Coffee Time ...

Yuk, yuk, yuk....what a miserable day here in the South of England!! But I suppose it is Autumn... and I know our friends out in Australia would dearly love this amount of rain right now x
Daisy had a 'duvet day' today as her school had an inset day... which was good with me as I had a quick tidy on my desk...and then....untidied it all over again!! :)
Today's card sets the scene of a little coffee house :)  Coffee?? Me?? Nah!!! Lol
Using a gorgeous Lily of the Valley image...Tim Holtz 'Wall' embossing folder...Marianne Lamp post die...La La Land Fence die...tiny blossoms from WOC...and a Spellbinder window......here it is x

Take care all x

Talented Friends - Part 2!!

I'm sure you've all seen the lovely big sunflower over on the right hand side of my blog...well that belongs to another dear friend of mine ...Linda Luckin She has some stunning new stamp designs and a wonderful blog

This is a card I made with one of her beautiful new flower stamps... Bluebell...
♥ I have used a piece of mount board and covered it with Faded Jeans and Weathered Wood distress ink...stamped the image...watercoloured it using Faded Jeans and Pine Needles and mounted it on Once Upon a Time papers ♥
I absolutely adore bluebells...they so remind me of when I was small!! Yep...that's me in the white coat with my sister! :)

No Patterned Paper!!

*Gasp*
Is the challenge on Arty Girlz this week!

''This weeks challenge is 'no patterned paper' eek but don't panic too much because this doesn't mean that you can't make your own patterned paper using stamps or doodling or from other resources etc it just means NO shop bought designer patterned paper so go and have fun :) ''

here is my effort...

I have used plain white cardstock for a base. Onto that I have randomly splodged (technical term!) Tattered Rose and Old Paper distress ink, and wiped over damp kitchen towel. The script stamp is by Stampin' Up! and I've used Timber Brown Stazon. The 'lady reading' image has also been stamped in Timber Brown Stazon onto an Old Paper splodged white base. A piece of ribbon and a couple of Prima flowers finish it off x

Oriental...

The challenge on Sunday Stampers this week is 'Oriental'. I have to confess that this theme is always a challenge to me anyway!! ^_^

The photo doesn't really help my case either I'm afraid, as the background has Galaxy Gold Brilliance wiped randomly over the Fired Brick distress ink, and Galaxy Gold Oriental butterflies stamped on too...but you can't see it! In the flesh, it does actually break the red up, so you'll need your imagination for this one!! ^.^

Blue 'n' Green Things With Wings....

Hi all... this weeks challenge over at the Papertake Weekly challenge blog, is to use Blue and Green together... and the challenge from My Time To Craft this week is 'Things With Wings' ...I've managed both in one ^.^

I have taken the opportunity to make up a 4x4 fat page for a friend who is poorly x

The background is again glossy photo card which has been covered in Adirondack 'Lettuce' ink and the butterflies have been stamped on top using Tim Holtz, Faded Jeans Distress ink.
The 3D butterfly has been stamped onto glossy card covered with Nick Bantock's Turquoise ink.

Sunday Stampers...week1

Have finally done my card for this week...all that said...I'm not really sure I like it !!!
Promise to try harder next week x

I have taken a slightly textured white card base and smudged Tim Holtz Fired Brick and Nick Bantock's Rose Madder ink pads randomly over the card, then blended them by lightly wiping TH Tattered Rose over the top.
I've used an Autumn Leaves 'Flourish' stamp as a background, and also on the hearts...to which I've added ribbon to give the look of balloons. The 'Love' image from the Doodles for Daniel range has been coloured the same as the base card and I have edged both with a gold Krylon pen.

There we go...and I have to say the card is looking much better this morning now it's dried out...but the picture looks VERY bright!!! Doh!!!
I'll try and get a better one later!
Blow Kiss
I've changed the picture now...but it's still not a good image...I think I'll just give up with it now ^.^

Rags for Ryan x

I've been wanting to have a play with Rags since he arrived here in the week...and tonight I got the perfect reason!! A birthday ATC for the 5th birthday of a friends' son.

Here he is...I have wiped Chrome Yellow and Deep Turquoise ink, from Nick Bantock ink pads , along with Fired Brick from Tim Holtz, randomly over a blank ATC...then wiped TH's Old Paper distress ink over the whole thing. I flicked water sparingly, and then dried it off.
The image of Rags...has been stamped on using Jet Black Stazon, as has Happy Birthday (from Stamping Bella) ...and a few of his hearts and patches coloured with Sakura Gelly Roll pens. I have spritzed all over the ATC with Scarab Beetle Glimmer Mist...added a doodled on border and his name in epoxy lettering.
There we have it...the first of many encounters with Rags the adorable teddy from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts!

xxxx HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN xxxx

Royalty

Last weeks...Eeek, late again!!...Florrie's ATC challenge on Craftswap had the theme of 'Royalty'!
My one ickle brain cell struggled to think of something for this...until I found a crown!! Then all I had to do was find a head for it to fit on!Queen

Anyway...here is my finished effort...For the background I have used Rose Madder, Chrome Yellow and Deep Turquoise ink pads from Nick Bantock...then lightly rubbed Tim Holtz Tattered Rose over the top. Onto that I have stamped the gorgeous little girl image from Crafty Individuals and then spritzed with 'Solar Gold' Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels.

The gold ribbon is held on using my 'Microstitch' tag machine. The crown (which has since had gems added) was placed gently on her head and the word 'Princess' added to finish.

Violets are Blue

This weeks Papertake Challenge was followed on from last weeks 'Roses are Red'.
Finally managed to do it! Mind you...a lot of recycling has gone on with this one...Ooooops! Blushy 2

The base paper is from the 'purple' free download from Funky Fairy's...the other papers are from DCWV Once Upon A Time, and the ickle elf image has been stamped onto white card stock and coloured using watercolour pencils. Oh, and his wings have been dusted with Glamour dust.
The edges have been swiped with Dusty Concord and Faded Jeans Distress Inks...as with the Happy Birthday sentiment.
I'm sorry but I don't know anything about the stamp image as it is unmounted and came from Ebay Surf The Web

Gratitude...

...Is the theme for week 87/88 of Florrie's ATC challenge on Craftswap forum. There is a new one for this week, which is week 89. I'm just late as usual!

I have dabbed ink from a Tim Holtz distress pad lightly over an ATC, then stamped it with one of the stamps from an Autumn Leaves 'Flourish' set. It has then been spritzed with Solar Gold Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels and left to dry before going round the edge with a Gold Krylon pen.
The wording 'Count Your Blessings' is from a K&CO 'To Go' box (Yes...I've used one - Yippee!!) coated with a pearlescent beige Brilliance pad and again edged with Krylon pen. I used ribbons and a brad to finish it.

Apologies as the picture doesn't do it any favours really... you can't see the glimmer or the writing very well x
