The scientific name is Clitoria ternatea, but commonly known as
butterfly-pea,
blue-pea, bunga telang and
cordofan-pea, is a plant species belonging to the Fabaceae family.
Bunga telang is climbing vines which produce purple colour flowers! In Asian dessert, the flowers are used as colouring. It produce very contrast and beautiful blue colour to any dessert. Nasi Kerabu , a famous Kelantan rice recipe get it's beautiful colour from this flowers. The flowers can be boil and it produce beautiful blue syrup! The seed pod can be eaten while tender!
