Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge

Hiya! I'm back with a couple of cards I've made for this months Papertrey Blog Hop challenge. I made them a few days ago then almost forgot to post them! I loved this months inspiration photo and I'm sure I won't be alone in how I've interpreted it ;-)

I smooshed various Distress Inks on my craft mat and pressed watercolour card into it, dried it then repeated that a few times drying between each layer. Then I used the positive & negative pieces to make 2 different looks. I hope you like them, all the supplies are listed below. Thanks for looking!

Dies - Papertrey Ink 'Quatrefoil cover plate' & 'Birthday Trio'

Ink - Distress Ink 'Seedless Preserves', 'Picked Raspberry', 'Chipped Sapphire' & 'Broken China'

Sentiments - Papertrey 'Think Big Favourites #12' & Simon Says Stamp 'Square Sayings'

Embossing powder - Wow! 'Rich Pale Gold' & 'White'

Papertrey August Blog Hop Challenge

Hi again! What a drizzly bank holiday we're having! Hopefully this card brightens you up a bit. It definitely makes me happy; pink, gold, polka dots, glitter, ooooh! ;-) It's inspired by this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

I've had this gold glitter embossing paste for a little while so when I saw the photo, I embossed a panel with a polka dot stencil and left it to dry. Then this morning I made it up into this card. I think I'll do that more, I get put off using pastes because of the drying time. It looks kind of gaudy in the photos but its lovely in real life :-)
I'm also entering this into the current Seize the Birthday anything goes challenge, this weeks CASe this Sketch and AAA Cards challenge of stencils. This is also using techniques from the Stencilled Online Card Class (see, told you it would take me ages!! Haha!) Enjoy the rest of your Monday!

Supplies;
Stencil - That Special Touch 'Large Polka Dots'
Sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Keep it Simple: Birthday'
Card stock - Stampin' Up 'Melon Mambo'
Ink - Stampin' Up 'Melon Mambo'
Other - Vellum, clear embossing powder & Imagination Crafts Sparkle Paste 'Gold Shine'

Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge

Hiya! I'm back today with a card I made a few days ago for this months Papertrey Blog Hop! This month the theme is embroidery, I loved the images on the sample but I did a quick Pinterest search and found this lovely skirt image and decided to use that as inspiration.
I used vellum and white embossed a lace border stamp across the bottom, then masked it off and stamped & embossed most of the flowers from the Doodlie Do set. I really liked how the vellum warped in the heat as it looked more like fabric so I just stitched it to the card base and added one of two dabs of glue so it wasn't flapping about. I embossed the sentiment, cut it into strips and I was done! I used Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday sketch and also this weeks Papertake challenge of White +1, mine is the adventurous cream! ;-) I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Supplies;
Stamps - Papertrey 'Doodlie Do' & Dovecraft 'Tea Party borders'
Sentiment - Elzybells
Other - vellum & white embossing powder

This months theme is High Gloss. I hope my various glossy bits show in the pics - they were not easy to take! ;-) But the outer hexagons are clear embossed, as is the sentiment, there's acetate on the shaker panel and of course the shimmery, shiny sequins! I've also used the colours in this weeks Dynamic Duos challenge. I hope you like it, thanks for hopping by!

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge!

Hello! I'm back again with more Papertrey goodness - I'm addicted to their stuff at the moment, good job I don't live closer, I'd be buying up the whole shop! ;-)
But today is the July Blog Hop! All the details are here. The theme for this month is the gorgeous colours below. As I said before, I don't own any PTI inks so went for the closest ones I have. Its such a pretty combo, I would never have thought of it though!
After my card for the Stamp-a-faire event, I had another go at making own backing paper. After my shocking attempts before, I thought I'd really take my time, check for inky finger smudges and actually hold on to the stamp(!) and I'm glad I did, I'm pretty pleased! I also tried doing a bit of gradient stamping on the central flower for a bit of demention! I hope you like it and thanks for hopping by!

Challenges;
Papertrey Monthly Blog Hop - These
colours -->
Papertake - Make Your Own (I made my backing paper)
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
