Oh Carter!!

So the funniest thing happened the other night. Me and Chad were watching Taken (that movie was really good!!) We had all the lights off. We noticed someone turned on the bathroom light, so we went to see who was going to the bathroom. We got there and no one was there, we were like huh, that is weird! So we walked down the hall a little more and we saw Carter. Carter had gotten out of bed, went and turned on the bathroom light, went BACK to his room, opened his closet, and was PEEING IN HIS DIRTY CLOTHES BASKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No kidding! Chad was like Carter STOP and he did not even know we were there!! He was FULLY ASLEEP!! When he was done I took him in the bathroom because he had pee on his shirt. I took it off, that is when he snapped out of it! He was like MOM what are you doing!!! Where is my shirt?!?! I just couldn't stop laughing!! I wonder how many times he has done that!? CRAZY BOYS!!!!!!!

Okay, Okay, I know I have been slacking with the whole blog thing! I will try to do better!! So I haven't keep any of this up for a while and so much has been going on in the Johnson House!

Chad quit Swift!!!!!! YAY!!! Chad now works for the Post Office Delivering mail. It is going great! He LOVES it! And he is happy! He has never very happy at Swift and never would have been. Chad likes to be alone and he loves to drive. So this really is the perfect job for him. I am so happy for him to have found something that he really loves to do. I love you Chad! We also celebrated our 8th anniversary! That is so weird! I just can't imagine my life with out Chad! He is great, and I know he would do ANYTHING for me and our family. So EIGHT years! That is crazy!

So another thing we have done since I was slacking here was we went camping as a family! I don't remember EVER in my life EVER going camping before. My mom said that I have when I was little but never that I remember, maybe she has me confused with someone else?! Any way so THIS was my first time camping!!! The first time (that I remember) ever sleeping in a tent! I was pretty nervous to go. I am not really THAT type of girl. I am pretty much all city girl! I will do another post all about the camping trip. But it really ended up being a lot of fun! I actually kinda liked it!!! DID I SAY THAT?!?!?!?

Anna Graduated Kindergarten!!! I cant believe Anna Banana is in FIRST GRADE!!!! That is so crazy!! Anna is such a fun little girl! She is so full of energy, and she never stops. She is friends with EVERY one in the WHOLE kindergarten. All 6 classes! She hugs every one she sees and always has something nice to tell them, about them. She is so cute and fun, sometimes a little exhausting, but mostly fun. I will do a post all about the HUGE graduation! It was full cap and gown, they over did it I think. But it was a lot of fun! I will post about it later!

Carter finished FIRST grade, I now have a SECOND GRADER! That is REALLY weird!! Carter is such a smarty pants! He loves school. He goes to learn and loves it (Anna goes to socialize) Carter loves math. He always wants me to print math worksheets and he loves to do that all day long! We finally got him a math workbook, it was a 4th grade work book, he can do it all! He knows ALL his times tables, multiplication and division are his FAVORITE thing to do! I know, weird! He is so smart!

I am pregnant!!!!!

We are super excited!! We knew when we had Gracie we were going to have a break for a while, but we both knew we were not done. We knew it was time again. We were all ready, the whole family. Every one is super excited. I am only 7 weeks. The kids already love to talk to my tummy! It is really cute. They cant wait. My due date is January 11th! So I will keep you all updated on everything! YAY!!

So I will do my best to keep this blog more up to date! It is hard to get back into the habit. I will do it! I will try!

Happy Birthday Carter!

First I just have to say I CANT Believe I have a SEVEN year old!! That is Crazy!! So yesterday was Carter's birthday! So here is my story for Carter.... It is long, Carter has had a lot happen in his 7 years of life!

Me and Chad decided not to TRY to get pregnant, but Not to PREVENT it. I went to the Dr for something totally different and we told them that we weren't preventing, they wanted to rule out pregnancy. So they did a blood test, I found out I was Pregnant while I was at McDonalds!! I was Chad and my sister LINSEY. The Dr. called to tell me and I was like " Shut up, NO WAY!!" Linsey could tell RIGHT AWAY what was said on the phone, she was RUNNING over to me in the McDonalds Chad was like what the heck! So I told him what the Dr. had just said. We were all hugging and jumping up and down in the McDonalds. Everyone at McDonalds was like HUH? They all knew, everyone was congratulating us. It was really funny. Now that I look back at that I think MAN that would be so funny to be one of the people just eating there watching us. It was funny! I was so excited. I LOVED being pregnant. I did not get sick at all, I felt so good. I loved it so much!! We found out it was a boy and I was so excited, I always hoped for a boy first. Not long after we found out it was a boy, I went for my routine visit. The Dr. felt like he should check me,I was feeling Strong Braxton Hicks already. I was already 50% ephased. I was 22 weeks along, my first baby. The Dr. was very concerned. I went on COMPLETE bed rest, and I had to take Terbutilin. That was not so much fun! I hate Terbutilin. It is actually a asthma medication, it is supposed to relax your uterus so you wont contract. It makes you very shaky and I could never focus, but it made me tired too. It was not fun. I had to take it every 4 hours day and night! Even though I did not like taking that so much I still LOVED being pregnant!! I loved feeling the baby move around, I just think that is so awesome. I love it. I still felt good except that Terbutilin stuff!! So it got to be Easter time and I was like Oh I get off bed rest in almost a week, I want to make Sugar cookies. I think that is what did it for me! Chad was working nights at the time. So at about 4 in the morning my water broke! I was 35 weeks! I thought I peed. It was not a lot and every time I stood up it stopped coming out. I called my mom and she said she thinks it was my water that broke. I called Chad and he came home. I still was not feeling Contractions!! We went to the hospital. When we got there they did not even think I was pregnant, I was hardly showing. I am tall, and he had a lot of room to grow. So I got a room and they checked me, I was 100% ephased but not dialated at all. The Dr. I was seeing was out of town so it was someone totally different! Anyway it did not take long, like 2 hours after I got there He was ready to come. I pushed one time and he was here!!!! YAY!!

So Carter was born 5 weeks early. Because of that he had a lot of health issues from the first day. They said that he did not have his sucking reflex yet, he would not eat. He still struggles with eating today as a seven year old. Carter got to be about two, and we were always worried about him he would go SO LONG with out eating a single thing. He was always getting sick, always! When he was 2 he was hospitalized for few different reasons. 1. He couldn't breath, he was having a very bad Asthma attack, we did not know he had asthma before that. 2. All of his blood levels were extremely low, he was below the charts for his weight. He was Malnutrioushed. Some of the levels got dangerously low. So he was in the hospital for a little over a week. We got his levels up a little, but every one was so worried about him. All the Dr. wanted to run so many tests over the next whole year. They wanted to know why he was not eating. So first he had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. They wanted to see if something was hurting him when he ate. He was tested for cictic Fibrosis, he was tested for so many things that lasted a whole year. In the mean time he had to drink this drink 5 times a day to get his levels to stay up. The drink was $6 a can!! 5 times a day! It was really expensive and hard. The drink would fill him up so we still would not eat, but his levels were okay. He was hospitalized again during that year, for not eating and losing weight. Again at age 4 he was in the hospital! He went and got his 4 year well shots and we think they cleaned the skin and he jumped, they maybe poked it where they didn't clean? We don't know what happened. That night Carter was extremely uncomfortable. He was getting all red and swollen his whole entire arm was so swollen. We took him in, he had Celulitus!! That is an infection in your blood stream. It was spreading very quickly. It could be fatal if it makes it way to your heart. So he was in the hospital, he was taking oral anti-biotics and had to get 3 shots a day of a different anti-biotic for about 5 days. Again at the age of 5 he was in the hospital. This time was really weird. Carter started complaining that his hip was hurting. He was complaining for a few days. So I took him to an Urgent Care. They could not take X ray of his hip and we had to go to the ER. So here we go again!!!! So They did X-rays and it was nothing, but they had more they wanted to check. It turned out that he got a virus of some kind, a cold maybe. And the Virus moved to his hip. His hip filled with Fluid. They had to test the fluid to see if it was infected and it was. Of coarse! So they treated him a few days and we came home. So since that time, he has been doing pretty good. We have quite a few scares with him. And he is so strong and he trusts us, when they need to check something, he is willing. He teaches me so much! I love my Carter boy, even though he causes me SO MUCH STRESS!


So as Carter got older he is a very special boy! He is so sensitive, and super smart. He is very sensitive to other people's feeling too. He is so awesome. Carter is always the one that feels so bad if something happens. He stresses out a lot, about a lot of things. He does not like to not be around me. Carter writes me notes everyday. One day he wrote me a note, he said my heart is pounding for you mom, I cant stop thinking about you! He is a lover boy. Loves to cuddle and always has to be touching me, even if it is just our elbows touching. He is very calm and very relaxed. He does not like to play like a rough tough boy. He likes to play inside and on the computer. He loves school and loves to learn. For his birthday I said if you could have ANYTHING in the entire world, what would it be? He thought about it for a little bit. I was sure he would say a Wii or a Playstation or something like that. You know what he said? He said something to do with MATH!!!! He loves math and is good at it too!

I'm Back!!!!

So It has been such a long time!!! Where have you been?? So much has happened!! I am going to just start with right now, I will do more posts later about other things that has already happened. So Carter is ALMOST 7!!! I cant believe it! We have been planning his birthday party, he wants his party stuff to be all Pokemon. We just made the invitations, They are AWESOME! We made a Pokemon card, the back of it is a real Pokemon card. It is so cool, they turned out super Perfect!

We are going to play all Pokemon stuff, it will be fun! So Carter has a goal for before he turns 7. Carter wants to ride his bike with no training wheels before he turns 7!! We have been going to the park everyday for him to do it. First we rode down hills so he would be going too fast to be wobbly. Then he is going on the basket ball court. He has it. All he has to do is start off on his own! I hope he does it before his birthday, I think he will! He is practically doing it! YAY Carter! Here is a video of him.

Thanksgiving

So every year we rotate whose family to go to for Thanksgiving. This year it was my families turn. Carter was SOOO excited so he could see Jack, Anna was excited to see Tommy and Liberty. This year it was my mom and dad, my family, Brett and Gina's family and Katie and Eric's family. It was so much fun. A few weeks before Thanksgiving Carter and Jack were planning a huge Pokemon Battle! They were deciding which Pokemon to bring and which Trainers they would be. Then a few days before "The Big Battle" Carter asked Harris and Kimball if they would want to join in. Of coarse, what boy wouldn't want to. On Thanksgiving all the boys all wore Pokemon shirts, and took all their Pokemon outside. It was really funny to watch them. Anna and Gracie had a fun time with Tommy, Liberty and Abby. They played a lot of house. After awhile Paul got bored and got all the kids to play Hide and Seek. I had fun because the kids were having SO MUCH fun. I hardly even saw Carter, Anna and Gracie. So we had a fun day!! We took a quick Family Picture and had good food! Here are a few of the pictures I took of the fun day!

TWILIGHT!!!!

SO Who has seen Twilight???? What did you think??? I LOVED IT!!!! It was really good!

It's getting COLDER!!

So a few years ago we lived in Kansas. It was awesome there. We loved the weather, the changing seasons, the snow. Our favorite part was all the STORMS we got. It rained there all the time. Our very first weekend there the tornado sirens went off. We were amazed. Chad LOVES weather. We were outside watching the storm. It was so awesome. You could TOTALLY see the clouds swirling around. It was really cool. We had neighbors come over, they were like we know you are new here, you need to get in your basement. We were stupid, we stayed outside and watched. It was so so cool. A tornado touched down about 20-15 miles away. It was one of the coolest things ever! Anyway, anyone who knows Chad knows he has a fascination with weather. If we are driving to Utah or somewhere, most people check the weather for storms to know not to go that way. Chad checks for storms so we SHOULD go that way. Before we had kids, when we were bored, Chad would check the radar and we would drive to where it was raining. Sometimes drive for like an hour, JUST to see the rain. I know we are CRAZY! Chad just loves rain. Chad makes sure every prayer in our house, involves asking for rain.
So yesterday, we went to church, and it was pretty hot. We were wondering when it was EVER going to cool off! So we got home we watched Newsies. It is cool enough to keep the windows open, but it is still warm. Anyway ALL OF A SUDDEN we got the COOLEST storm EVER! Maybe not as cool as the tornadoes, but the coolest one we have had in AZ! It was POURING! Then it started HAILING! It was so cool. Our grass was pretty white, covered in Hail. Our kids could not believe it! Chad was so excited. Our house was crazy everyone loved it! Carter didn't like it though, he was scared hearing the hail hit the windows was scary to him. So here are a few pictures of the cool storm. We NEVER get storms like this here! It was really cool!
This last picture was from the back of Chad's truck! This morning was pretty cold, today is the first day Carter and Anna wore pants to school. FINALLY!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

It's Anna's Turn! Happy Birthday!

I know it was just Gracie's birthday! Anna just turned FIVE today!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Every birthday I like to think back to the day that they were born and look at all their pictures! So 5 years ago today? Lets see. We were living in Goodyear, I went on bed rest starting at 25 weeks with Anna. I had to take Terbutilin, not a fun thing, every 4 hours 24 hours a day. All night even! Any way, Anna made it to 37 weeks! YAY! When I was in the hospital having Anna, Chad, my mom and Chad's mom were all in there. Anna's heart rate kept dropping way to low. I tested positive for strep B, So I had antibiotics, the epidural and Pitocin, all going pretty high. I had a little Seizure type thing. So they turned all the machines off, gave my a few shots of something that knocked me out for a couple of hours. I woke up and we were ready. Anna's heart rate was super low, we did not feel right about something. So I pushed her out in 2 pushes. She was face up. Any way she came out COMPETE LY BLACK. The cord was wrapped around her neck twice, and also around her tummy. She had no pulse, no breath, she was not crying NOTHING. She was completely limp. Right away a team of Doctors started resisitating her, massaging her heart, her feet, her arms, trying to get the blood pumping. We were all so scared and holding our breath. Her first apgar was 0, she was not there. They kept trying to resisitate her, next apgar 0. I was so SCARED. She was still black, no blood pumping, no oxygen. Next apgar, 0! Normally, they give up after 3 apgar tests! Our Doctor was LDS, my was over by Anna watching and Praying. She asked the Doctor to give her a blessing, Chad was with me, SCARED, not knowing what to do. So he gave her a blessing, we heard an instant little whimper start from her. When the blood started pumping, she got a little color right by her nose and then just started coming back everywhere! She started Crying, 4th apgar (remember they normally give up after 3) was a 3. Then with in very few minutes it was a 9!!! AMAZING! That was the MOST scary few minutes of my entire life!!! The Doctor was worried she might have brain damage from lack of oxygen...NOTHING wrong with Anna. Anna is my healthiest child. She had RSV when she was 10 days old, got pretty sick, was admitted. Other than that NOTHING! She is healthy and strong! So know you see when I was talking about Gracie, her heart rate started to slow down, I JUMPED on a C-Section! So now Anna is five years old!! She has more personality then all of us put together! She is so social, and so fun to be around! She can make any situation good or bad, FUN!!! Today for her birthday, Carter and Anna both missed school, we went and saw HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3!! Then we went on a picnic at the park and played a little, then we went to Chuckee Cheese for some games! We came home and opened presents and ate cake! FUN DAY! Happy Birthday Anna!
