HELLO TWEETIE

This weeks Copic Colour challenge #59 calls for the use of these 3 colours:

YR16 - apricot

BG49 - duck blue

E18 - copper

I don't have the copper pen as it isn't a ciao so I used E29 - burnt umber instead.

The papers are from the We R Memory Keepers, nonsense stack, the little girl is a Sugar Nellie stamp, Manga Girl #2.

Fun to do and I could think of several little and not so little girls who resemble her as well!!!

COPIC EASEL CARD

Another whole day to make just one card. I will be so glad to get rid of this cold and clear my head. Better go tomorrow as I have a workshop on Saturday.

Yesterday's Copic Colour challenge #54 was to use these lovely colours:

BG15 - Aqua

B93 - Light Crockery Blue

Y21 - Buttercup Yellow

I used Sugar Nellie stamp, Manga Girl #1 together with some Bazzil cardstock, Basic Grey papers, Prima flowers, Martha Stewart deep edge flower punch and a few embellishments.

Considering the time I keep spending on just one card, I am also entering this into the Lily of the Valley challenge #48 - Easel card .

Please check out the side bar for links to both of these challenges.

TOTALLY PAPERCRAFTS #5

I had a play yesterday and came up with this card for the Totally Papercrafts challenge #5 which this week is a sketch. Check out the link in the side bar.

The image is Sugar Nellie - Manga Girl #2 which I have coloured with Copics (only need RV29 for the full set of ciao). The papers are from my stash, the purple ribbons are DCWV and the green is out of my ribbon box. The flowers are Prima and the beadazzle circles came with them. Not sure where I got the brads from though. I cut the plain circle of card with my Fiskars circle cutter - got the hang of that thing now! - and the scalloped paper was die cut using a nestability frame.

I like it when the challenge is a sketch and this one was a really nice one to complete.

BLOSSOM

First of all, may I say a big thank you to Artyjen for replying to my plea of where to buy a project pan for my melt pot. I've ordered one from Graphicus and it's already on it's way. Now that's service.

Only 3 more lots of penicillin to go to clear up this skin infection that suddently appeared on my cheeks - face cheeks that is LOL. I thought this year was going to be illness-free after the awful time I had in 2009, but so far, I've had that awful stomach bug and now this infection. Anyway, I will not be pulled down again by illness, just 'cos I get my prescriptions free now doesn't mean I have to have any!!! Onwards and upwards I say!

Back to crafting. The challenge this fortnight on Lily of the Valley #47,(http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/) is a lovely sketch. I love these challenges because, for me, half the work is done. This is my entry. I've used PM papers, Prima flowers, a peeloff I coloured with a white Sakura souffle pen, ribbon and buttons from my stash, my Nellies frames, the beautiful Sugar Nellie stamp - Blossom - hence the post title and my Copics - of which I now have a grand total of 142!!!! Whoopee!

I have used this weeks Copic Colour Challenge #52 colours; C3 - cool grey, R11 - pale cherry pink, G21 - lime green. Click on the link on the R/H of my blog to see their challenge blog and, hey! have a go.

BOYS

Having just received this lovely Sugar Nellie image - Manga Boy - I had to have a play, just as I was able to have a little play with my new grandson yesterday when he made his first visit to our house with his daddy. Magic!!

Anyway, I've used a mixture of papers together with a few bits that a little boy may just have in his pocket, ie. string, buttons and a frog! What fun this was to make.

I would like to enter it in the Craft Garden February challenge - Boys,
and the

Totally Papercrafts challenge #2 - 3 embellishments, - 2 papers, - 1 image.

SO MUCH TO DO

Where does time go?

I've 'plodded' my way through the last 3 days and not done a fraction of the things I need to complete. This morning was spent shreading paper and clearing out drawers. I didn't stop either but the morning just flew by. The worse thing of all is the fact that I havn't done one bit of crafting!

I coloured some lovely Sugar Nellie images whilst away last week and had all intentions of making them into cards this week, but no!

Right, plan of action - again. Check when it's going to rain so that any washing gets done, check rest of list and ......oh blow all of that, I'm going to plan some crafting time.

Watch out tomorrow, here she comes!!!

A MOST ENJOYABLE CRAFTY FEW DAYS

If you ever get the chance to go to Weston Park near Telford, then you will enjoy the experience if only for the gorgeous park land. This was our second trip to the model aircraft show and it was the best.
I'm not really in to model flying, although we also go to the Woodvale show which is near Formby on Merseyside. That show is also for families, not just flying enthusiasts, although some would argue that Weston is a family show too, but there's nothing there for me. The craft tent covers things like, homemade biscuits and wooden plaques, but no paper craft. Having moaned a bit about that, what the few days did allow me was time to make some cards and ATCs without interruption. I had a ball.

As mentioned before, we had excellent web conncection but it kept throwing us out in the middle of doing anything. I could'nt load photos which I could last year. Anyway, never mind, I've put some on here and some on my Flickr. See what you think of the lovely cards thanks to Sugar Nellie.
My hubby has now gone to Beverley to help my (soon to be another year older and best friend) step daughter and Micky install their gorgeous new kitchen. I have a 'to do' list as long as my frozen shoulder arm to keep me going whilst he is away, so doubt I shall get much crafting done - not half!!!!!
Thanks for reading this.

SUGAR NELLIE

Whilst being unable to do anything too strenuous because of a frozen shoulder, (had an injection this morning!), I have managed to make a few cards using 2 gorgeous rubber stamps from Funky Kits.

I saw these in the June edition of Cardmaking & Papercraft and it was a case of love at first sight - must have those!! Actually, I fell in love with rather more than 2 and have since taken receipt of a further 3! SShh! don't tell.

Anyway, I've popped some pics on Flickr, but here's a couple to whet your appetite.

SUNBATHING

Not had chance to blog lately because the sun came out!!!

Being a rare sight I just had to make the most of it and now have a lovely tan, (got a lot of white bits still though!) I tried to compute outside and despite being in the shade, couldn't see the screen so I gave up.

I've managed to complete my stack of cards for the troops and have made 51 A6 to go abroad and 38 to sell for funds towards our returning injured lads. I'll take them to Dawn's next weekend when I go to Lindsay's workshop.

Having read Leonie's blog about her piece in the Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine, I bought it. However, it led to a bit of a spend becaue I fell in love with Sugar Nellie stamps. Made by Funkykits they are gorgeous. Must have more!! I bought 2, Fragile Beauty and Country Garden and spent some time yesterday simply colouring in the images. I'll pop on a photo of a card I made later in the summer because it's for my lovely step daughter and she will see it before she should if I show it now.

We have had the most amazing time for over 12months now, feeding birds in the garden. The number of different species visiting us is unbelievable. There are 2 pairs of blackbirds coming, both of which appear to be on their 2nd batch of young. Mrs Blackie was also inspired by the sunshine to do a bit of bathing in it!!
