IHSW results

So I did spent the weekend only stitching (and from time to time working) and I'm really happy with the results, on Saturday I only stitched on my Mistery Project, I was able to put it more 906 stitches, so I now have 3902 stitches (done over 5 stitching days) of 27750, I just hope I can keep the pace, that way I'll have more than time to finish it properly...
Now on Sunday I changed to SK Treasures (it's the SAL weekend for it) because I wanted to have a picture to share too... I stitched the first column (950 stitches), I think today I'll stitch a bit more on SK Treasures, since it's on the stand and I'll change to the MP later on tonight... and here is the photo :)

Keeping the IHSW spirit / Mantendo o espirito do IHWS

I decided to keep the IHSW spirit during my "weekend" since my days off from work are Monday and Tuesday, and therefore I spent two more days almost only stitching.
I haven't stitched much, or at least not as much as I would have liked too (as usual) but I still managed to get almost another finish, I stitched Stressed out Cat by Margaret Sherry (in theory it's finished but I want to add an extra sentence) and I did stitch two more columns on the SAL SK Treasures... I'm hoping that by tomorrow, Thursday I'll have the first page finished, or nearly finished so I can go back to Jasmin and try to have it finished by the weekend and have a week full of finishings, since it will be Stressed Out Cat finished, 1st page of Treasures finished, and Jasmin finished as well... Now the photos will be just after the Portuguese version of the post since I got my mum following my blog to see my progress too :)

Dragon Fae 1 and Tree of Stitches

As the title says, that's what I've been working on this week, I've done a couple more stitches on Dragon Fae and completed my first page, and did a bit more, and managed to stitch up to Part 7 on my Tree of Stitches, I must say i'm really enjoying learning all the new stitches :)

And here are the pictures of my work

Another goal completed and a new start

On Thursday I finished another column on QS Believe and I completed my 2nd goal for this month. I intended to stitch more on it, but the thrill to start SK Treasures was bigger an on Friday I started it. By the end of today I have more or less 1400stitches done, now I'm not sure if tomorrow I'll add a few more stitches to it or if I start my Tree of Stitches from the TSS, tomorrow I'll see, meanwhile here are some pics of my
progresses

No stitching for nearly a week :S

Yes it's true, for nearly a week I didn't make a single stitch. But in my defense I was with a terrible crisis of tonsilitis (followed by migraines and ear pain) and because I was in such a pain I wasn't in the mood to do anything. The only thing I did for this week was checking my e-mails and your blogs quickly since the pc didn't help the migraines, and sleeping and drinking. The only good thing off it was that I managed to loose some weight since I couldn't eat anything :).
But now I'm much better, still recovering, but better and I saw that I got my first page for the SK bookmark SAL I took part in on the HAED BB, I'll do SK Treasures, which made me feel even better :)
So today I got the fabric ready, and again I hand-dyed the fabric in light pink so the black and white effect will be more visible I really like the effect the fabric got. and most likely tomorrow I'll start the first stitches on it.

I think you can see the colour better on the second picture where I grid the first page already. I hope that with the first white stitches the fabric colour will become a bit more visible on the pictures, since they are not showing the colour it really has.
Now going to do some more stitching on Believe :)

Happy stitches

Two monthly goals completed

Today I manage to complete two more of the monthly goals I set for myself, making the bookmark for the swap-bot exchange, which I promise I'll share here after the person or whom was created receives, I'm not posting earlier because I don't want to ruin the surprise.

The second was completing the 1,5 rows on Dragon Fae 1, and now there's only another 1,5 rows to complete my first page on it... and for this one I have a picture to share :)

Also I want to share with you the graphic I created for the ornament I made and for which I posted pictures on my last entry here on the blog. Hope you like it!

Before starting the monthly goal

During this week, more precisely on Tuesday and Wednesday I've worked on Dragon Fae, and manage to complete almost two vertical rows, and now the tip of the faery wing and a part of the dragon horn are starting to show. I'm tent stitching the background (it really is fast) and doing the fairy and dragon on full cross-stitching and I can already see it popping from the background, unfortunately is a too small area to be visible on the picture.

Also, I started doing the freebie "Flower Fairy" from DMC, that came with the world of cross stitching, that a friend, Jenny, kindly sent me, and I'm really pleased wirh the progress I'm really enjoying it.  Here are the photos after 1 night stitching and after two night stitching.

I hope you like it.

Updates - Touch of Spring and a new start

Last Friday I got the best visit of the month. The postman came with a package for me, and guess what it was the stitching frame I had ordered, and as obvious I had to try it, specially when I had been containing myself from start Dragon Fae 1 until I received it, because I wanted it to be the first one to try the new framing system. I'm simply loving it. And I think I'm faster, although I can't actually compare it yet, because I'm stitching the background on tent stitch and I'll do the dragon and the fairy on full stitch.

Meanwhile I focused on Touch of Spring (until Friday) and I'm nearly finishing one more full page and one partial page. I must confess I'm loving it, the shadows on the hand are so gorgeous and it makes it seem so real.

And of course here you have the pictures:

I hope you like them as much as I do
