I haven't been a very good blogger lately but I have been busy scrapping! I even went to a crop this month which I haven't done in over a year. It was nice to get away and scrap without any distractions. I've been so inspired lately that I've scrapped over 25 layouts just this month. I hate putting them away so I was excited to stumble across this cool idea! This fun layout display is nothing more than a curtain rod, rings with clips and old page protectors. I had this open space between two dormer windows right at the top of the stairs. It was a perfect addition to display all my recent faves! I'm sharing a few of my fave layouts I've done recently too! And if you are still following my blog I definitely plan on blogging more regularly in April and I'm thinking of focusing more on scrapping! So stay tuned!

Cabin Fever
Gabi woke up last Tuesday with a 102 degree fever that didn't break until Saturday! The doctor said it was just a virus going around that had to run its course! Although she is still fighting a cold her energy has returned and she is tired of being cooped up in the house! I can't blame her! I scrapped all week but even that grew old! I am looking forward to returning to school tomorrow! I aired out the house all day today, cleaned, washed, and sanitized everything! Hoping to keep this nasty virus from hitting any of the rest of us. Gabi also discovered her first loose tooth this weekend! She is so excited. She can't stop wiggling it she is so anxious for it to fall out. Another milestone!

Spring Forward
I am so excited that spring is just around the corner! I have the winter blues and could use a little sunshine to brighten my day! With the state of the economy and our finances things have been a little tense around the house. Rick stressed himself out for weeks filling out paperwork, meeting with bankers, and getting our house appraised in the hopes to refinance. It was quite disappointing to go through all of that only to find that we owe more money on our home than it is currently worth and because we own land we do not qualify for refinancing. Not to mention that our house is only 5 years old and seems to be falling apart around us. We recently had to replace the french doors in our living room and kitchen, our storm door needs replaced, and our water heater just went out. Then yesterday we woke up and looked out to see shingles from our roof in our front yard! We really had to laugh and ask ourselves what else could go wrong but seriously the wind was so strong the roof was blowing off! Crazy! So we are looking forward and just taking it day by day. Rick would like to sell the house, pay off student loans and start life over completely debt free. I understand his frustration with the house and the economy but we have built this home together and spent the first five years of Gabi's life here making memories. It is not that we can not afford our house payments but I think Rick has taken on too much trying to turn our home into a profitable farm and he is frustrated. He obsesses with building up a savings and investing every spare penny. It was a big step for him to buy a home after we were married because he's paid cash for everything including his vehicles and the thought of paying interest on anything stresses him out! Honestly, the things he finds fault with his family are the exact qualities he has! So, only time will tell. We'll see where it takes us.
