FREE Hope Fights Digistamp from Whimsie Doodles

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Melyssa at Whimsie Doodles has created a new digistamp and sentiment to help support breast cancer research.

Her name is Hope Fights, and we think she represents the pink ribbon campaign in a fantastic way. Hope is FREE from today (October 21st) through Friday, October 23rd, on the Whimsie Doodles Website. After Friday, there will be a charge, with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Research. Melyssa has decided to share her for free for a couple of days so that we can get as many people to participate as possible! In fact, Hope is our Whimsie Wednesday challenge at Paper Craft Planet today. So download Hope, tell your friends, and come play along for a good cause if you can!

Today is also the day for our Whimise Doodles sketch challenge on the Whimsie Blog. Share your creation on our BLOG using the sketch provided and you'll be entered to win a FREE digi!
If you're like us, you like to combine challenges, so feel free to combine your Hope image with the sketch challenge!

I made this card to give to a family friend of ours named Gayle who is surviving her battle against Breast Cancer. She will be walking in the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk coming up in our area on October 30th - November 1st.

This is a picture of the Sisterhood of the Sunshine Survivors and our friend Gayle is on the very left in the back row. Their motto is Cancer is not for Chickens!! Gayle has set up her own personal page for the Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk to help raise money for this great cause. If you are interested in donating money to this wonderful cause and don't have any one to donate in the name of, I would ask that you consider donating to Gayle. Her story can be found HERE!

Have a wonderful Whimsie of a Wednesday and may your bucket be overflowing with hopes and prayers for those battling Breast Cancer!

Whimsie Doodles Sneak Peek!

Melyssa at Whimsie Doodles is releasing some new digistamps tomorrow and I am excited to be showing you a Sneak Peek of one of her new images today! If you come back tomorrow I will show you more of the new releases and also another project I have made for this release. As always, they are all adorable and you won't want to miss getting them!

Today's project is super easy and shows off one of the wonderful advantages that digistamps have over traditional rubber stamps. Because digistamps are electronic image files, and are printed out using your home printer, they can also be printed out on anything that can run through your printer.

For my project today I am using T-shirt Transfer paper to print on and then I am ironing it onto my project!

Here is a cute little Trick-or-Treat bag that I made using a cheap Michael's canvas bag and a digistamp from the Bits and Bites set being released tomorrow at Whimsie Doodles.

With each digistamp you purchase from Melyssa, you receive a jpg and png file. The neat thing about the png files is that no matter how you resize them, they maintain their print quality. As you can see from a closeup below, I enlarged this image from its original size of 1.9" x 2.6" to nearly four times its size at 4.09" x 5.63" and you can see how it has maintained a very clear quality without pixelating.

To add to the project I added my own text box in Microsoft Word to include the "Happy Halloween" sentiment on the bag. And I also added my own ribbon bow and button that I placed over the Skull's drawn bow for extra dimension and interest.

This adorable image called the Skull will be available tomorrow at Whimsie Doodles in the Bits & Bites Halloween digistamp set. Don't be afraid!! Be sure to get yours right away!!

If you want to be sure to never miss out on any new releases or specials that Melyssa may be having over at Whimise Doodles, be sure to head on over to her blog and sign up for the newsletter. In so doing, you will be sent the adorable digistamp you see pictured below!

Have a great Monday and may your bucket overflow with easy projects for the upcoming holidays!

Happy Easter! FREE Downloads for You!

Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend and a very Happy Easter! I want to publicly thank my best friend Tiffani who spent over twelve hours yesterday helping me finish Leah's Graduation announcements. You are the best friend ever Tiff--- I love you!!! They need to get in the mail ASAP! The majority of them are finished and will be mailed tomorrow!

Needless to say, there wasn't a lot of time to make other cards or scrapbook layouts this weekend, but I have spent some time getting my disaster area of a stamp room cleaned up. I can finally see some counter space again, so that is good!!

Quickly I wanted to show you that last few cards I made for Easter. No Fine Print is being listed, so if you have any questions about the stamps or supplies used, please leave me your question in the comments section.

This first one comes from the Wacky Wednesdaay color challenge on the blog called 365 Cards which was to use the colors orange, purple and green. Surprisingly these colors actually worked for an Easter Card! The sketch is one of Lauren Meader's My Time Sketches (#29)

This second card is probably my favorite one this Easter. I gave it to my mom and she loved it! It is the only one that truly talks about the real meaning of Easter with the resurrection of Christ. My mom is a wonderful Christian woman and I knew she would appreciate this type of card. The sketch for this card is from SCS Sketch Challenge 223.

For good measure I threw in a couple of other challenges into this one too! One is from the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog's Be Inspired challenge 26 where we were to use vellum on an Easter project.

This picture depicts the inside of my mom's card which shows that I also decorated the inside which was a challenge given to us on the ABC Challenge Blog for the letter I that stands for "inside."

Remember this card with the Easter Chick Cutting file that I made recently? You might recall that I told you that I would give you the cutting file and the downloadable digital stamp file for FREE? Well, I finally got them ready for you to be able to download (see below.)

I also decided to make a card from the digital stamp file of that cute little chickie coming out of the egg. I really like how it turned out! What do you think??

Sorry for getting these to you so late in the game as far as Easter is concerned, but maybe you can use them for next year!

Have a great night and may your bucket overflow with thankfulness for the fact that He lives!
