Anything Goes - April

Hello everyone. Wow I just cant believe we're in April already .. time is flying by so quickly!! We still haven't concluded the new house plans ufff .. our architect is taking sooo long and so I'm very very disappointed and getting really frustrated :(  I just want to start and move in :(  Hopefully hopefully next week, for our third appointment we will conclude. Fingers crossed xx .. 

Some more news :) Will be hosting our first guests for this year next Saturday in our rental home, they are from Germany, then the week after we will host our second guests, this time from Italy, so I'm very excited. Still have a few days available in April if anyone is interested, which days I have put down in price too. In those days there is the Malta Annual Fireworks festival and the Green Festival going on here in Malta, so many good reasons to have a short break .... plus of course the gorgeous sunny Spring weather :) Check it out here please ... Anyway, now onto my DT Card and this time I have my card for the new monthly ANYTHING GOES challenge at Crafting By Design

Anything Goes

Hello everyone and again I'm late with my DT Card this week :/   ... It's filming time this week for the movie Murder on the Orient Express starring Johnny Depp so I've been waking up at 4.00am to be there at 5.00am and returning back home at about 6.00pm!!! So very very tiring, but at least it's fun, I'm doing something different from the usual work routine and I get to meet lots of people and making friends. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Johnny Depp boo hoo :(  :( as the scene they are filming here is near the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem and he wasn't there, but at least we got to see another famous actor, Kenneth Branagh yea yea :) (from the film Harry Potter), who is also directing the film. I'm a muslim, having a blue long veil, so when you are watching the film, just remember that I am in that scene and keep a look out for me too ha ha

Anyway, let's get on to my DT Card and this time it's for the new

This month our lovely DT Sharon will be sponsoring the challenge and is offering a stamp as a prize to the lucky winner so we are all using one of our favourite stamps.

 

 I can tell you it was very difficult to choose a stamp as I have so many that I like, so in the end I decided on a stamp from Kenny as I just love them all, and also as I had just did this card and being so tight on time lately it fit perfectly for the theme.

Have colored the image with my promarkers, digi paper for the background, happy birthday sentiment and then added some die cuts to finish it off. ... John just loves gadgets and TV and computers, so he he this guy was just right for him.

Monochrome

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your days lately and haven't been as busy as me :P I'm busy enjoying Summer whilst welcoming and seeing guests going. It is fun but of course tiring a bit too, but I love it. Everything is going fine so far, we had some fabulous reviews from guests and we also finished off the last of the rooms where we have the single beds and I furnished it with the colors blue and yellow with lots of butterflies and flowers :) It came out so nice, was really pleased. Today we saw two Italians leaving and four Russians checking in for a week. After these, we will have two English people coming for nine days and then the next ones will be also from England but in October, so for September we just have only three days not booked :) So pleased. For my card today I'm using this gorgeous image from one of our sponsors Angie's Digital Stamps, Horse With Foal, and I colored it with my promarkers in shades of greys. The background DP is an oldie, from Papermania, The Capsule Collection, and then I just added two card candy, two die cuts, the clouds and the gate and the sentiment to finish it off. I think it came out quite nice.

Father's Day

It will soon be Father's Day, so I thought I would share this card that I made. Usually I find male cards quite a challenge to do, but not this one as I knew that I wanted to do a horse for the main image. .. then well, everything came along easily.

I found the image on the internet, and colored it with my promarkers. The background DP is from a Wild Rose Studio paperpack, and then I cut out some die cuts and used twine to finish it off.

Men At Work

Hello everyone. Hope you're having a nice week. I'm in Livigno at the moment for a week holiday with hubby and some friends, so this is a scheduled post. We left last Saturday and come back this Saturday and hopefully by now we should be skiing nicely.. .. hopefully Yes as it's the first time for me skiing ha ha :0

Anyway, it's week two of the challenge Men At Work at I ♥ Promarkers, so time for Team B, to showcase their cards.

 This week we are sponsored by the fab Kenny K digi stamps, and we were so lucky to have an image to make our cards. I got to use this fab image Handyman DAD which of course I colored with my promarkers. 

 To make up my card I used digi DP, and peel offs for the tools. The happy birthday sentiment I cut out from a shop bought card and the other For DAD was in a magazine freebie gift.

I'm really pleased how my card turned out this time and I really enjoyed doing it too  My mojo must be getting back he he :)

Make us Laugh

Good morning everyone. I'm at home today, feeling not so good, so not really happy with the marathon coming up next Sunday! I'm really hoping that I will be better by then, although I don't think that I will make it in good time! Anyway, will see...

Not one of my best cards this time! For my card today I decided to use this fun image that I had from Pollycraft. The background DP is from Papermania It's A Man's World and the stars border punch is MS. After I finished it I decided that this card would be perfect for my hubby, as it's his birthday next Sunday, and he loves football. So I added the three black, red and yellow card candies at the top for his fave team Germany. He does have hair though, and doesn't look like him he he but I'm sure he will like the fun of it :P

Hello everyone, hope you are having a nice day :) .. as for me ... I've just returned from work and remembered that I still had to check my credit card accounts, which is what I did!!! only to find out that I had a twice late payment fee plus interest of course!!!! grrrr I hate this ... well, definitely not a good week as MIL was also taken to hospital this week and she is still there! Doctors say it's nothing serious but still not nice on an 80 year old. Besides that, next week we have a family wedding, so we're hoping she'll be out by then.

One for the Boys

I didn't go out running this week.. The weather has been very windy and chilly brrr and I didn't feel like going out! Yesterday however, while taking my son to his Maths private lesson, I saw people jogging outside, which made me feel guilty, so I'm going to make an extra effort and do my training today, keeping fingers crossed that weather will be nicer :) !!

I was so excited about this as it was my turn to get to choose a clear stamp set to make my card this week and I immediately chose Jake's Stamp Set, which I loved instantly as soon as I saw it. I  thought it would be perfect to make a card for my son who likes to play with his skateboard!

The stamp set, which stamps so nice and clear, consists of six stamps. I used five of them, the boy stamp, the skateboard and small stars which I stamped on the background DP, the sentiment stamp and another stamp which I used to stamp on the sides of the DP and on the sentiment! I was so pleased with how my card turned out and really enjoyed making it :)

Steam Punk or Mechanical

Hi everyone. I'm so late with my DT Card today! It's so so hot here and makes me feel so tired, so straight after work today I just had a nap and then it was already time to prepare dinner and go for my Bokwa class!! Not having ever done a steam punk themed card, and not being also my favourite theme, I of course opted for the mechanical theme.

The image that I used is from Fred She Said, which is another of the images that I had chose from my lucky win some time ago. This image immediately reminded me of my dad as he had a car just like this, but a different color... In fact I was going to color it the same color as his, but I wanted to use these nice car papers that I had, which I thought they were perfect to go with this image.

For a Male

All alone at home at the moment, everyone staying out til late today. I just had my Bokwa fitness class in the evening, returning home early, so I thought I would share this birthday card I made today for a Juventus football fan.

The image is from Karen's Doodles, which I colored with my promarkers and then I added glossy accents on the TV screen for the final touch.

Anything Goes

Good morning everyone. Today I'm taking the day off as it was my sister's birthday on Monday and so we're going out shopping and then for lunch. It's very rare that we are together like this so I thought it would be nice to spend a day together.

Use the Sketch

One of the things I have been starting to love to do lately is having a nap as soon as I return home after work. It's not always that I can do this, but it's what I did today and it felt so good :)

For a change I decided to make a masculine card as I'm always putting these off and never have any of these ready. The stamp was a freebie in a magazine and the colors that I used this time are FlexMarkers. I got loads of ProMarkers but just one pack of FlexMarkers, and I really love these pens... so guess what's in my wishlist now.. yes FlexMarkers!!
