch to make the clouds.

For this inside, I used one of the sentiments from 'And Baby Makes...'. The paper I used is a mish mash of scraps, and Jillibean Soup and Lillibee....CS, ribbon and olive button are SU!
Check out Alma's blog here for more details! Thanks for dropping by!
