Let's Dance!

Hi again! I love having loads of time to craft! I've just got a cold though so I hope it doesn't slow me down as I have all day to myself! Here's another little card I've made this weekend using the same paper pad as yesterday as it was still out on my desk. I paper pieced the back panel, his suit and her dress with papers from the background then gave him a sparkly bow-tie to match the little heart in the corner. I used this doily punch but covered most of the lace up, it looks really different so I'm quite happy with that! I also used a little circle punch for the inverted corners and a square punch for the sentiment banner tails. Thanks for stopping in, I hope you enjoyed the extra hour in bed this morning (in the UK that is)!

Cupcake Guest Designer - Royalty!

Good morning! I hope you had a lovely weekend and are excited about the next one and all the celebrations it will bring!
I'm back with this weeks Cupcake Craft challenge - my last as Guest Designer! :-( Thanks so much to the fab ladies on the team and the lovely Faye for asking me to play along - I've loved it! And this weeks challenge is no exception, it's very fitting for the Jubilee celebrations, the theme is Royalty!
It's my lovely Dads birthday on the Jubilee monday, but it's his 59th!! Nooo!! It would have been so special to have his 60th on the Diamond Jubilee day but never mind, it'll still be brill! I decided to theme his birthday card as it probably won't happen again so I've used these Patriotic papers and some cute postage elements. I'm sure he'll get link! ;-) I hope you like it and can join in this week!

By the way, this little crown is part of the amazing freebie Jubilee kit from Liz @ Pink Petticoat, I printed the little crown onto copier paper, then when I saw where it printed, I stuck a little piece of the cream patterned paper over it and printed it again, so now it looks like a little stamp!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #197!

Good morning! What a grey day! Oh well, lots to do indoors today then a 50's party tonight!! Should be fun!
I'm back today though with the details of this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge, this week is Spots & Stripes! And there's a $20 voucher to be won from 1-2-3 Stitch for a lucky random entry.
Here's my card - more stash using up as I've had this pad for a while, it came free with a magazine and hasn't been touched til now. The backing paper is stripey with patterns between, I'm not sure if it shows but there's some cute little bunting! But I thought it would be good as a mens card so I've kept the flowery-bling-ness to a minimum! Have a lovely saturday, thanks for popping over!

Bit of a delay...then an Epiphany!

Hello! I'm so sorry for the delay to both my Penny Black Saturday teammates and my Crafters Companion ones (already!). I had a really busy week last week then as soon as I got some free time, I came down with a kidney infection followed by nasty side effects to the antibiotics so crafting and blogging were the last things on my mind! So here's a bit of a catch up.
~~~
There's a new Penny Black Saturday challenge up, Love & Kisses, sponsored by the lovely 1-2-3 Stitch with a $20 voucher to their store! The DT cards are beautiful so make sure you hop over and have a look. I was going to still make a card for the challenge but now I think I'll just cut my losses and get on with next saturdays one!
~~~
Next up, the launch of the Epiphany Shape Studio tool!! This was launched on Create & Craft by Leann on Sunday lunchtime, and I saw 3 of my cards!!! Woo hoo!! My mum taped it bless her!

This is such a cool addition to your punches, it makes beautiful epoxy shapes & buttons to decorate your cards & projects, matching perfectly to whatever it is you're making, plus there's gorgeous fabric, plastic & metal findings to go with it, I've got my eye on the vintage style metal ones!

Here's a little how-to guide on the Crafters Companion Blog.
And here's the cards I've made; sorry there are a lot of photos! The first 3 are the ones I spotted on the show, then there's 3 more. All the links to the stamps, pens & papers are in the InLinkz boxes below.
Each one is for a different challenge so I'll put the links under each card.
I'm entering this into CAS-ual Fridays - Paper Piecing (the little Duck is paper pieced using the yellow floral paper)

I'm entering this into Papertake - black, white & red all over

This is going into Cupcake Craft - Twine

This is for Top Tip Tuesday - Mystical, Magical & Fantasy

This one is for Sir Stampalot Challenge - In the Garden

Finally, I'd let to submit this into Allsorts - Free & Easy!

Well done if you've reached the end!! Thanks for looking! :-)

Have a Tweet Birthday!

Hello! Monday morning is here again, boooo! On a good note though, today is mine and Jamie's 2nd weding aniversary! We had such a nice, lazy weekend in Rye, I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quite and chilled weekend. The weather was perfect too, dry, sunny and crispy cold! We got back yesterday evening and I made this card for my brothers birthday - not til April, I'm organised for a change! But when I bought this stamp & die set, I really wanted to make his birthday card from it in a 'Twitter' style as he's always on it! Then this weeks Daring Cardmakers challenge is a Social Networking theme so I thought I'd go for it! I've left it fairly embellishment free as it's a men's card and I thought it would make the bird stand out more. I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by, I'm off to think up something special to cook for our anniversary dinner tonight!!

Here's the challenges list:
Daring Cardmakers - Miraculous Social Networks
My Favourite Things - this sketch -->
Winter Wonderland - Birthday Wishes
ABC Challenge - H = Happy Birthday

Papertrey Christmas Tags!

Hello! What a hideous day we're having! Hopefully all the people in the north reading this are tucked up snug indoors!
I'm here to share a little christmas card I've made - another one! It's using the cute little Tiny Tags set from Papertrey, I thought I would use lots of the different shapes with it. I haven't linked to all of the words as they're from 6 different stamps set and I thought it would be a bit tedious making a note of them! If you're curious to know about one, just let me know in the comments and I'll find out for you. Also, I'm not sure where the glitter paper was from, Create & Craft maybe...?
I might be back tomorrow with a card, if not I'll be back at the weekend, bye for now! xx
Here's the challenge list:
Passion for Papertrey - Red & White Christmas
Paper Sundaes - Sundae Bar (I've used red & die cuts)
Sir Stampalot Challenge - Bingo (bottom line - Punch, tags & Ribbon)
Papertake - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
