A Poinsettia for Christmas

Hello and welcome to my little slice of bliss! Today I am posting for the DeNami Design Team's last Pinspired feature for the year. This month we were inspired by this beautiful seasonal photo:

Sigh, that just makes me happy to look at!! I was completely captivated by those bright and beautiful colors for Christmas and that lovely layered red and pink poinsettia. So here's what I came up with:

I think this may be one of my favoritest holiday cards yet!! I used some gorgeously textured fuchsia cardstock (formerly available thru DeNami, but sadly no more--sniff, sniff!) as the base for this card, and I just LOVE how it sets off the other colors in the design. (I hope it looks fuchsia to you and not red on your device. Fingers crossed!)

November Pinspired at DeNami Design

Hello, friends! Today I'm bringing you another Pinspired post along with a few of my other DeNami Design teammates. This month we were inspired by this photo:

Isn't that pretty? I'd love to have a front door that looked like that for autumn :). Those pretty colors make me happy! There's so much to see in this photo, but I think I was most inspired by that awesome wreath. Here's what I designed:

This round card is on the petite side: it measures just 3.25" in diameter. I used Copics to color in those wee bitty pumpkins and leaves. Each pumpkin is popped up on a tiny square of foam tape for dimension.

August Pinspired at DeNami

Hello, friends! Today I'm bringing you another Pinspired post along with a few of my other DeNami Design teammates. This month we were inspired by this photo:

I was inspired by all those Popsicle sticks and immediately reached for the DeNami Popsicle stamp! I was also careful to pick up all those bright summer colors, too.

I used a variety of DeNami cardstocks (red, golden tangerine, desert orange, and white), Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and the "you're sweet" sentiment from DeNami's Love Sentiments stamp set.

June Pinspired at DeNami

Greetings, friends! Today I'm bringing you another Pinspired post along with a few of my other DeNami Design teammates. This month we were inspired by this photo:

I picked up on the fruits in this photo and immediately reached for my DeNami Tropical Fruit petit four stamp set. That sweet little stamp set has been getting quite a workout from me lately!

I also used the "you're sweet" sentiment from the Love Sentiments petit four stamp set. I rounded out my project with some Lime Versacolor ink, Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and some pretty DeNami patterned paper from the Watermelon Sampler paper pack.

Aren't those pleated medallions striking? They totally reminded me of the new Flower Bloom stamp from DeNami, so that's what I reached for first and then let the pretty colors of these fanciful medallions guide my color choices.

Pinspired at DeNami

Happy Wednesday, friends! One of the new features on the DeNami Design blog this year is a little something called Pinspired. Paulina, our DT leader, has scoured Pinterest for beautiful, inspirational photos. Twice each month, the DeNami team will then interpret a given inspirational photo into various cards and projects. Paulina split the team into two groups--the first group took their turn here--and today it is time for my group to take a turn.

Here is the inspirational photo that Paulina gave us to interpret:

And here is my creation inspired by it:

Even though I took a clean and simple approach to this card, there are still four different DeNami stamps in the design: Small Heart Outline, Teeny Heart Background, You're on My Heart, and Sparkles. Can you spot them all?

I also used some musical notes washi tape from the DeNami Design store.
