Back to School 2025

I scrapped Back to School photos for 2025. I played along with Rochelle Spears Sketch Challenge for October! Plus played along with Scrap with Stacy's Tic Tac Toe board for October by doing the middle row of Bow, Ephmera and Hearts! So many hearts! Everything you see is Reasons to Smile by Shimelle except the Back To School title which is EK Success Jolee's boutique. Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapping Myself!

I made this page for the Challenge YOUrself #142 to use black and white and one other color, PINK! If you look at my previous blog post, I had made a page with black and white and orange, but didn't have a picture of myself on the page. This one I am in all 3 pictures!! I was using up old stash with some My Mind's Eye from 2011 called Lost & Found 2 Blush. I used a 6x6 paper, pearl swirl, pearl brads and paper flags all from that line. Thanks for looking!

Halloween 2024

I found a new scrapbook challenge blog! I got really excited. So I made this page all excited for this challenge which was to use black and white plus one color (obviously my color is orange). But I failed to noticed that I'm supposed to add a picture of me to the layout. Whoops. But I LOVE how this page turned out. Plus I am using up old stash! The background paper is DCWV from 2012. And the trick or treat overlay is from Pebbles from 2013.

Smile its 2021

I busted in to my new kit by Shimelle called Reasons to Smile which goes along with the Mood Board #1 challenge #770 on Lasting Memories. I created this page with supplies from Reasons to Smile solely. I love the rainbow of colors and I feel like it goes well with the smiles of these pictures. These pictures are from March 2021.

Hike Together

I made this page with photos from a hike last year to see some waterfalls. They are seasonal waterfalls and so they are hard to see, especially because they happen mainly during tax season and school is happening. But last year, Steve and I made it happen. I used old stash from Echo Park: A Walk in the Park from 2014. I also used Tic Tac Toe challenge from Lasting Memories. I did the right column of flowers, 2 layers (which I took this to be my base is two layers), and border punch (yellow scallop strip).

Mother's Day photo

I made another page using Shimelle Laine's Starting Point Live stream from March 3, 2025. I just started putting this together and I feel like it was way more cohesive that I could have expected! I also used a Lasting Memories challenge #749 with Metal, Gold and Tag.

May Scrapbooking Challenge

I am smiling when I think about scrapbooking. It has made a come back in my life and a mess all over my craft area.

So happy to have scrapped these pictures. They are only 2 years old from my daughter's birthday party.
I used the sketch challenge from Rochelle Spears for the month and Tic Tac Toe challenge from Scrap with Stacy. I did the bottom row that included 3 pictures, flowers and word stickers.

Snake Catcher

I started scrapbooking again! I have completed over 25 pages this year! and I'm just loving it! To keep the scrapbooking going on found a challenge blog: https://rochellespears.blogspot.com/

On Rochelle's blog there is a link to Stacy's Tic Tac Toe challenge: I did at a diagonal: ink splatter spray (the background of my paper has white paint splatter that I did on it), tag, and stamping (the orange arrows and the blue asterisks are stamps). I love how this page turned out! Thanks Rochelle and Stacy for the challenges!!

Sneak Peek

I'm a little crazy and excited about posting over on EyeConnect's blog today! So go check it out. I'm also a little silly because I'm posting about Mother's Day and it is only March and not May (but I generally start thinking about things early and planning because I'm one of those people). Though I feel like more and more, no one reads my blog and so really I'm just writing this like notes to myself because I won't remember in a year or two or three...or however long it takes. So if I post somewhat regularly at least I will have some documentation that I can remember and I have the scrapbook pages I have made. I should journal more too. Note to self: Journal more.

Well here is a little peek at what I posted over on EyeConnect's blog:

January Scrapbook Pages

So I'm still working on a double page layout a month with my friend's challenge. For the month of January, the challenge it was to make a border for your layout. I had grabbed a small kit that I had put together myself. Essentially I found some paper I liked and some embellishments to go with it and had stored it all together. I made the border by layering paper and ribbon and a brad. I chose to go with a clean simple look and am happy with how it turned out. I journaled along the edge of the gray paper, so it is hard to see.

Jensen's Christmas

I'm on a roll!! I was so happy with the double page spread that I wanted to keep on going. So I had previously printed out a sketch and I have no idea where I got it from (I printed it out years ago.) Anyways, I decided to play along with Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge #421 to use watercolors, paints or misting. I used misting on the back, though I technically splattered it. I punched circles out with my 1" circle punch, and used my sewing machine to attach the little circles together. It was a great way to use up some scraps with the circles and the strips on the side. I'm still going to add some journaling to the bottom right corner. Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Trip Destination: Utah

I made this double page layout for my friend's scrapbook challenge she started. The challenge for the the month of November was Typography (or essentially that she wanted lots of words). This layout has way more words on it than I normally do and I tried to do some big and some small, some differing fonts. The paper and stickers are Echo Park's line called A Walk in the Park. I had so much fun putting this together and LOVE the big colorful circles bordering it. It's just so fun and happy colors and the memories from this trip are happy too. I also did this since we will be going to Utah this month and I'm excited to visit again.

Scrapbooking for the Year, so far.

My goal has been to do a page a month. I missed 2 months while I was working for tax season. I've also been playing around with mixed media too which has been fun.

Blue beauty page

I made this scrapbook page with the inspiration of the blog Stamps and Stencils challenge of using blue.  I diluted a blue paint that I did first over the paper. Then I used ink and star stencil and embossing powder and I used clear glitter mist so it is super shimmery. Then I did some swirl stamps and some script stamps. I found some wood grain star that I sprayed with chalkboard glimmer mist and distressed everything. Plus I added some blue liquid pearls around the page. Oh yeah and some prima flowers and the gem swirl too. I love how this page turned out and I'm working on what I'm going to have the journaling say. Thanks for stopping by!

Cuddle

I scrapbooked this earlier this year. It is a picture of my girls with their newest cousin. It is an 8x8 page that I was trying to use up my stash by using 3 pp, 2 chipboard, 2 buttons, ribbon, and punchouts. I used a Colorbox kit.
