Sitting Pretty

Seeing so many Spring themed challenges around at the moment I was really inspired to play along and make something myself as well... and so after having a look at the stamps I had, I thought this adorable Sitting Pretty stamp from Prairie Fairy, was just perfect for what I had in mind.

I decided on a simple layout today, some softly coloured papers, a sentiment from Crafty Sentiments and then added lots of gorgeous embellishments .....

Not usual for me to add so many stuff on my cards, I do like to make simpler cards, but I thought they looked nice all together....

and I even added some glitter on her wings as well... can't have a fairy without glitter I thought.

A Fairy

I've got quite a few stamps which I haven't used for a while.. hope you're not guilty like me ... but today I decided that I'm going to start using these stamps more often and this is the first one that I picked ... a lovely fairy stamp from Pink Gem Designs which I had bought, I think even before I even started my blog!
... and she is such a darling, I don't know why I haven't used her again!

I coloured the image with my promarkers, flowers from my stash and the papers are from a free gift in the Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine. The brown ribbon and leaves are ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon which I had won from Jacque last December and the sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments Designs.
I used my Martha Stewart punch for the border and did some stitching and distressing all around.

This is the sketch that I followed today.

and I am entering my card in these challenges.

A Birthday Card

Last week I was asked by Judie from the Crafty Cardmakers if I wanted to be their Guest DT for their next challenge :))) Busy as I was last week, I still couldn't say no and it was an easy peasy one too... a Birthday Card, so off I set to make my card and this is what I did...

In fact this is a scheduled post as at the moment I'm on vacation, so I'm really hoping this is working out fine.

For my card, I thought I would try something different this time and used the colours purple, which i don't usually do and used some Papermania papers which I've had for quite some time. I also added some black. The stamp is one of the beautiful fairies from Crafter's Companion and I coloured it with my promarkers. Hope you like

A Fairy

A second post for me today and now this one is for the GDT Spot at the Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog for Challenge No 38!!!! I am so thrilled about this.

This is the card I made

and the theme for this week is to USE OLDEST THING IN STASH!!! Quite easy I said, but I really take such a long time to decide on anything ... and then finally I decided on my oldest stamp, which must also be the first stamp I bought me. The stamp is a Lili of the Valley Stamp and I coloured it with my promarkers. The papers are quite old too, and are from the Papermania range. Hope you like it.. It's really surprising what you can find in your old stash when you start to dig it up :)

I again followed a sketch to do my card, this one here.

And here are my challenges.

2 - Your Next Stamp Challenge 20 - FLOWER POWER

Tip Toe Fairy

I am so very excited today as the day has come when I am to post my cards as a GDT for the month of July for Stamptacular Sunday Challenges and also as a DT for One Stitch At A Time Challenge Blog .. wooo hooo :) I can't believe I'm actually writing this!!

So here is my first card and this one is for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenges. I had been participating for quite some time in the challenges so when I got the email from Dee you can imagine how excited I was .... woo hooo :) I am not going to tell you what I did he he ... lucky for me that everyone was asleep ;)

The theme this week for the Challenge No 66 is to do an APERTURE CARD !!!! and I have to admit I had never did one of these before but must say it was very good for me as I got to challenge myself to do something different. I hope you like it.

For my card I used all the flower punches I had, which I all inked one by one and I also used my beautiful Tip Toe Fairy stamp from Prairie Fairy Designs which is one of the five images I had won sometime ago in one of the challenges there. I printed off the wings twice and then after colouring with my promarkers and adding glitter, I cut a little slit in the main image at her back and slid the top wing from there.

I didn't use any DPs for my card but instead I stamped all over with a daisy stamp which was a freebie in my fave Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine this month. I also stamped it three more times with black ink this time, colouring them also with my promarkers and after cutting them out I stuck them to the inside of the card to look as if the fairy was stepping on them :)

.. a close-up of the sparkles

Here are my challenges for my card today..

1 - Prairie Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge No 26 - ANYTHING GOES
2 - Flutter By Wednesdays - OPEN
3 - Incy Wincy Challenge No 48 - THINGS WITH WINGS
4 - Magical Crafts Forthnightly Challenge No 18 - FLOWER POWER
5 - Corrosive Challenge No 70 - LOTS OF FLOWERS

I thought the flowers on my card and the colours I used did give a summery feel.. so here are now some Summery themed Challenges...

Cupcake Fairy

It's a lovely sunny day here in Malta.. even good enough to swim I think but kids had a Scouts parade to attend to this morning so hubby decided to visit his mum and me ... well me had some more housework to do ... wink wink .. and decided to stay here to do it.. and finish off this card as well :) !!

I coloured Lexi's lovely fairy stamp, which I bought last month, with my promarkers and for the background I used my Martha Stewart Glitter Stamp Starter Set.

To do the background I first stamped with two different green ink, using two sizes of a flower stamp in the pack and then I stamped the smallest flower with the glue pad from the set, adding the glitter to this one. The punched water lily flowers are also Martha Stewart as is the border one, but this one I cut around one side to make it as it is on my card.

Hope you like it :)

Here are the challenges for my card

1 - Lexi's Creations Challenge No 15 - BUTTONS & BOWS
2 - Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge No 10 - BUTTONS

6 - City Crafter Challenge Blog - Week 7 - BUTTON AND BOW

Recycling

The challenge at the Prairie Fairy this week is RECYCLING.. and this is what I did.

I bet you are asking where is my recycling :) but look what was in the back page of one of the many magazines that was left in my letter box this week, which normally end up straight away in my bin!! When I saw it, I immediately remembered this challenge.

I cut out the pink flowers .. after I took this photo I cut the one in the bottom as well, and then stuck them on the background somewhere else on top. I then hid the large 'T' with the circle wording, those small letters with another cut out flower and spaces where I cut out flowers with another circle wording and with the adorable Prairie Fairy stamp which I coloured with my promarkers.

I hope you like the result... now I'm going to try and get me some more of this mag as I loved the paper!!! he he :)

Some challenges:
1 - Prairie Fairy Challenge No 18 - RECYCLED
2 - Kaboodle Doodles Challenge No 30 - CELEBRATE SPRING

Thanks so much for looking.

Daisy Fairy

All went well for the Pope's first day in Malta of his two day visit here. There's a lovely atmosphere, roads refurbished, and painted, flowers, flags, great weather all nice things which have created a lovely atmosphere I think. My OH took the kids and the altar boys from our Parish, as he is in charge of them, to see the Pope, and so, being all alone, I grabbed the opportunity and made this card here, while watching all the activity from TV. I'll be off early tomorrow morning to goto see him where he will be holding the Sunday Mass.

For this card I used Daisy Fairy... which, I was lucky enough to win in a challenge at Inktegrity and I coloured her with my usual Promarkers, using only shades of one colour. I think she is really cute. You're still in time if you'd like to try as well, 'cos the challenges close every Wednesday..

I made the card for a few challenges and the sketch which I followed is by Diane at Inktegrity.

Challenges:
1 - Inktegrity challenge No 7 - The sketch.

2 - Charisma Cardz Challenge No 15 - MONOCHROMATIC CARDS - different shades of one colour or Black and White.

3 - Allsorts Challenge No 48 - IN STITCHES.... I tried some different type of stitiching... hope you like them :)

4 - One Stop Craft Challenge No 76 - THINGS WITH WINGS.

5 - By The Cute and Girly Challenge - The theme for this month is FAIRYTALES.

I would like to thank you for stopping by today and for all your lovely comments.

Big hugs

A great day!

Oh what a great day today..

First, I bought the March issue of one of my fave magazines, the Cardmaking & Papercraft ..

and who was there ... ME!! See there I am on the top left hand corner!

Woo Hoo :) I won a lovely handy Storage with Style craft bag! This will surely be useful to take with me for my card making lessons which I hold here for the kids! But that is not all.... 'cos then back home.. I found TWO, yes TWO packs for me in my letter box.

OMG .. couldn't believe it! One had this set of five Promarkers which I won at the I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge and then the other was from my dear friend Kelly,.

OMG all those goodies!!! so beautiful. I don't find these things here in Malta! I just loved them. Can't wait to get my hands on them ... but again... that is not all..

What else now you are saying!!

I won something else, and this time from Heather's Coffee Break. Yesterday I participated in a blog hop, and well... I was one of the winners!!! I really enjoyed the hop 'cos first of all I got to see so many lovely cards, and secondly, I really loved the secret word thing, cos I never manage to do a blog hop with just the comments. This is because I never can leave a comment when the comment form is not set to a Pop Up Form, don't know why I got this problem, so this time I didn't have this problem as we had to get the word. ... mind you, I still left messages!!! And what did I win... two gorgeous digi images of my choice from the Fresh Brewed Designs Shop.. can't wait to get them!

Now for a card now of course... this is what I did today using the free gift tags from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The papers were from the Quick Cards magazine and they were also a freebie with the magazine. I thought I might enter it for the All Sorts Challenge since for this Week 40 it was 'A Tag, Ticket or Label'. Hope you like it.

** Please can you change your comment form to a popup as I wasn't able to leave a comment. Thanks
